Jeff Bezos & Lauren Sánchez Borrowed This Reception Detail From Kate Middleton's Wedding

Yahooa day ago
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez already have a week of marriage under their belt, but people are still discussing the details of their three-day Venice, Italy extravaganza. It seems that they borrowed a particular detail from Kate Middleton's 2011 wedding to Prince William.
The Prince and Princess of Wales' royal wedding over 14 years ago is still considered a timeless classic — from Kate's elegant dress from designer Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen to the couple's romantic balcony kiss. It's understandable why celebrities might try to borrow elements from the royals' big day, but Bezos and Sánchez went in a different direction and took a detail from Kate and William's reception.

Just like the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Amazon founder and his bride had British singer Ellie Goulding play at their reception on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, per People. Kate and William's first dance was to Goulding's cover of Elton John's hit single, 'Your Song,' and the 38-year-old singer made sure to sing it for Bezos and Sánchez too. The only difference is that the billionaire couple had Andrea Bocelli's son, Matteo Bocelli, sing his version of Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love' for their first dance.
Goulding hasn't spoken publicly about the June 27 reception, but she did share her thoughts with the Daily Mail in 2012 about the royal wedding.
'Performing the first dance of the night, 'Your Song' was nerve-wracking,' she admitted. 'But William and Kate were very appreciative. They are an awesome couple and told me how much they enjoyed it. My band and I stayed at the reception all night, and it's something I'll treasure forever.'
Still, Goulding revealed to Vogue Australia in 2016 that her nerves got the best of her.
'I mean, talking about scary… I was so nervous that my hands were shaking like this [she shakes her hands]. That was one of my memories, I remember looking down and just seeing this,' she recalled. 'Chris, my pianist, I looked over at him and he looks at me like, 'Literally, you have just sh—ed yourself. I know it in your face that you've just literally pooed yourself.''
Yet years later, it was still a true pinch-me moment for Goulding.
'I thought I was a decoy for someone else,' Goulding joked. 'I thought it could happen. Because at the time, Gaga was everywhere and rightly so, she was killing it. And Beyoncé and Jay-Z and then… me.'

Panel Of 2024 Labour Voters Name The 1 Turning Point They Began To Like Farage

A panel of 2024 Labour voters said they started to like Reform UK after watching its leader Nigel Farage on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!. Back in late 2023 before he was elected to parliament, Farage caused a huge stir by appearing in the hit reality TV show. Even the programme's hosts Ant and Dec urged producers to take a break from having politicians as contestants. But, Farage still won over voters and ended up in third place. More than 18 months later, a panel of voters who backed Labour last July told pollsters that his appearance on the show marked the moment they started warming up to the MP for Clacton. In footage aired by the BBC's Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, one voter told pollsters More in Common: 'I really like Reform. 'I didn't [like him], but it was I'm A Celeb... which turned my head for Nigel. 'I really saw a different side to him and I think he's very misunderstood.' 'He's more relatable to people, to the average person,' another woman said. 'Whereas some politicians at the present seem far removed, they're so in another world, because they are public school educated, they can't relate to the average person.' However, a different person did jump in at this point, saying: 'Nigel Farage was publicly educated, while Keir Starmer is working class but he does present that. 'So Nigel Farage puts on this image of being one of the people, but actually he went to private school.' Even so, some voters suggested they would fire Starmer for his 'disappointing' performance over the last year unless he starts to 'try harder'. Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid also told the BBC that this conversation demonstrated how voters 'need to feel a material difference in their lives'. She noted that they are still struggling with food inflation and cost of living, so the 'government are getting this wrong'. 'Perhaps Sir Keir Starmer needs to go on I'm A Celebrity... or Strictly, in order for voters to know who he is,' Reid suggested. 'The words that kept coming out of their mouths were: I don't know who he is.' "I'm A Celebrity turned my head for Nigel [Farage]"Some focus group members think Reform UK's leader is different from "public school-educated" politicians, but another points out Nigel Farage was privately educated and Keir Starmer was not#BBCLauraKhttps:// — BBC Politics (@BBCPolitics) July 6, 2025 The focus group's findings were published to mark the anniversary of Labour's landslide victory in the general election as political pundits look at how Starmer has fallen down in the polls ever since. Sky News had its own devastating way of portraying Labour's first year in office with some brutal word clouds, again from More in Common. The pollsters asked the public: 'In a word or two, what would you say has been Labour's biggest achievement in government?' The largest word by a healthy margin was 'nothing', although – in much smaller fonts – NHS, welfare, winter, election and Ukraine were all visible too. JoJo Siwa Reveals How She Was Guided After Karma

