First to face her scheming and manipulative behaviour is Moira Dingle.
Celia turns up at her farmhouse asking to rent two fields. But despite being desperate for cash, Moira turns her down – much to the fury of Celia.
But in an exclusive interview today, Jaye admits her character will also have a few run ins with Kim Tate, played by Claire King, in the months to come.
And when it comes to who is the biggest soap super bitch, Jaye reveals Celia will be an even icier character.
She told The Sun: 'It's Moira who feels Celia's wrath to start with but let's put it this way Kim and Celia will be having the odd chat! Kim will have a competitor.
'Here we have got two women who don't apologise for taking up space. Celia won't diminish herself to make people feel comfortable and she will never apologise for anything.
She is simply out to get exactly she wants and everyone is going to have to watch out!'
Explaining why her character will be so bitchy; Jaye added: 'Kim does have some humanity but Celia lacks it completely.
'There are occasions when Kim recognises her behaviour is out of order whereas Celia never does that. She doesn't realise she is being mean, it's more a case of 'give me what I want'.'
She predicts that if Kim and Celia do unite, then it will be a powerful duo.
Emmerdale recreates scene from 27 years ago in Kim Tate Christmas bombshell
'It's going to be a strong combination with Kim and Celia,' hinted the actress.
'Most women my age would always stand aside – Celia won't be!'
Jaye has starred in a string of big BBC dramas, including Silent Witness, Doctors and Casualty, over the years. She also played DI Sally Johnson in The Bill.
But it's her new Emmerdale role as the soap super bitch that really excites her. Readily admitting she is a huge fan of actress Claire King; she reveals the two actresses are both feeling excited that they will get to work together in the months to come.
'Claire has been on holiday,' she explained.
'So, we haven't quite started the filming. But we have been messaging each other and we are both looking forward to our scenes together.
Kim Tate's biggest Emmerdale storylines
First appearing in 1989, Kim Tate (Claire King) is an iconic Emmerdale character. Here's a look at some of her biggest storylines over the years.
MARRIAGE TO FRANK TATE
Kim has been married three times in the soap, but her first, volatile pairing was with Frank Tate (Norman Bowler)
They were an on-screen partnership for almost a decade - including divorcing and remarrying.
However, Frank ultimately suffered a fatal heart attack, brought on by Kim's return to the village after being presumed dead.
During the marriage, Kim had affairs with Neil Kincaid (Brian Deacon) and Dave Glover (Ian Kelsey).
FAKING HER OWN DEATH
Kim disappeared from the village in February 1997. A few days later, Frank identified a woman found dead at the wheel of her car as Kim.
However, everyone was in for a shock after Kim revealed she was still alive - and the full extent of her plan.
While she'd fled to the Caribbean, Kim had paid a lookalike prostitute to drive her car around the village to fool people into thinking she was still there. It was, in fact, her body that Frank previously identified.
JAMES' KIDNAPPING
Kim's business partnership with Lord Alex Oakwell (Rupam Maxwell), resulted in the death of Linda Fowler (Tonicha Jeronimo), in a car crash.
As an act of revenge, Linda's mother Jan (Roberta Kerr) kidnapped Kim's son James.
DEPARTURE
After a decade of causing chaos, Kim left Emmerdale in 1999 as she fled in a helicopter with her son James and £190,000 of Chris Tate's money.
LATER MARRIAGES
Upon Kim's return in 2018, she was first revealed to be married to Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough).
However, he was later killed off in a whodunnit storyline.
She later pursued a relationship with her employee Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), marrying him in 2022.
'I am a fan of Claire's in a mild geeky way and she has been extraordinarily kind. I am so looking forward to our adventures together.
'I'm loving it so far filming my scenes and everyone has been so welcoming on set. Celia is one of the best parts I have ever had because she is so manipulative!'

But it won't just be Emmerdale's female residents who will have to watch out. Paddy Dingle will also get attacked by one of Celia's security dogs in the first few weeks, leaving him hospitalised.
'She won't say sorry though,' warned Jaye. 'It's never her fault!'
Emmerdale runs every weekday on ITV1 and STV1 at 7.30pm.

