Michigan State football releases ticket information for Ford Field showdown with Maryland
Michigan State football will be returning to Ford Field for the 2025 season finale against Maryland. This will be the Spartans third time playing inside of Ford Field, and will be a similar setup to the Spartans season finale in 2023 against Penn State.
A game on Thanksgiving weekend at Ford Field is a unique opportunity for the fanbase, allowing the metro Detroit portion of the fan base to have a local opportunity to catch a game, all while avoiding the potential for a poorly attended game at Spartan Stadium in gross weather.

While the Nov. 29 game is a long ways away, fans are learning what the ticket information for the game is going to be, and how they can obtain tickets for the Spartans and Terrapins showdown.
Per the Michigan State athletics press release: "From June 2-23, a presale to buy up to eight tickets will be available to Spartan Fund members and football season ticket holders in Spartan Fund donor priority order. Tickets will begin at $49. Presale purchases will require a one-time use promo code provided by the Spartan Ticket Office via email that will be sent on the donor level on-sale date."
General admission tickets will begin being sold on June 24.

He is slightly undersized for the NBA, though, which ultimately hurt his professional stock in the NBA. Akins worked out for a few teams during the pre-draft process, including the Utah Jazz and Milwaukee Bucks, so we should keep our eyes out for either of those teams signing him for summer league play. I anticipate he will be getting a chance to show what he has at the next level during summer league, and we should hopefully hear of a signing in the next week. Former Spartan center signs on to play with Oklahoma City Thunder in NBA Summer League
Mady Sissoko was a mainstay in Michigan State's basketball program since he arrived on campus in 2020. The Mali native spent four years in the MSU program before transferring to Cal for his fifth season. While his tenure at Michigan State did not always go great, and some things were left to be desired, Sissoko has always been a fan favorite within Spartan nation. Even after he went to Cal, Spartan fans made sure to support their former center. Now, after the conclusion of the 2025 NBA Draft, players are signing on with NBA teams as undrafted free agents to participate in the NBA Summer League. Sissoko found his home for the summer as he tries to latch on to an NBA franchise. According to Jon Chepkevich of Draft Express, Sissoko has signed on to join the Oklahoma City Thunder for summer league, where he will look to play his way into a professional contract. Sissoko is a 6-foot-9, 250 pound center that boosts a 7-foot-3 wingspan and 9-foot-2 standing reach. In one season at Cal he averaged 8.3 points and 8.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks, and in four seasons at MSU, he combined for 2.8 points and 3.7 rebounds. The Orlando Magic had one first round pick and No. 25 in the 2025 NBA Draft, and they used that pick to select Jase Richardson from Michigan State. The pick is significant not only because of his talent, but because his father Jason played for the Magic during his NBA career. The Magic had actually targeted Jase Richardson with the No. 16 pick in the NBA Draft before trading it away, as per Cody Taylor of Rookie Wire. Advertisement 'We actually brought Jase in to look at with the 16th pick. Throughout the process, you never know how these drafts are going to go,' Magic executive Jeff Weltman said after the draft. 'We were wondering if he could get into our range, and here we are. This is how the draft works, it's all a matter of what teams need at what position, what they're looking for. Jase for us, fits a lot of needs.' The Magic opted to trade the No. 16 pick in the draft to the Memphis Grizzlies in a deal that brought Desmond Bane to Orlando. The Magic sent Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony and four unprotected first round picks to the Grizzlies in the trade. With Richardson, the Magic are getting a talented scoring guard, albeit a little undersized, who has a knack for creating his own shot. He appeared in 36 games, including 15 starts, at a little over 25 minutes per game in his lone season at Michigan State. He averaged 12.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists with splits of 49.3 percent shooting from the field, 41.2 percent shooting from the three-point line and 83.6 percent shooting from the free-throw line. Richardson's father Jason played two seasons for the Magic from 2010-2012. He was originally acquired by the team in a trade with the Phoenix Suns ahead of the 2009-2010 season. Despite signing a four-year contract extension with the Suns in 2011, the team opted to trade Jason to the Philadelphia 76ers the following offseason. Advertisement Following the Bane acquisition, some feel the Magic took a leap towards becoming a contender. As a team on the upswing, Richardson landed in a solid spot.
