"Freakier Friday" star Lindsay Lohan isn't just serving up nostalgia on the silver screen.
The Critics' Choice-nominated actress and former child star, whose starring roles in "The Parent Trap," "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls" have made her synonymous with millennial pop culture, revisited some of her most iconic characters on the press tour for "Freakier Friday," a sequel to the 2003 body-switching comedy starring Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.
While attending the film's U.K. premiere in London on Thursday, July 31, Lohan sparkled in a sequined, lavender halter gown by Ludovic de Saint Sernin that mirrored the dress worn by "Freaky Friday" protagonist Anna Coleman in the film's closing scenes. She completed the look with a campy, guitar-shaped purse that paid homage to her character's musician background.
"London, You're the Ultimate!" wrote Lohan on Instagram alongside a photo of the nostalgic look, also referencing the soundtrack theme song "Ultimate."
Aside from her fashion tributes, Lohan has also been reconnecting with her movie-making family amid the press tour. During the "Freakier Friday" Los Angeles premiere on July 22, Lohan posed for photos with Lisa Ann Walter and Elaine Hendrix, who starred with Lohan in her film debut "The Parent Trap."
"Freakier Friday" follows the mother-daughter duo of Tess (Curtis) and Anna Coleman as they endure another comical body switch with Anna's daughter Harper (Julia Butters) and soon-to-be stepdaughter Lily Davies (Sophia Hammons).

Lindsay Lohan goes rocker chic with Pink Slip tribute
In "Freaky Friday," Lohan's character Anna serves as the guitarist for Pink Slip, an all-female rock band Anna forms with schoolmates Maddie (Christina Vidal) and Peg (Haley Hudson).
During a July 28 outing in New York City's Madison Square Park, Lohan was spotted wearing a Pink Slip graphic T-shirt, which she paired with a black leather miniskirt and dark sunglasses.
"💖✨ Pink Slip energy in full effect," wrote Lohan in a July 26 Instagram post, in which she could be seen wearing the same band tee with a baby pink cardigan.
Lindsay Lohan recreates 'Freaky Friday' finale look
One of the most memorable scenes from "Freaky Friday" is when Anna — who had been struggling to accept Tess' fiancé Ryan (Mark Harmon) — performs a musical number for her mother and new stepfather at their nuptials after switching back places.
Guitarist Anna, donning a lavender wrap dress, takes center stage for the performance, singing the sweet pop-rock banger "Ultimate" in dedication to the newlywed couple.
Lohan's U.K. premiere version of the look elevated the wedding frock with its elegant, sequined beading and silver halter collar.
Lindsay Lohan is a preppy princess with 'Parent Trap' homage
Lohan, who starred as identical twins Annie James and Hallie Parker in 1998's "The Parent Trap," paid tribute to British twin Annie with a preppy ensemble while in New York City on July 28.
The actress looked posh in a yellow plaid, tweed dress by Balmain, which she paired with canary Jimmy Choo heels and a black Hermès bag. The outfit struck an undeniable resemblance to the look Annie wears while departing summer camp.
"Annie James energy with a Freakier Friday Twist 💛," Lohan wrote on Instagram.

Lindsay Lohan serves up double dose of 'Parent Trap' nostalgia
In true twinning fashion, Lohan served up another "Parent Trap" homage during a July 28 appearance on "Live with Kelly and Mark."
The actress wore a multicolored, short-sleeved dress by Roberto Cavalli that resembled the floral number that Hallie wears as she and sister Annie attempt to reunite their divorced parents with a romantic dinner.
"A little shine, a little silk, a lot of love and some inspo from Hallie Parker 😉💚💜," Lohan wrote on Instagram.
Lindsay Lohan pays tribute to 'Sex and the City' glam with Carrie Bradshaw-inspired look
Lohan may not have hung around with Carrie Bradshaw in the late '90s, but the ladies are birds of a feather in the fashion department.
The "Freakier Friday" star took a page from Bradshaw's style book at the film's New York City premiere on July 28. Lohan donned a white Jacquemus dress featuring a poofy tulle skirt, a whimsical ensemble reminiscent of "Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker's iconic tutu dress in the show's opening sequence.
"Freakier Friday feels with a little family love and a nod to Carrie Bradshaw 🗽✨," Lohan wrote on Instagram.

'The Fantastic Four' makes us ask: Is it possible to give birth in space?

