Cong will win 100 MLA seats in next polls: CM Revanth
Addressing the Samajika Nyaya Samara Bheri meeting attended by village level party leaders and cadre at the LB Stadium, the CM promised AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, who was the chief guest at the meeting, that Telangana would contribute its part for the Congress to form the government at the Centre. 'These village presidents and mandal presidents have come from across Telangana, including from tribal areas. By reading their heartbeats, I promise on their behalf that we shall not only come to power in Telangana for the second time in a row with 100 MLAs but also send 15 MPs to Delhi.
Take forward my message to Soniaji and Rahulji,' he said in Hindi, to cheers and applause from the crowd.
The CM urged the partymen to counter the 'poisonous campaign' being spread by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) through social media. He said the intensity should be such that their 'social media fortress' should be shattered into pieces.
He assured the partymen at different levels of 'doing justice', if they work hard in the upcoming local body polls.
While pointing out the likelihood of delimitation of the Assembly constituencies, Revanth Reddy said that there would be opportunities for top performers to become MLAs as Telangana would get many additional MLA seats. He also highlighted the possibility of women reservation getting implemented by the next polls and assured to support women candidates and asked them to groom themselves to grab the chance.
Over the issues of new recruitments in his government, the Chief Minister challenged the Opposition leaders for an open debate.
'I shall apologise by bowing to their feet if they prove that the government has failed to provide employment to 60,000 people. I will bring all of them to the LB Stadium and if the headcount is less than that figure, I am ready to bow to Kishan Reddy, KCR and KTR,' he affirmed, referring to Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao and BRS working president KT Rama Rao.

‘If you're such a big boss, step out of Maharashtra, come to Bihar, UP': BJP MP dares Thackeray cousins
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Monday launched a sharp attack on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray and Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray over recent incidents in Maharashtra where individuals from Hindi-speaking regions were reportedly assaulted for not conversing in Marathi. Speaking to news agency ANI, Dubey strongly condemned the alleged violence and challenged the Thackeray cousins to step outside Maharashtra and attempt similar actions in other parts of the country. 'Come to UP, Bihar or Tamil Nadu. Tumhe patak-patak ke maarenge (people will thrash you black and blue),' Dubey said, referring to the Thackerays' remarks targeting individuals from Hindi-speaking backgrounds working in Maharashtra. Dubey further dared them to 'go to Mahim dargah and try and assault any Urdu or Urdu-speaking person,' ANI reported. Addressing Raj Thackeray's controversial instruction to his party workers, "beat but don't make a video." Dubey said, 'You people are surviving on our money. What kind of industries do you have? If you have the courage to beat Hindi-speaking people, then you should also beat those who speak Urdu, Tamil, and Telugu. If you are such a big 'boss', step out of Maharashtra and come to Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, or Tamil Nadu tumko patak patak ke maarenge.' He further said, 'We all respect Marathi and the people of Maharashtra, who fought for India's independence. The BMC election is coming, and that's why Raj and Uddhav are doing cheap politics. If they have courage, they should go to Mahim and beat any Hindi or Urdu-speaking people in front of Mahim dargah.'

Cong accuses PM Modi of ignoring rain-hit Mandi's plight, says Texas is closer to his heart
The Congress on Monday (July 7, 2025) took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking whether Texas was closer to his heart than the rain-hit Mandi in Himachal Pradesh after he expressed condolences over the loss of lives due to floods in the U.S. state. In a post on X, the Congress head of media and publicity, Pawan Khera, said the Prime Minister has not said a word about the loss of lives and destruction due to floods in Mandi in Himachal Pradesh but talks of people suffering across the world. 'The PM of India has not spoken a word of consolation to those suffering in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi, where over 70 people are feared dead in the calamitous floods. Meanwhile, he is deeply saddened by the destruction caused by floods in Texas, USA,' Mr. Khera said in his post on X. 'Texas may be far from Delhi but is closer to the PM's heart than anyone in Mandi is,' he also said. In another post in Hindi on X, he said, 'Modi ji can't see what's under his feet, but he can see what's beneath the mountains. 'In Himachal Pradesh, dozens of lives have been lost due to the flood disaster, and massive destruction has occurred. He hasn't uttered a single word of condolence. But if someone in another country gets pricked by a thorn in their foot, he immediately tweets about it. Are the lives of Indian people cheaper than those of foreigners? Has even compassion now become political?' Mr. Khera asked. The Congress leader tagged a post by Modi on Saturday (July 5, 2025), where he stated, 'Deeply saddened to learn about loss of lives, especially children, in the devastating floods in Texas. Our condolences to the U.S. Government and the bereaved families.' Since the onset of the monsoon on June 20, Himachal Pradesh has reported 78 deaths, of which 50 were linked to rain-related incidents such as cloudbursts, flash floods and landslides. As many as 121 people have been injured so far. At least 30 people went missing after cloudbursts, flash floods and landslides wreaked havoc in the Thunag, Gohar and Karsog subdivisions of Mandi district last week and search and rescue operations are underway.
