The pair, who appear together on Disney+ drama Rivals — based on Jilly Cooper's bonkbuster books — will each bag a rumoured £250,000 for their efforts.
On the raunchy Rivals series, Danny plays Cockney businessman Freddy Jones, while Emily is opportunist MP's wife Sarah Stratton.
An insider said: 'Bosses have been impressed with Danny and Emily's charisma on Rivals and thought they'd make an amazing duo on-screen to freshen up their entertainment talent.
'They're an unlikely pair but have appeared on a few panel shows together and have plenty of fun energy that is perfect for the tone that ITV want to set.
'Producers are keen to trial new presenting partnerships to get people talking, and both Emily and Danny have huge appeal.'
Danny hosted BBC gameshow The Wall from 2019 to 2022. He was on ITV show The Assembly in April, winning plaudits for his honesty and vulnerability.

I'm A Celebrity runner-up Emily was on ITV2's Celebrity Juice as a team captain from 2020 to 2022 and has also hosted her own stand-up show.
She was nominated for a BAFTA TV moment of the year in Rivals for a nude tennis scene in 2024.
She and Danny's partnership comes amid an overhaul of ITV's entertainment roster, with Dancing on Ice and Ninja Warrior shelved as new formats are launched such as reality gameshow The Neighbourhood with Graham Norton, and The Summit — a reality show hosted by Ben Shephard.
The source added: 'ITV is constantly trying to create the next big show and duo. It's about getting the chemistry just right.'

Danny O'Donoghue reveals bizarre reason The Script almost MISSED their Glastonbury spot

Sitting down with Bizarre before their set on Saturday, frontman Danny O'Donoghue admitted he'd been on a speedboat ride in Cardiff the day before, which left him battered and bruised. 'For about two hours, I think they were trying their best to get us to crash and not show up to Glastonbury. 'My knees are in bits. 'He was trying to do doughnuts and then coming back out. 'We left the sea more than twice. 'We went right up and bang, smashed down.' Danny, who paid an emotional tribute on stage to their late bandmate Mark Sheehan, celebrated afterwards into the early hours. But ahead of the performance, he said: 'I thought I'd be a bit more nervous. 'Glastonbury is like Woodstock. 'The first time, I remember feeling too small for the stage. Watch as The Voice's Danny O'Donoghue pays emotional tribute to late The Script star bandmate live on TV 'The stage was huge. 11 Danny O'Donoghue of The Script performs at Glastonbury festival 'Now, coming back, the stage looks quite small. 'But that's what 17 years of touring will do for you.' But their focus is on a follow-up to 2024's album Satellites. Danny said: 'We're doing a show in August then heading to the States to work with the writers from The Man Who Can't Be Moved and Hall of Fame and pretty much everything we've written.' There was a five-year gap between their last two albums but I don't think we'll have such a wait this time around. CHARLI'S ON FIRE CHARLI XCX delivered one of The Other Stage's best headline shows on Saturday. She later declared her love for fiancée George Daniels, The 1975's drummer, and praised Block9 as the 'best place' on Worthy Farm. Rod worked his way through hit after hit after cutting his current 28-song tour list down by eight. He was desperate to fit in as many tracks as possible and made every break sparse when speaking to the crowd and made it clear he was just there to give his fans what they wanted — with shouts of 'next' every time he wanted to hurry the set along. By eleventh song Young Hearts the 200,000-plus crowd at the Pyramid Stage were on song, with Rod's first ten tracks appearing to be relatively easy work vocally given how ill he was just seven days ago. His energy levels were high, with the British superstar gyrating and dancing around the extensive stage with ease. Those who've not been lucky enough to catch him on tour yet got to taste the full force of his band - with his brilliant saxophonist stealing the show alongside Rod's six brilliant female singers and string players. The affection and appreciation for Rod feels for his band spilled into my exclusive chat ahead of his set and on stage he made sure this set was just as much theirs as it was his. A quick change into a bright pink suit after If You Want My Body and Rod was ready to go - launching into I Don't Want To Talk About It before inviting