TED LASSO Season 4 First Look Photo Featuring Returning Cast and Plot Details — GeekTyrant

Ted Lasso is back, and we have a first look photo from the set of season 4 to get us pumped! Production has kicked off in Kansas City, with additional filming due to take place in London. It was previously reported that Jason Sudeikis would be returning as Ted Lasso for Season 4. Now, it is confirmed that original cast members Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift will all be back as well. In addition, new cast members for the series include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely. Exact character details for the newcomers are being kept under wraps, but it is known that Feely will take over the role of Henry Lasso, Ted's son. The official logline for Season 4 states, 'Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.' Jack Burditt has boarded Season 4 as executive producer under his new overall deal with Apple TV+. Sudeikis will executive produce in addition to starring. Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee and Bill Wrubel also executive produce. Goldstein is attached to write and executive produce along with Leanne Bowen. Bill Lawrence executive produces via his Doozer Productions alongside Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. Sara Walker and Phoebe Walsh are writers and co-executive producers on the new season, with Sasha Garron co-producing. Julia Lindon is a writer and Dylan Marron is story editor. Warner Bros. Television, where Doozer is under an overall deal, produces with Universal Television. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Kelly and Hunt, and is based on the preexisting format and characters from NBC Sports. I am so excited for Ted Lasso to return! That show is just the shot of optimism we could all use right now. via: Variety

NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin has shared a photo of himself on X, mimicking Astronomer CEO Andy Byron by hugging the Monster Mile trophy after his Cup Series win at Dover. Hamlin got in on the trending moment sweeping social media after Byron was reportedly spotted hugging the head of human resources, Kristin Cabot, on the KissCam during Coldplay's concert. The pair did not want their alleged affair to be made public. However, their reaction to being featured on the KissCam caused a great stir, making headlines worldwide. The Cup victory was Hamlin's 58th so far, which arrived after an interesting battle in the last leg of the race with Chase Briscoe, who finished second. The race was red-flagged for an hour due to heavy rain, following which, Briscoe added significant pressure on Hamlin during the overtime restarts. However, he finished behind Hamlin by a margin of 0.310s. He said: "Well, it's twofold. There's two things. One is obviously my driving. I've talked about that, changing my style to more of a Martin Truex and Jimmie Johnson style. "I just studied some of the greats here. I was very fortunate to have Martin Truex as a teammate. Jimmie Johnson, watching him win (11) times here. You learn from the greats and you change your game to match it, you have success like this. "The other is focusing on what I need to tell the team to make the car better, identifying where I'm losing time, then focusing on what I need to tell them how I can go faster in that section of the racetrack. Just try not to get caught up too much in... "NASCAR is an emotional game where you really kind of get caught up in shit that doesn't matter. So I just try to look at it from a very straightforward point of view, numbers point of view. "Find out where I'm bad, analyse what I'm doing, analyse the best, then figure out how I can go faster like them, then give that information to the team. "It typically takes me a little bit longer to give the team the feedback that they're needing because I like to analyse it, make sure it's right, before I tell them. But it's just changing my mentality on that process and how I'm doing it." Hamlin became the 19th Cup Series driver to win three times at Dover after his victory on Sunday.

CM Punk Reveals 'Secret' WWE Rule

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. CM Punk has pulled back the curtain on the production of live WWE television, revealing what he calls one of the "secret rules" of professional wrestling. The rule explains how and when top superstars are allowed to go over their allotted time for a promo or match. In a new interview with Josh Lawless of SportBible, conducted to promote the upcoming Netflix docuseries WWE Unreal, Punk gave a fascinating insight into the art of timing a live show. He explained that while WWE shows are meticulously timed, there is one major exception to the rule. The "Secret Rule" Of Going Long Punk stated that the unwritten rule is that a performer can go over their allotted time, but only if the segment is connecting with the audience on a high level. He contrasted this with a segment that is failing to get a reaction. "It's one of the secret rules. As long as it's really, really good, you can get away with it," CM Punk explained. "Going 20 minutes over and you suck, that's no good." The Art Of Timing A Live Show Live WWE broadcasts like Raw and SmackDown are complex productions that are timed out to the second. Producers and agents work with a "rundown sheet" that allocates a specific amount of time for each match, interview, and backstage segment to ensure the show hits its commercial breaks and ends on time. Going over your allotted time can have a domino effect, forcing other segments on the show to be shortened or cut entirely. More This is why only the most trusted and successful superstars are given the leeway to improvise and extend their segments. Punk, who delivered the legendary, time-bending "Pipe Bomb" promo in 2011, is one of the few who has earned that trust. More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation A Locker Room Leader's Mentality Punk also revealed that he often prefers to go shorter than his allotted time to help his fellow performers. He explained that a good locker room works together to ensure the best possible show. "I would rather go short than long," he said. "If Rhea [Ripley] is in the next segment, I can nudge here and be like, 'Hey, you guys need two minutes? I can give you two minutes'. That's the way a lot of the talent work together." He cited recent, lengthy segments involving The Bloodline and The Rock as examples of when it is right to go long. "When it's really good and the crowd's going absolutely banana for it – you can't really rush through it," he stated. He also mentioned the passionate overseas crowds, whose singing and chanting are special moments that the company has learned not to interrupt.
