'Perfect' dress that 'doesn't crease' and 'packs well for holidays'

The Noelle dress from Fat Face features a beautiful blue and white print inspired by the sea, making it the ideal pick for beach holidays. And shoppers can't get enough of it
Cue the ABBA soundtrack because our fashion experts have found the perfect summer dress that's seemingly strolled straight off the set of Mamma Mia. For anyone still on the hunt for a light and airy addition to their summer wardrobe - be it for a holiday or at home - this one hailed 'perfect for hot summer days' could be just the ticket.
FatFace's Noelle dress is the epitome of boho, summer styling - think soft, sea-inspired hues and billowy fabrics. It offers a laid-back, sun-soaked vibe reminiscent of the Greek island wardrobes of Donna and Sophie - aka Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried - in the much-loved musical.
The dress boasts a stunning blue and white print inspired by the ocean, making it the perfect choice for beach holidays. With a flattering V-neckline, subtle ruching at the bust, and an empire waist, it's designed to be comfortable and airy while still offering shape.
To style it, team it with leather sandals and a raffia tote for day trips or add chunky gold jewellery and espadrilles for evening meals. For a relaxed festival-ready look, throw on an oversized denim jacket and white trainers, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Of course, there are plenty more Mamma Mia-inspired outfits out there. Roman offers this blue and white shirt dress that reviewers have described as 'smart' and 'fun', making it an ideal choice for spring festivities or weddings.
Alternatively, Boden has this gorgeous version with a Royal blue and white floral print. It's a pricier option at £126, but shoppers can save 15% with the code JM7D.
If you're taken with the Noelle dress, rest assured you're in good company amongst FatFace shoppers. One customer said: "Perfect dress for these hot summer days; the light fabric allows for the body to stay cool while it floats over the body and arm. Love this dress."
Another shared: "This dress is lovely; it fits well and is perfect for the summer. The crinkly fabric means it doesn't crease and will pack well for holidays."
However, not everyone was enamoured by the garment. One buyer wrote: "Lovely dress but needs to go back too long for me."
Similarly, price was a sticking point for another reviewer, who said: "Lovely dress, but honestly a little on the pricey side. It's lightweight for summer, the side slit and pockets are good, fit flattering, and the pattern dimension changes make it eye-catching, but not worth the £75+ price tag."
On a more positive note, another shopper eventually warmed up to the piece: "I wasn't sure about this dress at first, but it's grown on me. I love the long gathered sleeves, and the smaller pattern size on the bodice is a clever design touch."

Welsh DJ, 24, on 'amazing' job in Zante left in coma after horrific accident

Welsh DJ, 24, on 'amazing' job in Zante left in coma after horrific accident Kai Roberts, from Pembrokeshire, has been left fighting for his life after a quad bike accident on the party island and his girlfriend, who was overseas with him, has spoken out (Image: Kya Gillane-Heywood ) A tragic quad bike incident on the Greek island of Zante has left a young Welsh DJ in a coma after sustaining severe head injuries. Kai Roberts, 24, from Pembrokeshire has been put in a dire situation following the accident over the weekend. His partner, Kya Gillane-Heywood, who accompanied him to Greece, is reeling from the shock and has since taken action to support Kai through crowdfunding. Expressing her dismay from the holiday destination to The Mirror, she said: "It is horrible. It is weird because we are all still in shock so it doesn't feel real but at the same time it is just crazy because it is so real if that makes any sense? I don't know how to describe it." ‌ Back home, Kai holds a full-time position at a dairy factory and spins tunes as a DJ on weekends. He had embraced what was described as an "amazing opportunity" to spend the summer as a resident DJ at Ikon club in Zante, warming up for acts including Tom Zanetti. ‌ The thrill of his new gig came to an abrupt halt after an unfortunate turn of events last weekend. His family are desperately worried about him (Image: Kya Gillane-Heywood ) Kya shared the circumstances surrounding Kai's injury, saying: "It was Sunday and it happened around 5pm. They were out on the quads and obviously then they had the accident... Article continues below "One of the girls is out here with me, she found out and I didn't have my phone with me at the time. She came and found me and told me so I rang the other boy he was with to see what was going on. "At that point they didn't think it was as serious. It turned out when he got to the medical centre, they transferred him straight to the hospital and they did a CT scan and he had a bleed on the brain." Kai has been in Zante since June 1 and was expecting to return on July 1, but a severe incident resulted in him being placed into an induced coma for medical transport to the mainland of Greece. He's currently under intensive care with neurosurgeons attending to him. ‌ The accident took place after the quad bike, holding both Kai and his friend, hit with a wall. His pal escaped with minor injuries like cuts, bruises and swelling but the extent of Kai's fate is yet to be fully revealed. Kya Gillane-Heywood and her boyfriend Kai Roberts (Image: Kya Gillane-Heywood ) The latest information Kya received indicates that Kai is still comatose without any change for better or worse. As his condition remains unchanged, family members, who have rushed to Greece to support him, are desperately hoping for promising developments. ‌ In response to the situation, his girlfriend has initiated a fundraiser which has swiftly garnered over £5,000. Explaining the necessity for the funds, she remarked: "Kai has a lot of friends everywhere because he is an amazing person and everyone loves him. "We are not sure if the insurance will cover him and that is not what we have been sorting at the minute so the cost to his family coming out to be with him. "Potentially medical costs because when he does recover, which hopefully he will, he will not be able to work. So it will support him and his family." Article continues below Toby Ellis, the station manager at Pure West Radio where Kai hosts a house music show, shared his thoughts on the tragic event: "It's been an incredibly difficult 24 hours for all of us at Pure West Radio as we come to terms with the news about one of the PWR Dance Family DJs, Kai Roberts, who has suffered a serious head injury following a quad bike accident in Zante yesterday." Discussing a fundraising event set to take place at various clubs on Saturday, 26th July, he further commented: "This is the first time all of these nightclubs have been on the same bill together." Its pier along the Golden Mile seafront has been open since 1901, and thanks to new funding, it has undergone a major transformation with more to come. After £1.8million worth of funding, it now has a new look. The building is sleek and white with grey letters and detailing, looking worlds away from the facade it has had for a number of years. The original wooden Britannia Pier was built in Great Yarmouth in 1858, but was demolished in 1899. In 1901, a new steel and timber frame was constructed but was destroyed after a series of fires and rebuilt. Then in 2022, the pier was bought by Triangle Amusements who applied for planning permission to upgrade the site. Since then, there has been a new amusement arcade and a new front. And a second phase of work is expected to start in October 2025, which will focus on the food stalls and cabin. Despite the ongoing works, the pier is open during the summer and ready for business too. Comedy acts including Jimmy Carr, top tribute acts including Abba, Whitney Houston, Queen and Elvis will be hitting the pier. Great Yarmouth has everything you need for a classic British beach break. Last year, Sun readers put together their favourite spots that you just cannot miss like the Joyland amusement park. There you'll find the Super Snails ride, Tubs, Jet Cars, Spook Express and Neptune's Kingdom as well as slush drinks and ice-creams. Another reader suggested the Breydon Water nature reserve. When it comes to beaches, one of the favourites is the nearby Goreleston-on-Sea that they said is "considerably more quiet." They went on to add that it's a "lovely sandy beach and has a nice restaurant called The Fig which is a pizzeria/Greek restaurant overlooking the beach." Plus, the English town home to the world's largest fish and chip shop. And the cheap UK seaside towns that Sun Travel loves – where a day out for the whole family costs from just £25.

