Eagles get long-awaited update on Super Bowl ring ceremony
They say good things come to those who wait. To a man or woman, every member of the Philadelphia Eagles players, roster, coaching staff, and front office all agree. Last season is over. The page has been turned. It's time to win another Lombardi Trophy. Still, there's one final puzzle piece remaining in putting a bow on what was a championship season.
No one has received their championship rings yet.
A month ago, an update came. Philly was going to have to wait a little longer for their rings than previously expected. According to a report, the commissioned jewelers required additional time to add the finishing touches to the final product. Hey, no one is going to complain about that, right? After all, when one does something, they should aspire to do it right, shouldn't they? When they're done, everyone wants them to be a satisfactory representation of what was a phenomenal season.
CBS Sports' Jeff Kerr provided an update via his X account. The expected arrival time is July 18.
Don't bank on any leaks or advanced views. The design of Super Bowl rings is usually kept top secret. Rumor has it, however, that there may be the depiction of two Lombardi Trophies as Philadelphia is now a two-time Super Bowl champion.

Should We 'Expect' Commanders Regression In 2025?
Should We 'Expect' Commanders Regression In 2025? originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Washington Commanders, replicating their efforts from last season, will be the carrot dangling in front of Dan Quinn's team, but it is one they might not catch. Advertisement A 12-5 regular season and an NFC Championship appearance is a tough act to follow up, but with Jayden Daniels, along with Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil being signed this offseason, to pair with Terry McLaurin and a run game led by Brian Robinson Jr., Washington has a lot of things going for it. The big question is, can the defense stand up when it needs to? Still lacking a genuine pass rusher after, for some reason, Dante Fowler Jr., the sack leader of last year, was allowed to walk out the door, we have our concerns. But can Washington, who now have genuine Super Bowl aspirations, be as good as last year? "Daniels was the story, but Washington's surprising offensive line was also why this team won 12 games," The Athletic's Jacob Robinson writes. "That group lost starting G Sam Cosmi to an ACL injury in January, but was smartly reinforced with Pro Bowl LT Laremy Tunsil and first-round pick RT Josh Conerly Jr. Still, their unimposing defense and tougher path — they rank behind only the Eagles for the largest year-over-year increase in schedule difficulty — is why I expect regression here." Advertisement Lon Horwedel-Imagn Images So, seeing more of the NFL's top dogs, the Commanders will play the Green Bay Packers, the improved Las Vegas Raiders, the Philadelphia Eagles (twice), the Dallas Cowboys (twice), the Los Angeles Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and the Minnesota Vikings this season. That's quite a tough year, on paper, at least. Many fans maybe expect a Commanders regression, and even if a 10-7 season is achieved, that will still feel like a success, but of course, it feels like Super Bowl or nothing for Quinn's team right now. Will the franchise be able to improve on their 12-5 season? It looks like a tall order, but then again, who saw last year's resurgence coming? Chiefs Critics Foolishly Wonder If Patrick Mahomes Has 'Peaked'
Chiefs Critics Foolishly Wonder If Patrick Mahomes Has 'Peaked' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. When talking about the greatest quarterbacks ever to play the game, Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes is up there in the conversation. Advertisement In his eight years, Patrick has been a two-time MVP winner, a three-time Super Bowl champion, a three-time Super Bowl MVP, a six-time Pro Bowler, and a two-time All-Pro. Oh, and he's been to at least the AFC Championship game every season. Just two years removed from his last MVP win, has the door been slammed shut on Patrick ever winning another? He's only 29, so we say no, but Bleacher Report, which makes a case for why Patrick won't win MVP in 2025, thinks otherwise. "Mahomes' supporting cast isn't what it was, and he has thrown an AFC-low 25 interceptions while ranking below the league median in passer rating since the start of 2023," Bleacher Report writes. "It's possible the 29-year-old peaked a few years ago." Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (15) Denny Medley-Imagn Images To count out Mahomes like that, to us, seems foolish. He is just 29 years old. Given how long we've seen quarterbacks play in the NFL, he still has potentially a decade left. Advertisement Yes, his last two seasons haven't been what we're used to, but last year, he was without Rashee Rice from Week 4 and didn't have Marquise Brown until Week 16, plus Travis Kelce had a down year. If all three of those are healthy, plus Xavier Worthy and the offensive line, which is hopefully improved, Mahomes' stats should trend upward. Are we talking MVP level (5,250, 41 touchdowns, 12 interceptions in 2023 when he won)? Likely not, but he'll be in the conversation at least. Jason Kelce swarmed by hate comments after 4th of July Instagram post
On Friday, July 4, former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce celebrated the holiday like many Americans by enjoying some fireworks. He later shared a video of the fireworks show he had seen on social media. But it was the caption that Kelce shared with the post that ruffled the feathers of some Instagram users, leading to a surge of angry comments. Advertisement 'Man I love the 4th! One of the great days we all can set aside our differences in this country, and enjoy the one thing we all share in common. That we are American! Cheers to you oh beautiful America,' Kelce captioned the post. While Kelce likely hadn't intended to be controversial with his post, many people found it tone-deaf given the timing, likely alluding to President Trump's controversial 'Big Beautiful Bill' which was signed just hours before Kelce's post. 'I love you, bro, but your privilege is showing. You are able to set things aside, but not everyone has that privilege,' commented one person. Advertisement 'Unfortunately Jason this is not real life for many. They signed the worst bill for so many Americans today just to rub it in our faces. I know it's hard to understand, but so many will suffer,' another wrote. However, not all comments were negative. Many also came to Kelce's defense, claiming there was nothing wrong with his post or his celebration of his country. 'Thank you Jason! You are correct, we are all Americans and today is the day to celebrate that, nothing else!!' wrote one fan. Read More!
