John Goodman showcased his significant 200-pound weight loss at the Los Angeles premiere of his new Smurfs movie, where he voices Papa Smurf.
The actor, who weighed nearly 400 pounds at his heaviest, began his weight loss journey in 2007 by stopping drinking.
His successful transformation involved hiring a health coach, cutting sugar from his diet, working out six days a week, and focusing on portion control.
Goodman noted that unlike previous attempts where he would regain weight, this time he aimed for a slower, more sustainable approach.
He also revealed that he has not spoken to his former on-screen wife, Roseanne Barr, for approximately seven or eight years, despite their strong working relationship in the past.

Inside Sarah Michelle Gellar's grueling diet and fitness regime after stunning fans on the red carpet

It's been over 25 years since I Know What You Did Last Summer was released - and Sarah Michelle Gellar is looking better than ever. The 47-year-old actress wowed fans while attending the premiere of the reboot of the famous slasher film, looking toned and fresh faced as she posed on the red carpet. The Hollywood star looked glamorous as she stepped out with husband Freddie Prinze Jr., showing off her toned physique in a strapless Oscar de la Renta butterfly-embroidered mini dress. The screen star added orange pumps and a matching boxy clutch purse that picked up the orange hue in her fancy frock. Geller and Prinze, 49, met on the set of 1997's I Know What You Did Last Summer. They tied the knot with in 2002, and share daughter Charlotte, 14, and son Rocky, 12. Gellar, whose character was killed off in the original 90s flick, did not return for the new film. But the actress, who also starred as the titular role on the supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer which aired from 1997 until 2003, is set to reprise her role in the upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot. Below, FEMAIL dives into Gellar's fitness routine and diet as she continues to dazzle with her age-defying looks. Sarah Michelle Gellar regularly works out at the gym Gellar does not shy away from a good sweat session at the gym, often seen working out with weights. In an interview with Parade, she shared recent changes to her exercise routine, explaining she has added lifting to her routine - something she usually avoided. 'You play these characters and you can't be shredded, and you have to look a certain way. As you get older, you realize, as a female, you have to focus on bone density,' she told the publication. The actress added that she works with a trainer 'once or twice a week' for real strength training, and also love Pilates. In February, celebrity trainer Brach Gould, who is a strength and conditioning coach, shared a video, showing off one of Gellar's grueling workouts. Her session consisted of: Half Kneeling High Cable Pulls: Works the shoulders and back Single Arm Kettle Bell Farmers Walks with High Knee: Improves balance, core, and posture Single Arm Dumbbell Lunges: Works the legs while improving balance Stability Ball Planks: Engages core muscles for sexy abs and stability Plate Weighed Side Steps: Improves hip mobility Side-to-side Medicine Ball Slams: Engages all the important muscles Assault Bike to end The actress added that she works with a trainer 'once or twice a week' for real strength training, and also love Pilates 'I've been working with Sarah for over six months now and all I can say is how impressive her progress has been!' the personal trainer captioned a short clip shared online. He added: 'She's become stronger, fitter and more mobile by just sticking to a program and working on the fundamentals.' Gellar has also said in the past she doesn't let a trip away from home get in the way of getting her workout in. 'When I'm travelling, I always pack my resistance bands,' she told Women's Health. 'There's so much you can do with them,' she gushed. 'I had my trainer make a hotel exercise program for me on days when I just can't make it out to the gym.' She added: 'My bands are key, but I'll often use hotel hand towels as sliders, too.' The actress makes her own food to take with her on set Gellar has previously stated she enjoys making her own food, and follows a balanced meal plan. The mom-of-two told Women's Health she always makes sure to look at food 'holistically.' 'It's not just about the food I ate today, but the food I ate this week or this month. Because as you get older, you realize it's about the whole picture,' she shared. Gellar is known for bringing her own food most places she goes, including to set and while traveling. 'I bring my own food to set a lot of the time so I can eat the food I want to eat when I need it, versus when they break for lunch,' she explained. 'We don't get the ability to be like, "Oh I'm hungry now, let me eat." The actress added that she's a 'dedicated meal planner.' 'Everyone at work makes fun of me because I'm always walking around with a lunch bag,' she laughed. 'Even on the airplane yesterday, everyone was laughing at me because I had to get extra ice for my lunchbox.' The Buffy actress added she 'always' makes sure to eat a balanced meal. 'You need your protein, your carbohydrates. You need to figure out what gives you energy and what works for you,' she continued. 'I bring my lunchbox on the airplane so I can eat when I need to.' Gellar is also a big fan of meal prepping, and says she uses the app My Fitness Pal to help her tick all of her nutrition goals, sharing a regular 'day on her plate' to the food-tracking apps blog. A typical breakfast is usually overnight oats with almond milk, chia seeds, blueberries, and almonds, and will male a salad, wrap, a Buddha bowl with brown rice, edamame, snap peas, chicken breast, and a soy-vinegar dressing for lunch.

