Did Patriots tease major uniform change for 2025 season?
Are the New England Patriots teasing a uniform change for the 2025 season?
Fans are asking the question following footage of players wearing grey game pants instead of the navy bottoms for their pictures at Wednesday's media day.
The Patriots wore the grey pants throughout the Tom Brady era. That look has become synonymous with the previous success of the franchise that won six Super Bowls in Brady's near 20-year run. You can trace the origin of the look as far back as 1993, when the Flying Elvis era began.
The Patriots moved to the navy bottoms to kick-start the post-Brady era in 2020. However, one has to wonder if they are considering a more permanent comeback for the grey pants.
A change in uniform isn't going to magically make the Patriots a better football team, but there's hope they can draw on history and tradition to aid in their confidence in 2025. Perhaps that would be enough to help them get back to their winning ways.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Marlena Collapses in Court

Days of Our Lives Recap: Marlena Collapses in Court originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: Marlena and John's Penthouse: Brady tells Marlena and Belle about the quick labor and adoption in Chicago. Marlena asks about Tate and tells them about him rescuing Holly and Arianna Grace followed by the quick adoption. Brady thinks Sophia was right but feels for Tate. Just then, Rachel emerges from the bedroom and she and Brady head over to the DiMera mansion. Belle and Marlena worry about Rachel testifying at Johnny's trial. EJ arrives for Marlena to hypnotize him. He thanks her for the assistance, but she says she isn't doing it for him. EJ agrees they have the same goal of helping Johnny. If it doesn't work, Belle and EJ will fight it out in court. Marlena returns to start hypnosis and catches EJ and Belle kissing. Marlena dismisses her daughter and the two get started. EJ remembers talking to someone and asks why that person gave him something, but he can't see their face. He gets agitated and Marlena brings him out of the hypnotic state. When he's awake, he says he can't remember who he saw and worries it's because it was Johnny. Marlena thinks his mind is still protecting him and says she's willing to continue their sessions. Brady Pub: Abe finishes a call with Theo before sitting down with Paulina. She's overwhelmed by being called to the stand at Johnny's trial. He notes she now believes in Johnny's innocence, which makes her even more nervous about possibly sending him to prison. She also worries about Chanel as a suspect in the same crime. They talk about the video on the memory card and Abe recalls Chanel saying she never said what was on the video (could it be an AI alteration?). Paulina wants to change the topic and asks about Theo. Abe says he's not doing well. Paulina asks what's wrong with Theo and Abe says he and Claire Bear broke up. Paulina thought they were in it for the long haul as did Abe (Could we please see Theo and Claire Bear soon?). Paulina assures her beloved his son will find love. Paulina asks Abe what Johnny's chances are. Abe says the evidence is circumstantial but it's still a crap shoot. The only thing they can be assured of is EJ fighting is hardest to exonerate his son. DiMera Mansion: Gwen arrives with her bags and is annoyed no one is there to help her. Just then, Brady and Rachel walk in. Rachel wonders what Gwen is doing there and she says she is moving in. Rachel heads upstairs leaving Gwen to ask why Rachel is staying with Brady. He explains she's staying with him during the course of the trial. Rachel returns and Gwen exits to the Salem Inn. For some reason, Rachel is dying to get out of the house as soon as possible. Brady asks Rachel what is wrong, and she says she is looking at where Johnny was standing with the gun. He thinks she is very brave for telling her story to Aunt Belle. She worries about having to take the stand as she doesn't want to send Johnny to prison. Chanel and Johnny's Place: Chanel helps Johnny get ready for his day in court. She asks how he is feeling, and he tears up saying he's scared. They review the evidence that will be used against him, but Chanel says all of Salem wanted to plug his father. Johnny worries he's going to be convicted despite there not being proof. Chanel thinks Johnny will be acquitted but knows Belle will come after her next because of the video from the memory card. Horton Square: Belle takes a call from Claire Bear who is upset about breaking up with Theo. She runs into Paulina and Abe and they discuss a bit about the kids' breakup. Courtroom: Belle sits at her table. She calls EJ not sure where he is and wonders if something happened during hypnosis. Days of Our Lives Recap: Gabi and Toni Make a Deal About The Control of DiMera Enterprises Endings EJ arrives in court and updates Belle on the hypnosis. While he was under, he remembered asking someone to hand him the gun. Marlena thinks it's possible his mind is still protecting him from something traumatic. Outside the courtroom, Marlena hugs Johnny and promises to provide her love and support. EJ pops his head out and says it's time for Johnny to enter. The judge arrives and calls the court to order and brings the jury in. Marlena and Abe walk in. As they try to take a seat, Marlena passes out into Abe's arms. Brady and Rachel arrive back at Grandma Marlena's and she is depressed to learn her grandmother isn't around. Rachel is thrilled to learn she and her dad are headed to a movie and runs to her room to put her stuff away. Just then, Belle calls and says their mother collapsed in court. Gwen packs up all her things and remembers putting the necklace in the safe. When she opens it up, the necklace is gone. Belle crouches next to her mother and begs her to wake up. Red Sox return home and fall short against Dodgers

