The 10-time All-Star will enter his first full season with the Mavericks in the fall after being traded from the Lakers in the blockbuster Luka Doncic deal.
Davis burst onto the scene in Dallas during his first game after the shocking trade, dropping 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks in just 31 minutes before leaving the game with a groin injury, which took him off the court for a month and a half.
He had already been sidelined for several games with an abdominal strain before the trade and his debut with the Mavericks.
In total, Davis played nine regular-season games and both play-in games for the Mavericks before being eliminated by the Grizzlies.

Star point guard Kyrie Irving tore his ACL in early March and isn't expected to be ready to return until late next season — if at all.
Big men Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II also missed big chunks of the season.
In Irving's absence, Davis is expected to take on a huge workload on both ends of the floor.
He'll have help from the highly anticipated rookie Cooper Flagg, whom the Mavericks drafted after getting fortunate in the draft lottery and landing the No. 1 overall pick.

Cooper Flagg scores 10 in Summer League debut; Mavs edge Lakers
Dallas Mavericks rookie and No. 1 NBA Draft pick Cooper Flagg contributed 10 points, six rebounds and four assists in 32 minutes in his Las Vegas Summer League debut Thursday as the Mavericks edged the Los Angeles Lakers 87-85. Flagg added three steals and a block. He went scoreless during the second half and finished 5-for-21 from the floor. "Not up to my standard, but I'm going to regroup; I'm going to be all right," Flagg told ESPN postgame. "This is a new feeling, new environment, new teammates, but the guys settled down." Lakers second-year guard Bronny James missed a potential go-ahead trey in the closing seconds. Los Angeles' Cole Swider led all scorers with 22 points to go with 10 rebounds. Ryan Nembhard paced Dallas with 21 points and Miles Kelly followed with 17. The main attraction, though, was undeniable. Fans at the Thomas & Mack Center buzzed when Flagg got touches as well as during his early, sporadic defensive matchups against James, who scored his team's first five points and finished with eight. Speaking during halftime of ESPN's broadcast, Mavericks coach Jason Kidd lauded Flagg's moxie during his unofficial professional debut. "I think when you have someone like Cooper who can handle, who can shoot, who can pass, you want the ball in his hands," Kidd said. "He's a great decision-maker. He did that at Duke and also in high school. So, you get to see it tonight. He's going to have some mistakes. We all did; we all threw it in the stands once in a while, but I think just his poise as an 18-year-old is incredible." Dalton Knecht (15 points) and DJ Steward (14) also scored in double figures for the Lakers. Darius Bazley grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds. Lakers defenders double-teamed Flagg upon receiving a pass in the backcourt after Dallas won the opening tip. Addressing the sequence at halftime, Kidd said, "I think that's out of respect." Flagg missed his first two field goal attempts but found his rhythm following a short breather in the first quarter. He scored six straight Mavericks points between the 4:35 and 2:49 mark, netting his first field goal on a running, one-hand dunk after securing a steal at the other end of the floor. Flagg shot 5-for-15 in the first half with three rebounds and one assist. "He's handled the ball, he's gotten wide-open shots for teammates, he's finished," Kidd said. "I think you've seen a lot of what he can do in this league." --Field Level Media Field Level Media 2023 - All Rights Reserved

NFL execs, coaches rank Colts' Quenton Nelson among best interior OL
No surprise here, but NFL execs and coaches rank the Colts' Quenton Nelson among the best interior OL. No surprise here, but NFL execs, coaches, and scouts believe that the Indianapolis Colts' Quenton Nelson is one of the best interior offensive linemen entering the 2025 season. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler compiled his ranking of the top 10 interior offensive linemen, and to do so, he spoke with the "league's true insiders." After coming in at No. 2 last season on this list, Nelson is No. 3 this year. "Nelson is building what could become a Hall of Fame case, making the Pro Bowl every year since 2018," wrote Fowler. "The Colts thought Nelson bounced back with a resurgent 2023 after a down 2022 (for his standards), and he remained solid in 2024 with a 94.4 pass block win rate and 77.1 run block win rate, the latter tying for first among the top 10 interior linemen." As mentioned, Nelson has now made seven consecutive Pro Bowls, and he was a second-team All-Pro in 2024 as well, his first time making an All-Pro team since 2021. Along with ESPN's metrics, PFF's data also illustrates what was a very good 2024 season for Nelson. He ranked 15th among all guards in pass-blocking efficiency, and he was fourth in run-blocking grade. Running back Jonathan Taylor averaged 4.8 yards per rush when running to Nelson's direct left and 5.3 yards per rush when running to his direct right. With second-year players Tanor Bortolini and Matt Goncalves taking over at center and right guard, Nelson's experience and high level of play will be crucial in providing the Colts' interior offensive line with any needed stability with two relatively inexperienced starters next to him. Certainly, all eyes will be on Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson, but consistent success for either of those quarterbacks starts with the Colts' offensive line providing time in the pocket and a run game to lean on.