Furious Stephen Colbert rips Paramount bosses live on air for settling $16m lawsuit with Trump

Late night talk show host Stephen Colbert went nuclear on his parent corporation, Paramount, after the company settled a bombshell lawsuit with Donald Trump for a whopping $16 million. Trump accused Paramount's network, CBS, which also airs The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, of falsely editing an interview with then-presidential candidate Kamala Harris before the election. Although the network didn't admit to any journalistic wrongdoing, the massive settlement will cover Trump's legal fees and his future presidential library. Paramount also agreed to release unedited transcripts of 60 Minutes interviews with presidential candidates. Colbert didn't hesitate to take shots at his parent corporation, confessing in his opening monologue on Wednesday's episode that he was 'offended' by the actions of his employer. The late night host called the lawsuit against CBS a 'nuisance,' and claimed that Paramount could've 'easily fought it' citing the company's own words calling the allegations 'completely without merit.' 'And keep in mind Paramount produced Transformers: Rise of the Beast. They know "completely without merit,"' Colbert joked, poking fun at the Paramount+ film that bombed at the box office. Colbert then cited a phony statement, joking that the network said, 'You may take our money, but you will never take our dignity. 'You may, however, purchase our dignity for the low, low, price of $16 million. We need the cash.' Colbert argued that the settlement was a 'big, fat, bribe,' in light of the company's merger with Skydance, which will need approval from the Trump administration. The late night host then cited an article from Puck, that claimed the merger could 'put pressure' on him to ease up on Trump criticisms. Colbert brushed off the gossip, joking that his new mustache will make it impossible for the new executives to find and put pressure on him. Daily Mail reached out to Paramount for comment in response to Colbert's claims. CBS has undergone executive changes as an $8 billion merger with David Ellison's Skydance remains on the table. David's father, Larry Ellison, is a multi-billionaire and Trump supporter. He joined the president at the White House in January for the unveiling of a project called Stargate and is providing the $8 billion for the CBS deal, according to the New York Times. The merger agreement was announced last July, but has stalled. A 90-day extension was issued a few weeks ago to give the parties more time to come to an agreement. Paramount heiress Shari Redstone has reportedly been pushing for the deal and was in favor of settling the lawsuit. Colbert isn't the only employee at Paramount upset with the recent business dealings. CBS News CEO Wendy McMahon announced her resignation in May, writing in a memo, 'It's become clear that the company and I do not agree on the path forward.' 'It's time for me to move on and for this organization to move forward with new leadership.' Former 60 Minutes boss Bill Owens also resigned after he opposed the settlement with the president. Owens resigned in April amid the turmoil after serving as the program's executive producer since 2019. 'Over the past months, it has become clear that I would not be allowed to run the show as I have always run it,' he wrote at the time. Under Owens' leadership, 60 Minutes interviewed Harris which prompted the lawsuit from Trump. In the interview, Harris was asked about the war in Gaza and her response was edited down. The network defended the decision at the time, arguing that it was edited to fit the program's time constraint. After the lawsuit was settled, Trump's legal team issued a statement that read, 'With this record settlement, President Donald J. Trump delivers another win for the American people as he, once again, holds the Fake News media accountable for their wrongdoing and deceit.' 'CBS and Paramount Global realized the strength of this historic case and had no choice but to settle. 'President Trump will always ensure that no one gets away with lying to the American People as he continues on his singular mission to Make America Great Again.' The settlement marks another win for Trump's legal crusade against the media. ABC News agreed to a settlement of $15 million in December after the president accused anchor George Stephanopoulos of making false claims about him on air.
