EastEnders actress and Love Island star confirm romance
Love Island star Michael Griffiths has officially confirmed his relationship with EastEnders actress Rukku Nahar after months of fans speculating the pair were together. The 33-year-old reality TV star, who rose to fame during the 2019 season of the ITV dating show, made things Instagram official with Rukku, 29, as they enjoyed a glamorous night out at the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois boxing match at Wembley Stadium. The couple shared a series of affectionate snaps from ringside, leaving little doubt about their blossoming romance. The duo first sparked dating speculation in October 2023 when they appeared together at the London premiere of Venom: The Last Dance. Since then, fans have kept a close eye on their social media accounts, but this marks the first time they've gone public with their relationship. In the pictures, the pair looked loved up and inseparable, with Michael planting a kiss on Rukku's cheek and cuddling up to her as they watched the heavyweight fight. Rukku Nahar is no stranger to the spotlight. The British actress is best known for portraying Habiba Ahmed in EastEnders between 2019 and 2020. Her character was introduced as the younger sister of Iqra Ahmed, and the duo made waves as the first Muslim sisters to own and operate a business in Albert Square. Habiba was known for her fiery personality and romantic entanglements, including a controversial relationship with the much older Adam Bateman. Rukku's departure from EastEnders in 2020 left fans disappointed, as her character left Walford abruptly following the breakdown of her relationship. Outside of Walford, Rukku has appeared in several popular UK television series, including Wolfblood, Doctors, and Flatmates, showing her versatility as an actress. Despite stepping away from EastEnders, Rukku has continued to build her career in both television and film. Most recently, she's been linked to new projects and has hinted at expanding into international roles on social media, with fans eager to see her next move. Michael, meanwhile, continues to be one of the most talked-about personalities from the Love Island franchise. His time on the show was filled with drama, particularly when he dumped fan-favourite Amber Gill in favour of Joanna Chimonides during the infamous Casa Amor twist. Viewers were outraged, but Amber ultimately went on to win the series with Greg O'Shea, and the nation's hearts. Amber's post Love Island career has flourished. In addition to winning the £50,000 cash prize, she secured major brand deals with Misspap and Littlewoods, and has spoken openly about her experiences in the public eye. More Trending She also made headlines for her relationship with Scottish footballer Jen Beattie, which lasted nearly a year before ending amicably in late 2023. With both Michael and Rukku now thriving in their respective careers and seemingly in love, it looks like this reality star and soap actress duo could be a new power couple to watch. As they continue to share glimpses of their romance with fans, many will be keeping a close eye on what's next for the pair, both on screen and off. The ‘best' restaurant in the US is officially coming to London
If a trip to New York isn't on the cards any time soon, but you've always wanted to eat at one of Manhattan's top restaurants, you're in luck. The 'best' restaurant in the city (and the entire country, for that matter) is going to be heading across the pond to pop up here very soon. Atomix, is a Korean restaurant by Chef Junghyun Park and Ellia Park, with two Michelin stars and a menu that combines experimental cooking with fine-dining flair. It's currently positioned at number 12 in the the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, which is the highest ranking of any American spot. For one day only, foodies in the UK will be able to try the food as Atomix teams up with KOL, a modern Mexican-British fusion restaurant in London's Marylebone. KOL, which has its own Michelin Star, is going to be hosting two seatings of an eight-course menu collaboration between Junghyun and Santiago Lastra on August 19. One seating will take place between midday and 4pm during lunch service, while the other is from 17:45 to midnight. Expect to see sweet shrimp and chilli oil on the menu, a langoustine taco, as well as KOL classics like the lamb koki mole. There will also be a bespoke drinks pairing, using Lost Explorer mezcals. Tickets will cost £250 per person and they'll be released via the KOL newsletter, with priority access given to subscribers from 4pm on July 27. Speaking about the event, KOL posted online: 'On Tuesday 19 August, we are honoured to welcome Chef Junghyun Park of New York's Atomix for a one-day-only collaboration. 'A pioneer in contemporary Korean cuisine, Atomix marries innovation with tradition, guided by principles of philosophy and design.' Online, Google reviews for Atomix are just as positive, with people saying the food is 'on another level', 'impeccable' and 'magnificent'. Chris Roberts gave five stars, saying: 'This was one of the best meals of my life. After eating at other highly rated Michelin star restaurants, I believe this is one of the best restaurants in the world and deserves a third star. 'What made this restaurant stand apart was how the chef was able to tie Korean culture to his dishes and create a meaningful experience for guests.' More Trending Chris went on to hail Chef Junghyun a 'culinary genius' who makes 'one-of-a-kind' dishes. And Oanh agreed, writing: 'We had an amazing meal at Atomix. The Asian-inspired flavours with a modern twist were on point and every dish was beautifully put together. The paired drinks and cocktails complemented the food perfectly.' View More » However, not everyone was a fan with some admitting they 'didn't understand the hype' and were 'undewhelmed' proving, as always, that taste is subjective and just because a restaurant is touted as 'the best' it won't always be for everyone. DJ dies ‘after being beaten by cops' at Ibiza party when police were ‘called ove
A popular Italian DJ who performed around the world died after allegedly being beaten by cops at a house party. Michele Noschese, known as DJ Godzi, was just 35 when he was 'assaulted' by cops at his home during a late-night party in Ibiza. The Italian DJ had been living in Ibiza for the last 10 years and was well-known on the island, performing frequently at music events in London, Paris, Barcelona, and New York. He died Saturday morning, and Spanish authorities are investigating his death, which was announced by numerous friends and online electronic music pages. Michele was reportedly holding a party at his home when neighbours called the Civil Guard over the loud noise. The DJ clashed with several officers and was allegedly beaten, according to several witnesses, before his body was taken to the morgue. The authorities are waiting for the post-mortem results to establish his exact cause of death. Michele's family has reportedly requested an independent forensic medical report, and Italian politicians are demanding answers. Fulvio Martusciello, MEP for the Forza Italia political party, said: 'We want to know the truth about Michele Noschese's death. 'We want to understand what happened and what the Civil Guard's responsibility is. The sudden death of a young, successful and well-liked Neapolitan, an internationally renowned DJ, cannot remain in the shadows.' Techno-house music label Moon Child shared photos of Michele and wrote: 'We are truly saddened by this news. Michele had a kind heart and was part of the Mood family after releasing his track 'Love This Game' on Mood Edits.' Michele previously said his passion for music began when he was just 15, and he went to live in London before later moving to Ibiza. 'I tell any young DJ to work hard from morning to night in front of the PC to compose electronic music,' he said. His death came on the heels of other recent deaths in Ibiza. More Trending Brit Gary Kelly, 19, died in a fall from the third floor of Ibiza Rocks Hotel in San Antonio in the early hours of Monday morning, according to police. Ibiza Rocks in Spain has suspended its events after a teenager became the third British tourist to die there this year. Gary's death came after Evan Thomson, 26, from Aberdeen, fell and died at the same three-star hotel at a belated birthday celebration on July 7. And on April 30, a 33-year-old British woman collapsed and died in her room there. Get in touch with our news team by emailing us at webnews@ For more stories like this, check our news page.