JoJo Siwa was really honest about how she didn't have full creative control of her journey post-"Karma." The self-proclaimed "CEO of Gay Pop" seems to always be wedged in the middle of a headline, surrounded by speculation and controversy. Most recently, it's been surrounding her sexuality and her relationship with a cisgender man — because, heaven forbid, someone's sexuality isn't easy for other people to understand. We spent so much time unnecessarily crawling around in JoJo's bedroom looking for gotcha clues that we overlooked a very compelling interview on the We Need to Talk podcast in April, where she broke down what was going on during that debut of her adult persona. "So the last year of my life is the only time when it was different. The last year from 'Karma' to about three months ago, really, that's the only time it's been different," JoJo told podcast host Paul C. Brunson. "I've, you know, listened to outside opinions and gone certain ways and done certain things that maybe I wouldn't have necessarily done, choices I wouldn't have necessarily made. But I did, and I trusted because I wanted to do essentially what my boss said." If you remember, right after "Karma" dropped, JoJo had a string of performances that had some very questionable moments, and now it's revealed that it wasn't always her decision to make those moves. "I had a bit of a breakdown and I cried, and I said, 'Why am i pretending that I'm drinking alcohol and being crazy? I'm a good girl.' I'm saying I'm drinking Fireball on stage, but it's apple juice." JoJo admitted that she was actually coached in that direction after "Karma" went viral. "It's been guided, and it's been, honestly, I'll be honest. 'Karma' was me," she said. "I wanted to do that, I wanted to do that song, I wanted to do that dance, I wanted to do that makeup, I like that. Everything after the day 'Karma' was released was not me." Misguidance be damned, JoJo's not looking back on those moments with regret because they've led to some "beautiful" milestones in life today. "That's very tough, because I look back at my last year of my life, and I think, whoa, it could be so different. I could be in a way different place now," she continued. "But, if I was in a way different place now, I wouldn't be on [Celebrity] Big Brother. I wouldn't have met my partner, you know what I mean? There's so many beautiful things in my life that they'd be so different if I wouldn't have made changes. So, I'm happy I did." In the time she was on Big Brother, with society being so wrapped up trying to erase the reality of queerness or fluidity, JoJo reclaimed her journey. "I realized that I was in control for the first time again, but I was still acting as if I wasn't. It was interesting. I was kind of being guided everywhere and I just needed to stop, and I just needed to have a beat." "Then this beautiful song fell into my lap that is a song saying exactly how I feel right now. As soon as I get out of the Big Brother house, I literally have a day and then I go into rehearsals for the music video for that song, and it was very important to me that that was the message that I shared because it's for the first time, again, exactly how I feel," JoJo added, referring to her new song "Bulletproof." "I'm finally with a song not singing about — I'm happy, I'm positive, I'm on top of the world. I feel great. It's not a song about that. It's a song about the opposite," she said. You know what? Hell yeah. People can learn something from JoJo if they can take a beat and stop trying to "guide" her into a box. Watch her full interview on the We Need to Talk podcast here:

Mahershala Ali Has A Theory About What Exactly Happened During Jurassic World: Rebirth's Ending

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Major spoilers for Jurassic World Rebirth lie ahead, so read on at your own discretion. Jurassic World Rebirth – the latest installment in the Jurassic Universe – is finally here, and the film introduces audiences to a cast of new characters. As you'd expect, these new protagonists find themselves in some precarious situations involving dinosaurs. There's actually one situation at the end of the film that seemingly marks the demise of one character. However, in a wild twist of fate, that development gets wrapped up on a positive note. Mahershala Ali has since spoken to CinemaBlend about what he thinks happened. Near the very end of Rebirth, mercenaries Zora Bennett and Duncan Kincaid along with Dr. Henry Loomis and the Delgado family make one final effort to escape the island of Ile Saint-Hubert. They're able to find a boat but are intercepted by the monstrous D. Rex, which Duncan lures away with a flare. Duncan's actions eventually bring him face to face with the massive creature, which looks like it's about to attack him. However, as Zora and co. prepare to sail away, they see a flare and meet up with Duncan, who swims towards them. Honestly, I don't know about anyone else, but I definitely thought Duncan was done for before that reveal. That upbeat ending came up while CinemaBlend's Hannah Saulic spoke to Mahershala Ali and his cast members, Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey. While Bailey and Johansson joked about how Ali's character survived his encounter with the D. Rex, the Oscar winner himself tried to provide a more practical theory: I think he went… I think he distracted… The flare went out, and I think he went underwater and kind of like, you know, swam away very quickly. More on Jurassic World Rebirth To 3D/4DX Or Not To 3D/4DX: Buy The Right Jurassic World Rebirth Ticket That could've been the case, and it does make a lot more sense than Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey's humorous assertion that the Duncan who swims back to the group is actually a 'clone.' Believe it or not, Mahershala Ali himself also thought Duncan died, as he revealed during the interview. Apparently, Ali didn't discuss the specifics of that with director Gareth Edwards either. I'm not sure if we'll ever receive a concrete answer there, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy to see that Duncan survived. Duncan Kincaid's characterization does represent one of the best elements of the original Jurassic Park, which writer David Koepp compared to Rebirth in some respects. As much as the movie delivers on dinosaurs and spectacle, it also puts focus on human connections. Duncan is a man who's lost a child, and it's for that reason he's willing to put himself in harm's way to protect the group, especially the Delgado kids. Peacock TV: from $7.99 a month/$79.99 a yearThe Jurassic Park saga is available on Peacock, and fans who want to check them out should consider grabbing a membership. It costs as little as $7.99 per month. Customers can also pay more for Peacock Premium and take in ad-free streams along with the option to download titles for viewing at a later Deal At this point, it's hard to say if Mahershala Ali will reprise his role in another installment of the Steven Spielberg-produced. However, at the very least, the creative team has the option to do so, given his survival and, given the ending of Rebirth, the future of the Jurassic franchise is wide open. Jurassic World Rebirth is now playing in theaters amid the 2025 movie schedule, so check your local listings. Also, the previous six films in the series are currently available to stream with a Peacock subscription.