my favourite Mick Hucknall on stage to sing If You Don't Know Me By Now before Ronnie Wood came on for Faces hit Stay With Me. Lulu then joined them for Hot Legs - with her saying as she walked off stage: 'Rod Stewart's the man.' Too right he is. During his closing song Sailing, Worthy Farm was swaying in near perfect timing - with many a tad out of rhythm thanks to the soaring heat and booze. Rod however was on song and after taking one final bow on that hallowed stage, turning his back to show his custom-made Celtic shirt, he bid the crowd farewell. They don't make many like Rod. And that felt incredibly special. DOECHII STARS IN STRIPES 11 Doechii wore pin-striped knee-high socks, a slip of a kilt and a tiny bra top on stage Credit: Getty DOECHII's set will live long in the memory and not just for her pin-striped knee-high socks, slip of a kilt and tiny bra top. The rapper's West Holts session on Saturday served as an introduction to all the fans who have found her this year, thanks to hits Anxiety and Denial Is A River. The US star peppered her set with snippets of the Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Missy Elliott and even Daft Punk. RITA ORA led the stars partying into the early hours in Block 9 – the festival's wild, immersive nightlife district – with husband Taika Waititi. The pair had plenty of energy after being driven around all day in an air conditioned four-by-four. The Hot Right Now singer was seen dancing and mingling with stars including actor Taron Egerton. Not so lucky, Jack Whitehall got separated from his pals and was told there was 'no more room' in the VIP bar they were in. Tilda Swinton was in VIP the bar with Maisie Smith – who must have been boiling in a massive faux-fur coat, while Lily Allen was overheard telling a pal: 'I feel so great, it's just this feeling.' Same, Lily. Same. 11 James Norton was spotted in hospitality camping with bare feet Credit: Supplied JAMES NORTON fans were shocked to see him stomping through hospitality camping with bare feet on Sunday morning. My mole told me: 'He was carrying his shoes and seemed in a hurry to get back from the toilets to his tent. 'People were doing double takes – and no one could work out why he'd taken his trainers off.' Maybe he's doing a Chris Martin, who is known for going barefoot because he likes to feel 'grounded'. CRUZ BECKHAM was living his best life – after renting out a posh Winnebago for himself and girlfriend Jackie Apostel. An onlooker said: 'While most people are stuck in stuffy tents, Cruz had a far fancier stay and was in one of the Winnies. 'The bigger ones cost almost £40,000 to rent. 'He spent Saturday enjoying some of the music acts with Jackie and stayed out of the VIP areas to hang out with the crowds.'

Lorde played a surprise set on Friday morning and got close to him on stage as he performed with her. Then in the evening, he had his arm around her while they watched headliners The 1975, before partying until well after 4am. It came just as his singer ex Kacy Hill made a dig at him on TikTok, to the soundtrack of Lorde's single Man of the Year, which he worked on. She wrote: 'Let's hear it for the man who ended a 6.5 year relationship while making a girl's album then started dating her.' A source said: 'Lorde is really happy with Jim after they bonded making the album. 'But there was no overlap and she was very respectful.' Huge change to Britain's Got Talent after ‘absolutely wild' Blackpool shows which Simon Cowell ‘loved'
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) BRITAIN'S Got Talent gave us some of the most outrageous wannabes in the show's history last series – by taking the auditions out of London and up the road to Blackpool. Now, I can reveal the raucous crowds who made the early episodes so much fun have convinced Simon Cowell and producers to host try-outs in yet another major UK city. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 3 BGT producers want to host try-outs in yet another major UK city Credit: Rex In fact, as well as heading back to Blackpool this autumn seeking contestants for BGT 2026, I can reveal that auditions will also be held in Birmingham as show bosses turn their backs on the capital completely. A TV insider said: 'The audiences up north were absolutely wild, with some shouting at Simon and flicking him V-signs if he didn't make a decision they approved of. Then, hilariously, some of the people who had abused him would sidle up afterwards and ask for a selfie — and, of course, he duly obliged. 