One Viking is represented on special team built by Bleacher Report
When it comes to players being underappreciated in the NFL, it happens all the time.
That is what made the exercise done by Bleacher Report this week so fun to look at. They published an All-Underrated team heading into training camp. Gary Davenport of the site created the team, and within it, he included one notable Minnesota Vikings player, Jordan Addison.
The third-year wide receiver was mentioned in the team's wide receiver group and is arguably the best in the group.
Davenport writes, "If Jordan Addison played somewhere other than Minnesota, he might already have a higher profile than he does. After all, Justin Jefferson casts a long shadow. However, Addison has been a solid young receiver in his own right. Despite averaging only 103.5 targets in his first two NFL seasons, the 5'11", 175-pounder posted at least 875 receiving yards in both of those campaigns. He has also been an absolute force in the red zone, reeling in 19 touchdowns to date."
Jordan Addison could easily be a number one receiver for many other teams. The Bengals know about this situation, as they have Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. It helps both men avoid double coverage, which in turn helps their quarterback find them more easily.
Addison again enters his junior season in the NFL with high expectations.
