Why Pamela Anderson Was Miley Cyrus's Role Model Growing Up
"Ever since I was little, it was only Pam when people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grow up, I would say you," the former Disney Channel star said while in conversation with The Last Showgirl actress. "And the whole thing. The tattoos, the hair, all of it. That's all I wanted to do, I wanted to be a showgirl!' I love watching you evolve because it's been inspiring me so much."
Much like how Anderson has had a style and career rebirth in recent years, Cyrus said that she could also relate to being in different stages of her life. 'I've had so many different pivots and evolutions and—one might say—detours within my path,' the pop star, who sings "Beautiful That Way" in Anderson's latest movie, said. 'But it always ends up coming back around to make the next stage of who we are. Something that's more potent, something that's more real.'
Anderson explained that she sometimes wishes she could erase all the bad things from her life. When the Baywatch actress told this to a friend, he suggested that she take all the negative experiences in her life with her and use it to live authentically. Cyrus could relate, especially as she's had a few faux pas of her own.
'Funnily enough when I look back, all the mistakes, anything I was unsure of or I didn't understand, I am so proud of every moment and now every stage of my life,' Cyrus reflected. 'I would not go back and change anything. Except a couple things I was wearing!'

File Photo by John Angelillo/UPI | License Photo July 15 (UPI) -- Miley Cyrus is opening up about why she isn't touring her recently released album, Something Beautiful. The singer and former Hannah Montana actress discussed her decision on Good Morning America Tuesday. "I do have the physical ability and I have the opportunities to tour," Cyrus said. "I wish I had the desire, but I don't. I also don't think that there is actually an infrastructure that supports artists." "It's really hard to maintain sobriety when you're on the road, which is a really important kind of pillar of stability in my life," she continued, adding that "it's really hard to keep mental wellness on tour." Something Beautiful arrived in May, two years after Cyrus' album Endless Summer Vacation, which arrived in 2023. Her accompanying musical film and visual album dropped June 12. Cyrus called the project "fabulous" and "super joyful." "I'm in ultimate kind of fulfillment with this project, the music itself, the film -- I'm just really proud of the outcome," she said.