Pet owners warned as Emmerdale airs dog attack storyline

Fans of the ITV soap will see vet Paddy Kirk hospitalised after being injured by two pet pooches owned by a new arrival farmer Celia, played by Death in Paradise's Jaye Griffiths. The plot will follow Celia's response to the attack, which Emmerdale insiders say will show her 'true colours'. Paddy will be injured in a dog attack. (Image: ITV) One legal expert has heralded ITV's hit rural drama for shining a light on the important and growing issue of canine attacks. Lara O'Donnell, head of personal injury at CEL Solicitors, said: 'Incidents with violent dogs are on the rise and as much as we're a nation of pet lovers, owners need to realise the responsibility they have when they own an animal. 'A dog owner's fleeting moment of negligence can lead to life-changing injuries, both physical and mental, for victims. 'It's crucial that owners take proactive steps to train their pets and ensure they are secure. If a dog has displayed signs of violent behaviour, ensure its kept on a lead in public and maybe even muzzled.' There were 30,539 offences of a dog injuring a person or guide dog in 2023, up from 25,291 in 2022, according to police data. 'Not all dog attacks are reported to the police, so the actual number of incidents could be higher,' Ms O'Donnnell added. 'Attacks should be reported as soon as possible, so steps are taken to ensure the owner of the dog takes responsibility for their pet. 'Owners need to ensure they have adequate pet insurance, that includes third party liability. 'This means if a dog did cause harm to another person, the owner can afford to compensate the victim.' After a dog attack, victims may seek compensation for their injuries, especially if they have to take time off work. Recommended Reading: Who plays Paddy Dingle? Emmerdale will air tonight on ITV1 at the later time of 7.30pm.

The Chase fans fume 'what is going on' as Jenny Ryan sparks 'fix' row

More info The Chase fans fumed "what is going on" as Jenny Ryan sparked a "fix" row on Monday (June 30). During yesterday's rerun episode, the Vixen faced off against an all-new team comprising Nick from Liverpool, Laura from Bolton, Aiden from Falkirk, and Vivienne from Bracknell. Following the preliminary rounds, only Laura and Nick advanced to the final chase, clutching onto a modest jackpot of £3,000 after narrowly avoiding capture by Jenny. With a challenging beginning, the duo accumulated a respectable 14-point lead before Jenny tackled the concluding questions. It was during these final moments when host Bradley Walsh asked: "What colour indicates semi-skimmed milk on bottles?" reports the Express. (Image: ITV) Jenny confidently declared: "Red and silver," which Bradley immediately acknowledged as correct. However, the show's viewers were quick to voice their frustration on social platforms, insisting that the answer was incorrect, while suggesting that the game had been fixed. "Excuse me? Semi-skimmed is GREEN! Incorrect answer from #TheVixen given as correct? They were one correct answer away from winning!" one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another added: "Semi-skimmed milk carton tops are Green (or white), NOT RED, which is skimmed milk... What is going on here?" A third said: "Am I going mad? I'm sure the question was about the colour of tops on semi-skimmed milk. The Chaser said red and silver... it's green. Or did I mishear?" (Image: ITV) Jenny's answer wasn't entirely incorrect - red and silver tops are indeed used for semi-skimmed milk in glass bottles, which are less common than the plastic containers found in supermarkets. In UK supermarkets, semi-skimmed milk is typically identified by a green top, with red for skimmed and blue for full-fat. Despite the technicality, fans continued to voice their disapproval. One disgruntled viewer pointed out: "What's the point of asking a question when there's a degree of ambiguity towards the correct answer? That question should never have been allowed - it cost them the game." (Image: ITV) The episode had already caused a stir earlier when two contestants chose lower offers, slashing the potential prize fund by £6,000. Former police officer Nick shocked everyone when he decided to go for a mere £2,000 after accumulating £7,000 in the cash builder and being tempted by a £30,000 offer from the Vixen. He confessed: "I'm going to shock you," before choosing the lower sum, leaving even Bradley taken aback as he responded: "Yeah, that is shocking." Ultimately, Nick and Laura reached the final chase with just £3,000 in hand and narrowly missed out on victory. In a tense showdown with Jenny, they were caught just seconds from the finish line. Emmerdale star returns to ITV show months after vanishing

Fans were left in the dark when cleaner Lydia Dingle, played by English actress Karen Blick, failed to appear for her own birthday party after leaving the village without any notice. The character was last seen in March and even then only appeared for a single episode after 'silently exiting' the show in February. Now, the character has made her long-awaited return, according to The Sun newspaper. A post shared by Emmerdale (@emmerdale) In the Emmerdale episode, which aired this week, the character made her return and explained her absence. Walking into the cafe, she runs into Joe Tate, who makes a joke to her about dusting before she shuts down the ITV character. After reuniting with her old friend Kim Tate, Lydia tells her confidant that she has been away caring for her mother, who has apparently fallen ill. Lydia told her: 'Well, she's back to bossing me about and giving me the running commentary on every last twinge.' She added that she would not be back permanently and that she would be leaving again soon to continue her caring duties. "I'll be to-ing and fro-ing a bit, but she's definitely on the mend,' she said. Karen Blick is an English actress from Leeds in West Yorkshire, according to Emmerdale's official fan wiki. She took on the role of Lydia Dingle all the way back in 2016, but initially appeared in Emmerdale in 2006 as an unnamed nurse. Born in 1974, she has starred in a number of programmes besides Emmerdale over her long career. She appeared in a 2004 TV show called No Angels as well as a programme called Nomads.
