Rylan Clark says 'I actually got pretty worried' as he shares intimate confession
Rylan Clark has opened up about a personal "worry" following the end of his marriage, revealing how it's affected his approach to new relationships. The BBC Radio 2 presenter parted ways with his ex-husband, Dan Neal, in 2021.
This revelation comes after Rylan admitted to being unfaithful earlier in their relationship. Despite acknowledging that the split was "the right thing to happen," he admits to experiencing a "full-on breakdown" post-separation.
Now, the one-time X Factor contestant is dipping his toes back into the dating pool—yet he's noticed a significant shift in his feelings toward intimacy with other men.
On his podcast How to Be in Love, Rylan, 36, shared: "I have found that, since the breakdown of my marriage, if I've gone on any dates or started seeing people, when I've had sex with them, I lose interest pretty quickly."
He continued, expressing his concerns: "I actually got pretty worried about a year or two ago because I thought, hang on a minute, I don't remember this from BM—I call it, before marriage. I don't remember having sex with someone, or orgasming with someone, climaxing, and then after that thinking, 'Oh, I'm just not bothered now'."
Neuroscientist Dr Tara Swart weighed in on Rylan's situation, suggesting that the emotional trauma from his marriage could be influencing his current feelings post-intimacy. She responded: "So now that you've put it like that—with the BM—that probably, because you were so hurt, something has changed for you."
The former Celebrity Big Brother champ shared his fears about commitment, saying: "I did worry for a long time that, almost like I was frightened to commit or open myself fully to someone, because going through a break-up is quite hard."
Rylan has been open about feeling like a "failure" following his divorce. In a heart-to-heart with ex-Love Island star Tasha Ghouri, he confessed: "When I went through my divorce, I had a full-on breakdown because it wasn't just us."
He continued, revealing the weight of public perception: "It felt like it wasn't just us, even though it was just me and my ex. I felt that everyone's going to think this of me. Everyone's going to think, 'Oh look, his life isn't perfect. Oh look, he's failed like that.' I just felt like a failure."
In a candid chat with Stephen Fry, Rylan expressed how he grappled with the public scrutiny during his split, admitting: "There was part of me that just felt like a complete and utter failure. I felt like I'd failed personally, but I felt like I'd failed publicly on behalf of—the gays! You know, I'm not, I'm not 'head gay', it's not that."
Looking ahead to future romance, Rylan opened up in his autobiography, TEN: The Decade That Changed My Future, where he reflects: "I got in a relationship quite young and just went with it. Now I know I'm my own person. I'm not going to settle for something that's not right. In a way, it's been a bit of a gift.
"I'm happy to have sex with someone and that's that, that's not a problem. But do I want more? Of course I want more. Am I going to enjoy myself on the way? Abso-f***ing-lutely."

Liam Payne's sister Ruth Gibbins shares emotional tribute on 15th anniversary of One Direction - nine months after his tragic death
Liam Payne 's sister Ruth Gibbins has paid an emotional tribute to her late brother as the world marked 15 years since One Direction was formed. The band - made up of Liam, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson - become one of the biggest boy bands in history after being put together on the X Factor in 2010. Now, nine months after Liam's tragic death at the age of 31 - following a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires - Ruth honoured his memory with a touching Instagram post on Wednesday. She shared family photos taken in the same spot years apart which featured in the band's Story of My Life music video. The snaps showed Liam as a young boy and again as a teenager, posing with his loved ones. Alongside the snaps, Ruth wrote a heartfelt message reflecting on her brother's incredible journey and the legacy he left behind. She penned: 'Liam this one's for you '15 years of the 'I'm in a boyband' text, where Dad ran downstairs to tell us all, absolutely gutted at the time that you'd been sent home again, that you'd been put in a boyband. 'Your love of 1D never stopped, you were so proud of what you'd achieved and part of the love remaining, guiding us through this darkness is the love of your fans who have loved and supported you for 15 years, they are always so proud of you, I hope you can see it.' She continued: 'Your love and support for the other boys never stopped, you were first to congratulate about their successes after the band, you always sang their songs and spoke of them and your memories, they were the brothers you'd always wanted. 'I have my favourite memories of your band, and going through my 20s watching your success with such pride. One of my favourite memories is when we were at an after party and Souts was telling us about the 'story of my life' video idea, and you said 'ask him what photo of us we're using', he told us and I turned to you and said 'but Nicola's got a mullet and I've got black hair in it?!' 'And you laughed and said 'I know' absolutely howling that you'd got us to agree to reenact one of our worst photos. We had the best time filming that video with you. 'Everyday in your company was always tonic for my soul, no matter where in the world we were. 'From our dance shows, to small theatres, arenas to stadiums, incredible memories.' It comes just days after Liam's other sister Nicola paid tribute to the late singer on Instagram after watching him in Netflix's Building The Band. Last week Nicola heartbreakingly admitted 'I hate that this happened' and feels she will 'never be able to process his passing', nine months after his tragic death. In the tear-jerking post, Nicola wrote: '9 months ago today, our lives changed forever. I still find it incredibly hard to process what happened. I'm not sure I ever fully will, or even want to. 