The Red Sox hung in most of the night against the defending World Series champions. But ultimately it was another loss to another club considered one of baseball's best. Hernández's blast turned a one-run deficit — doable against an injury-ravaged Los Angeles bullpen — into a three-run hole that proved insurmountable. And it drew audible cheers, Dodgers fans making up a significant portion of the sellout crowd of 36,369. Advertisement With two games to go in this post-All-Star-break 'gauntlet,' as chief baseball officer Craig Breslow described it, against high-end National League clubs, the Red Sox are 2-5. They have held a lead at the end of just 10 innings out of 66 played. Get Starting Point A guide through the most important stories of the morning, delivered Monday through Friday. Enter Email Sign Up The Sox managed to hold Shohei Ohtani, whom manager Alex Cora before the game dubbed 'the best athlete in the universe,' to an unremarkable 1-for-4 line with a single, a walk, and two strikeouts. With two on and two out in the bottom of the ninth, Rob Refsnyder represented the would-be tying run. But he grounded out against Ben Casparius, a Connecticut native and UConn alumnus who recorded his first career save. Advertisement Red Sox righthander Brayan Bello (5⅓ innings, three runs) and Dodgers righthander Emmet Sheehan (five innings, two runs) took turns pitching OK. Related : Bello's outing was the first time since May 28 that he failed to complete six innings in a start. He had gone eight in a row meeting that minimum. On the season, he owns a 3.32 ERA. 'It feels like the bad one is six innings, three runs,' Cora said before the game. 'That's the mark of a good pitcher.' Also present throughout his strong run: Wong. Friday marked Bello's 10th consecutive start with the backup as his batterymate. 'I just like it,' Cora said, noting that they work well together and cracking a smile to add: 'One day Carlos [Narváez] was very emotional with Bello. I was like, we need to split up the Latino guys.' Related : For Sheehan, it was a homecoming of sorts. The Darien, Conn., native played at Boston College. The Dodgers drafted him in the eighth round in 2021, and this was his first time pitching at Fenway Park as a major leaguer. Los Angeles struck first, scoring a run in the second frame when Andy Pages (double) came in on Tommy Edman's two-out single looped to left field. Bello grinded through a 40-pitch third inning but managed to limit the damage to two more runs. A couple of soft singles — plus a hard one from Will Smith — loaded the bases with one out. Bello walked Hernández to force in a run. Pages' sacrifice fly brought in another. Related : The Dodgers bailed out Bello with a double steal attempt. Hernández reached second, but shortstop Trevor Story threw out Freddie Freeman at the plate. Advertisement The Sox battled back with two runs in the bottom of the third, but it could have been more. Connor Wong opened the rally with a double off the Green Monster — his first extra-base hit of the season. Duran singled, then scored on Alex Bregman's Monster-scraping double. Sheehan rebounded to retire the next nine Sox to finish his outing. Tim Healey can be reached at

Patriots insider drops bold Stefon Diggs injury prediction ahead of training camp

The post Patriots insider drops bold Stefon Diggs injury prediction ahead of training camp appeared first on ClutchPoints. The New England Patriots received a major boost ahead of training camp. Veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs is not appearing on the team's physically unable to perform (PUP) list, a strong signal that he may be ahead of schedule in his recovery from a torn ACL injury suffered last October. Diggs, who joined the Patriots this offseason on a three-year, $63.5 million deal, tore his ACL midway through the 2024 season while playing for the Houston Texans. Despite the significant injury, Diggs looked impressively quick during voluntary workouts earlier this summer. So much so that he often appeared as one of the most explosive receivers on the field. The Patriots' official training camp injury report confirmed that Diggs avoided both the PUP and non-football injury (NFI) lists. That suggests he'll be ready to participate in camp from Day 1. Sure, this doesn't guarantee he'll be active for Week 1. However, it's an undeniably positive development given that full ACL recovery typically ranges from 9–12 months, and Diggs is just over eight months into his rehab. By contrast, other notable receivers like San Francisco's Brandon Aiyuk are expected to miss significant time. So the fact that Diggs is already trending toward on-field action puts New England in an enviable position. Stefon Diggs is on track for a strong season with the Patriots Before his injury, Diggs was on pace for another strong year. He recorded 47 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns in just eight games. He's produced six straight 1,000-yard seasons and brings over 10,000 career receiving yards to a Patriots offense that lacked firepower in 2024. Now set to work alongside second-year quarterback Drake Maye and under the leadership of new head coach Mike Vrabel, Diggs' presence gives New England a much-needed weapon. His return could be the key to jumpstarting an offense that was stuck in neutral. If early signs hold, Diggs could be full-go for the team's season opener. If he can play, it will be a welcome development for a Patriots team eager to turn the page.
