Matlock Duo Sing Us a Li'l Something, Rave That ‘Everyone' Now Wants to Appear on the CBS Hit — WATCH
Matlock co-stars Skye P. Marshall and Jason Ritter make a bit of beautiful music together at the top of the TVLine red carpet video above. After harmonizing a few bars and then amazingly speaking in totally perfect unison, the on-screen exes got to revisiting some of the freshman CBS hit's biggest twists. 'There were no other actors, it was just me and Kathy Bates in the room,' the actress tells TVLine West Coast Bureau Chief Dave Nemetz in the video above. 'I just had to breathe outside of that [office] door, and every time I walked in was very much, 'Don't try to nail it, just be honest. Just listen to what she's saying and respond wholeheartedly.'' As Marshall notes, 'It's the not acting, that's what makes great performances.' Matlock Boss Talks Finale's Big Reveal, If [Spoiler] Will Be Back for Season 2 View List Ritter then steps up to survey Julian's 'incredibly complicated relationship' with his father, Senior, who 1) passed Julian over for a promotion to partner 2) years after tasking him with stealing a legal document that was damning for Welbrexa, Jacobson Moore's Big Pharma client. 'As much as Senior drives him crazy, as much as he's been hurt by Senior, I think there's a part of [Julian] that still would love Senior to say, 'I'm proud of you, son,' one time,' Ritter posits. But will that longing for approval get in the way of Julian possibly allying with Olympia and Matty to pin the Welbrexa cover-up on Senior in Season 2? 'It's going to be fascinating seeing what happens next season,' Ritter ventures. 'I can't wait to see what the writers come up with.' To hear Marshall tell it, scores of other actors also would love to wield the Matlock writers' words, coming off the not-a-reboot's success as the TV season's most-watched new program. Whereas everyone, when the show was first announced in spring 2024, mocked the need for a 'reboot' of the late-1980s Andy Griffith courtroom drama, 'Now everyone's like, 'Can I please get on Matlock?!' says Marshall. 'Matlock means something completely different now, in such a short time,' she attests. Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman 'flipped' the script on everyone, while executive producer Eric Christian Olsen, who had rights to Matlock and brought them to Urman, 'hit a lottery,' Marshall marvels. 'He built a universe for us and brought all of us together. I feel like we're the Avengers!' Want scoop on , or for any other TV show? Nickelodeon Cancels "The Tiny Chef Show" and the Internet Is Crying Over the 'Raw' Announcement
On June 24, it was revealed that Nickelodeon canceled stop-motion series The Tiny Chef Show The cancellation announcement took the internet by storm, with tens of thousands of Instagram comments praising the emotional video The series started as a social media sketch but was picked up by Nickelodeon in 2022The Tiny Chef Show's cancellation is breaking the internet's heart. On Tuesday, June 24, The Tiny Chef Show shared the sad announcement across all social media platforms that its two-season run on Nickelodeon was ending. The whimsical stop-motion series is about a felt creature named Tiny Chef who teaches children to cook from his small kitchen. It started as a sketch show on social media and evolved into a two-season Nickelodeon show, which won two Children's and Family Emmy Awards and featured guest stars including Kristen Bell, Tony Hawk and Alan Cumming. In the video, Chef is cleaning around his tree stump home and gets a phone call from Nickelodeon, which has aired the series since 2022. 'You ready to cook up some more episodes? I got a million ideas,' Tiny Chef says excitedly into the phone before gasping. 'Canceled?' he says aghast. 'What do you mean, canceled?' He scrambles to convince the person on the other end, saying, 'I have ideas that will blow your minds!' In a sad tone, he says, 'But we won an Emmy?' before concluding the call. 'I understand. I love you too,' Tiny Chef says. Tiny Chef hangs up the phone and tries to resume dusting a plant. He quickly covers his face with his hands, moves over to sit on the edge of his bed and cries. In the caption, the show's creators asked fans to help with crowdfunding to keep the series going after the 'very unexpected' cancellation. They thanked the network for two 'blamazing' seasons and wrote, 'Chef wouldn't want anyone to blame his friends over there, he's just deeply sad he doesn't get to continue hosting a show he adores.' The announcement blew up, quickly garnering more than 17,000 comments on Instagram. 'The world needs you now more than ever,' one person commented and another wrote, 'This literally just made me cry 😭 keep your head up cheffie!' 'Can we talk about how beautifully raw, honest, and emotional this scene is??? Like I've never seen disappointment encapsulated so perfectly in such a short timeframe,' one person wrote, calling the video 'Oscar worthy.' Other people tagged other TV networks like Food Network, PBS and Disney and asked if they would pick up the series. Read the original article on People

Vampire Weekend has four shows in New Jersey. How much do tickets cost?