Where to find the best ice cream in Glasgow this summer

With fingers crossed for more sunny weather to come, here's our pick of the best spots for ice cream in Glasgow. Peacock's 62 Battlefield Road At Peacock's in the city's Southside, it's all about North American-inspired ice cream, which means plenty of funky flavours and additions like liquorice swirls, chocolate brownies or salty pretzel pieces. The business originally started as a lockdown hobby for owner Jennifer Clapp, but there's been no stopping her since the first batch of her 'Ode to Pollokshields' made with sweet honey mangoes melted the hearts of ice cream lovers across the city. Read our full interview from last year, following the opening of her first shop, here: What sets North American ice cream apart from gelato? Find out at new city scoop shop Olivia's 344 Crow Road This colourful little spot in Broomhill has had a bit of a makeover in recent months, with the focus shifted towards light lunches and afternoon teas. Fans of their ice cream shouldn't worry, however, as a selection of waffle cones, tubs, and sundaes is still very much on the menu. Choose from the likes of raspberry ripple, mint chocolate chip or a classic vanilla - and don't forget the sprinkles. Read more: Nowita 51 Hyndland Street Nowita's small batch ice cream is made in their Glasgow kitchen with only the best of ingredients. You'll find no artificial colours or flavourings on the menu, just a range of winning combinations like lemon and Italian meringue, chocolate and honeycomb or vegan-friendly peanut butter and jam. Keep an eye out for sundae specials made all the more delicious by the additions of freshly whipped cream, sprinkles, homemade hot fudge, and a cherry on top. Loop & Scoop 665 Great Western Road The signature serve from this multi-award-winning shop is a sight to behold, with two gelato scoops nestled into a striped orange tub and finished with a supersized glazed churro arch. If that's not your style, you can also choose from churro cups, milkshakes, gelato cakes, churro bites, or dipping churros to satisfy your sugary cravings. Loop and Scoop's gelato is made in small batches at their HQ in Kinning Park, and the team also operates a Southside outlet at 515-517 Victoria Road. La Gelatessa 38 Nithsdale Road The queues that form at this pastel-toned shop on Nithsdale Road as soon as the sun shines over Glasgow are a testament to just how incredible their homemade Italian gelato tastes. The salted pistachio and cinnamon brown butter are said to be the team's best-selling flavours, but you'll often encounter a wildcard like Nonna's Trifle or coconut rice pudding on a menu that's updated daily. Read more: La Gelatessa, Glasgow. Ron Mackenna's review Ginesi's Artisan Gelato 455 Victoria Road What could be better than a summer stroll around Queen's Park with a tub of homemade gelato? Though they've recently relocated a short distance away from their old Victoria Road shop, this place is still going strong, serving some of the best ice cream available in the city. They also have an impressive range of vegan flavours to choose from, meaning that no one misses out on the fun. University Cafe 87 Byres Road This beloved old school cafe has been serving the local area with sunny day scoops since the 1950s. Flavours of homemade Verrecchia's ice cream range from Lotus Biscoff to very cherry and are best enjoyed with a drizzle of sticky strawberry sauce. If you're lacking a sweet tooth, why not consider following in the footsteps of the late great chef and TV personality Anthony Bourdain, like I did earlier this year, instead?