'Liam, you are the most incredible person. For those of us lucky enough to know and love you, our lives were truly blessed. 'Today, the world gets to see just a glimpse of your passion and talent and wow, you are amazing in this show. 'You cared so deeply about the people around you. You wanted to make a difference, and you are lighting up that stage like you were born to do. 'You were made to be a judge, to guide, to encourage, and to let your voice be heard. Watching you in this show, I've never been more proud. 'I just wish you got to see it. It's everything we knew it would be when we were at filming. 'This show will forever hold a special place in my heart because it's one of the last times I saw you, and I got to witness you shine so bloody brightly, but it's also allowed me to still feel close to you. 'I love you so much, and I miss you even more. I hate that this happened.' Nicola and Ruth are Liam's two older sisters, making him the youngest of three siblings in the tight-knit family. Backstreet Boys' AJ McLean hosts the programme, with Nicole as the main mentor and judge, being joined by Liam and Kelly Rowland throughout the process. And reflecting on her time working with the late singer, the Pussycat Dolls star Nicole admitted: 'We got pretty close through this whole experience.' She told People: 'Liam is such a kind and beautiful heart, and selfishly I'm glad that I got to spend my time with him. I'm really happy that the world gets to see another one of his gifts, which is helping these blossoming artists, these bands. 'He was amazing. I was really impressed with him. He was just so giving and generous, even when the cameras weren't rolling, spending time with all the fans and singing to them. It was lovely to watch him in his element.' The star said it was 'beautiful' to be able to see Liam 'come full circle' after coming third on the X Factor in 2010 with One Direction. She said: 'I saw the joy it brought to Liam. I felt that this was his happy place. Like myself, AJ and Kelly, we've lived this. We've learned it.' Nicole continued: 'To be able to bestow any inspiration and knowledge and wisdom and experience on any of these contestants and these bands, it brought us all joy. Particularly Liam. 'I felt this really inspired him and this was his happy place. This was his happy place because Liam was such a beautiful heart, and he loved to give back. He loved to help.'

Kerry Katona goes solo as she lands new job without Katie Price amid tour chaos
Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona has landed a huge new job amid her on and off tour with best pal Katie Price as they've been hit with cancellations and scheduling woes Kerry Katona hasn't let her pal Katie Price get in the way of her heading out on the road, as she secures a new lucrative deal. The former Atomic Kitten star, 44, suffered a setback when her scheduled appearance with the former glamour model, 47, was cancelled at the last minute. They also revealed they would be travelling the country on a mammoth tour, stopping off at over 30 towns before it was cancelled. However, Katie and Kerry managed to revive their shows as just weeks later they confirmed it was back on. While their tour looks set to happen, Kerry has secured another all on her own. Without needing to rely on mate Katie, Kerry is set to spend two months on the stage as part of the cast of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. The theatre show of the hit movie will travel across the UK in June and July next year as Kerry takes centre stage. Kerry's agency confirmed the exciting project as they said: "Our client @kerrykatona7 will be touring in the musical Here We Go Again in June and July 2026 across the U.K. and Ireland." Her celebrity pals have already signed up to support her when the tour kicks off as Love Island's Olivia Hawkins commented: "Yessssss finally! Superstar! Ready to be front row." The news comes as Kerry has faced uncertainty over her performances with Katie. This past weekend, Katie pulled out of Glasgow Pride due to "another urgent obligation." It came just weeks after she and Kerry pulled out of Barnsley Pride due to "unforeseen circumstances" and "personal reasons." Back in May, Katie and Kerry also cancelled their entire "tell-all" tour, which had been scheduled to visit venues around the UK. An Evening With Katie Price & Kerry Katona was given the axe when Katie was reportedly prevented from committing due to her "busy schedule." A source told The Sun: "Katie is gutted and tried everything she could to make it work, but she has had to step away from the tour because she has childcare commitments and also a very busy schedule." However, the tour is now back on and the shows will go ahead as originally planned. A source added to the publication: 'For the last few weeks, the team putting this together have been in crisis talks with Katie's people and they've managed to find a solution that suits everyone. "Some of the dates will be rescheduled to fit around Katie's childcare clashes, meaning she is back in. Everyone behind the scenes is thrilled because it would have been a financial nightmare to pay back all the tickets that had been re-sold. "Katie and Kerry are chuffed too as they didn't want to let any fans down.' Their show will kick off in September in Ellsmere Port and end the following month in Hull. The pals plan to "share stories of their friendship, marriage and divorce, bankruptcy, 'I'm A Celebrity', the importance of family, their constant press attention and turning their lives around."