Vivid Seats is the New York Post's official ticketing partner. We may receive revenue from this partnership for sharing this content and/or when you make a purchase. Featured pricing is subject to change. Vampire Weekend is returning to their roots. The beloved indie group — who just launched the second leg of their 'Only God Was Above Us Tour' — announced that, due to overwhelming demand, they are playing four concerts at lead singer Ezra Koenig's hometown-adjacent Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ. These highly-anticipated concerts are set to take place Monday, Sept. 15, Tuesday, Sept. 16, Wednesday, Sept. 17 and Thursday, Sept. 18 at the intimate venue, which can only fit 2,137 audience members. Advertisement As an added dose of nostalgia, Koenig's high school band, The Sophisticuffs, will open all four shows. 'Sophisticuffs was a Glen Ridge, NJ band active from roughly 1999-2002,' the band shared via Instagram. 'Ezra was a member ages 15-17 along with his good friends Wes, Steve, Dan and Andrei. They played the vast majority of their shows in Montclair, usually at Serendipity (in the Congregational Church) or at the Possible Side Effects improv events under the Clairidge Theater. They dabbled in surf, post-rock, Christmas, punk and pop music. Ezra is thrilled to reunite onstage with the band for the first time since high school. You can expect to hear [their] songs like 'Chicken Dance,' 'Hello Professor,' and 'Great Expectations.'' While it's likely Sophisticuffs will stick to a fairly strict set list, we'd expect anything but for Vampire Weekend. At their most recent shows, they've been mixing things up and ending their sets with all-over-the-map encores where they play a number of covers requested by the audience, as reported by Set List FM. Advertisement If this sounds like the freewheeling show for you, tickets are available for all four homecoming Vampire Weekend New Jersey concerts as of today. At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one Wellmont Theater show was $83 including fees on Vivid Seats. Their other three shows have tickets starting anywhere from $111 to $132 including fees. Not bad to see Vampire Weekend and The Sophisticuffs up close and personal in a much smaller venue than they typically play. Vampire Weekend new music On April 5, 2024, Vampire Weekend released their fifth studio album 'Only God Was Above Us.' In the very off chance you haven't listened yet, the guys still have the goods. The precise yet ramshackle opener 'Ice Cream Piano' is a slice of piano pop heaven with pounding percussions, swirling strings and washed out guitar mixed in over Koenig's lush vocals. From there, the goofy 'Classical' finds one groove, settles into another and becomes something entirely different. Oftentimes, 'OGWAU' is so inspired that it struggles to sit with one melody or idea for too long; this isn't a knock on the group though. The band's restlessness keeps the listener on their toes in the best way. Advertisement 'Capricorn,' the third track, oscillates between twinkly piano ballad and noise rock; Koenig's soft, unassuming lyrics ('I know you're tired of trying baby, you don't have to try' is a standout) glide over lush keys until the tune hurtles into overdrive two minutes in with discordant noise-rock before bringing it back to basics. For the remainder of the brief 47-minute runtime, Vampire Weekend continue to surprise and innovate. 'Connect' marries DIY banging on drums with synthetic autotune; 'Prep School Gangsters' takes a page out of The Beach Boys' laid-band, seaside playbook. Although each song features the same ingredients (and all sound unmistakably Vampire Weekend-ian) the end result is unique each time. In the back half, 'The Surfer' goes a more lo-fi airy route than the five tunes that preceded it yet still features majestic swirls. 'Gen-X Cops' transitions from an out and out garage rock anthem into something a bit more precious — a hard driving, head-bopping indie anthem. Best of all though, might be the melancholy, triumphant, choir-backed 'Mary Boone.' It fits squarely into this critic's favorite genre: the heartbreaking, singalong anthem that gives you goosebumps every time you hear it. Closing us out is the charming thumper 'Pravda' (which just might be the most perfect 'making dinner' song to ever exist) and 'Hope,' an eight-minute epic with the refrain 'I Hope You Let It Go.'
