Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection day 9: Aamir Khan has made a smashing comeback at the box office with Sitaare Zameen Par. The film has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in nine days. Directed by RS Prasanna, it has outperformed new releases like Kajol's Maa, Vishnu Manchu's Kannappa and Brad Pitt's F1.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has so far collected Rs 109 crore India nett. On its second Saturday, it saw a huge jump in collections, earning Rs 12.75 crore. It made Rs 88.9 crore nett in its first week and continues to bring in strong numbers in its second week. On the other hand, at the worldwide box office, Sitaare Zameen Par has earned around Rs 165 crore, making it the 5th highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2025. It is expected to surpass Salman Khan's Sikandar (Rs 185 crore) within a day or two to become the fourth highest grosser.
A spiritual successor to Aamir Khan's 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par, Sitaare Zameen Par is the 7th film of Aamir and his first in 7 years to enter the Rs 100 crore club. The actor's last movie to hit the milestone was Thugs of Hindostan. For the unversed, it was Aamir's 2008 drama Ghajini which became the first Indian film to reach the Rs 100 crore milestone.

Politician-author Shashi Tharoor praised the film in an interview with ANI recently. He said, 'It is an emotional and heartwarming movie. It teaches a lot. All of Aamir's performances are great, so I expected nothing less. His acting was first-class in the movie… I liked the story as well. It was well-written. Anyone who watches this movie will not only enjoy it but also learn a lot.'
Released in multiple languages, Sitaare Zameen Par also stars Genelia Deshmukh, Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, and Aayush Bhansali.

With Kajol in the lead, the star cast features Indraneil Shubhra Sen Gupta, Ronit Dolly Boseroy, Jitin Jyoti Gulati, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Gopal Singh, Kherin Sharma, Surjyasikha Das, Roopkatha Chakraborty and Yaaneea Bharadwaj in pivotal roles. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who gave 3.5 star rating to the movie, in a post on X stated, '#Maa [#MaaTheFilm] remains super-strong despite facing tough competition from #SitaareZameenPar and #F1TheMovie at urban multiplexes." Taran Adarsh emphasised that Maa could have earned higher revenue if the competition was 'less intense' with other contemporary releases, given horror genre tends to perform well in mass circuits. He added, "With #SZP dominating multiplex screens and showtimes, and #F1TheMovie also performing strongly at metro multiplexes, #Maa would have certainly posted higher numbers if the competition had been less intense and it had received a significantly higher number of shows.' Bollywood movie 'Maa,' which premiered on the silver screen on June 27, will mark its digital debut on OTT platform Netflix. Produced under the banners Devgn Films and Jio Studios, the film is a part of Ajay Devgn's Shaitaan universe.