'Simon loved it, so when they were looking at what to do for the new series, they decided to try out another city further north that might provide some of the same dynamism.' Birmingham was the birthplace of huge ITV shows, including cult kids' favourite Tiswas and classic soap Crossroads. Britain's second city was the home of talent contest New Faces which helped launch the careers of stars including Joe Pasquale and Lenny Henry. The BGT live semi-finals and final will likely remain in London. Moving the auditions from the big smoke on a near permanent basis won't surprise other judges either. Talking of their sensational trip north for the 2024 auditions, Amanda Holden said this year: 'The audiences were super-warm and brilliantly up for it. The show felt really appreciated and wanted up there. 'I honestly think we won't go back to London for the auditions. I think we'll be going back to Blackpool all the time.' Well, it turns out you were half right Amanda . . . Amanda Holden appears NAKED on radio just days after Ofcom complaints over BGT dress Nick: Why The Traitors is magic 3 Celebrity Traitors star Nick Mohammed on Ted Lasso Credit: AP NICK MOHAMMED has revealed his Celebrity Traitors co-star Stephen Fry promises to be as witty as ever in the upcoming show. The Ted Lasso actor said Stephen used a Harry Potter term for non-magical people to refer to the non-celeb version of the hit show. He said: 'Stephen referred to it as the Muggle version which really made me laugh.' Nick added: 'I was allowed one phone conversation a day with the kids but you are isolated from the outside world – at one point we weren't even allowed to know the time. 'You'd be, 'What's the time?' They'd say, 'It's traitors' time'.' Filming has wrapped on the series – which will air this autumn – but Nick has kept in touch with his co-stars. He added: 'There's a WhatsApp group and we're all on it – it's phenomenal and every day there's about 50 notifications.' Leo lined up LEO WOODALL has cemented his place as TV's favourite leading man with another sexy role. He will play the titular character in Vladimir, a Netflix eight-parter said to be 'full of sexy secrets and dark humour'. It also stars Rachel Weisz as a woman who becomes obsessed with Vladimir. Nadiya's a sole survivor 3 Nadiya Bychkova has revealed she has her entire body insured Credit: BBC STRICTLY Come Dancing siren Nadiya Bychkova has revealed she has her entire body insured – and does foot-strengthening exercises to help her cope with wearing her favourite high heels. Nadiya told me: 'I do have things insured – everything I need for dancing. 'Dancing puts food on the table, so I need to make sure I am OK. I think it comes from when I was competing at the highest level. I do a lot of workouts for my feet. It's about building the muscles. You don't want to walk in heels and twist something or break something. 'As we get older, we need to look after ourselves even more. If you twist your ankle, then you're done.' Game on for Squid THE THIRD and final series of Squid Game landed on Friday but now its creator has hinted there could be more to come. The dystopian hit saw gambling addict Gi-hun join in a deadly game against other vulnerable people, enticed by recruiters. Writer Hwang Dong-Hyuk said: 'I had this faint ideation . . . not a sequel, but maybe a spin-off about the three-year gap between season 1 and season 2 when Gi-hun looks around for the recruiters. 'Maybe a portrayal of what the recruiters or Captain Park or officers or masked men were doing in that period, not inside the gaming arena, but their life outside of that.' Sonia on the double CONGRATULATIONS to Coronation Street actress Sonia Ibrahim, who has given birth to her second child. C4 to air axed doc A CONTROVERSIAL documentary about medics allegedly coming under fire in Gaza will air on Channel 4 after the BBC axed it. Gaza: Doctors Under Attack looks at allegations that Israeli forces targeted hospitals and health workers in the Middle East conflict. The Beeb commissioned the film last year but shelved it, concerned it 'risked creating a perception of partiality'. Louisa Compton, Channel 4's head of news, said: 'We are showing this programme because we believe that, following thorough fact-checking, we are presenting a duly impartial view.' The one-off film will air on Wednesday at 10pm.