Spoiler alert! The following story contains major plot details about "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" (now in theaters). As Sue Storm, Vanessa Kirby gets to turn invisible and generate force fields to save the world from a cosmic giant. But in Marvel's "The Fantastic Four: First Steps," her most superheroic feat just might be giving birth in zero gravity. Midway through the film, a very pregnant Sue ventures into space with her husband Reed (Pedro Pascal), brother Johnny (Joseph Quinn) and friend Ben (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) to confront Galactus (voiced by Ralph Ineson) and his fierce mininon, the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). As luck would have it, she goes into labor just as Galactus threatens to destroy the Earth if they don't hand over their then-unborn son, Franklin. The superheroes run back to the ship, where Sue starts to have contractions. Between contractions, she uses her powers to make the vessel invisible to hide it from the villains. While Johnny is off trying to kill the Silver Surfer, Ben stands at the foot of her makeshift delivery table in order to catch the baby, and Reed holds his wife down so she has gravity to push. Whoa, baby! The real story behind the adorable star of 'Fantastic Four' While it's nowhere near as traumatic as Kirby's birth scene in her Oscar-nominated "Pieces of a Woman," it's still an incredibly intense moment as our heroes attempt to deliver the newborn in fraught circumstances. And according to experts, the movie's depiction of zero-gravity birth isn't far from the truth. "Labor and delivery is not dependent on gravity, so births would be expected to occur without gravity," says Dr. Hugh Taylor, chair of the department of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences at Yale School of Medicine. Nonetheless, he adds, "there are many aspects to consider. Movement cannot be well controlled, and positioning may be difficult. Movement of the baby or maneuvering the baby to aid in delivery could set the mom moving rather than the baby. The mom would need to be held in place. Strapping down the mom and any healthcare providers would be necessary. Amniotic fluid, blood and other bodily fluids would fill the room rather than drain to the floor. On the brighter side, no one would ever have to worry about dropping the baby!" Taylor is not aware of any humans or animals that have actually been born in space. But if it was to occur, he says the biggest issues would be cosmic radiation, as well as a lack of resources to care for the infant after it's born. "The developing fetus is more sensitive to radiation and there may be a greater risk of pregnancy loss or problems in development," Taylor says. "There are not likely to be medical units to care for newborns in space. Without the advanced care such as NICUs, some babies would be in jeopardy. Normal development after birth is far more dependent on gravity; this would clearly affect the growth and development of the baby. I would be more worried about the baby than the delivery." In short, what you see in "The Fantastic Four" is "feasible, and could occur," Taylor continues. "However, I would not recommend it. It would not be optimal for the baby's health."

STAR WARS Is Heading Back to Theaters for Its 50th Anniversary Celebration — GeekTyrant

It's hard to believe, but Star Wars is about to turn 50 years old, and how is the galaxy far, far away planning to celebrate this massive milestone? By heading back to where it all began… the big screen. Disney just announced that George Lucas' original Star Wars will be re-released in theaters on April 30, 2027, giving fans a chance to experience the iconic space adventure the way it was meant to be seen. While the official anniversary lands on May 25, 2027, Disney is dropping the re-release a little early because that weekend is already locked in for the debut of a brand-new film, Star Wars: Starfighter , starring Ryan Gosling. This theatrical return comes hot on the heels of Star Wars Celebration Los Angeles, which runs from April 1 to 4, 2027. With all eyes on the franchise during that time, you can bet Lucasfilm will lean in hard on promoting the return of the original film. There's even a chance we'll see some of the original cast and crew reunite during the celebration. The big mystery right now is what version of Star Wars fans will get. Will it be the 1997 Special Edition, the version George Lucas considers definitive, complete with added scenes and updated visual effects? That's the safe bet. But there's a growing glimmer of hope among die-hard fans. Just last month, Kathleen Kennedy attended a rare screening of an untouched original print of Star Wars , not even labeled as Episode IV: A New Hope . That screening has fans wondering if Lucasfilm is gearing up for something even more special. Maybe they're cooking up a new restoration of the unaltered theatrical version. Or even a version that fuses the best elements from both cuts. Whatever it is, if Lucasfilm drops the original, unedited classic, it'll be the holy grail moment fans have been dreaming of. The 1977 classic tells the story of a farm boy named Luke Skywalker, played by Mark Hamill, who gets swept into a galaxy-wide rebellion with Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness), and the roguish Han Solo (Harrison Ford). It changed cinema forever and kicked off a cultural phenomenon that includes sequels, prequels, spinoffs, shows, novels, comics, and a mountain of collectibles. So, get ready to relive the magic. Whether it's the original theatrical cut or the Special Edition, Star Wars returning to theaters in 2027 is going to be a fun event for longtime fans and a perfect introduction for a new generation.

Lindsay Lohan Wants to Do 'Some More Serious, Dramatic Roles' After ‘Freakier Friday'

Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are back together, 22 years after starring in beloved comedy Freaky Friday. Freakier Friday reunites the duo as mother and daughter Tess and Anna Coleman, who swapped bodies in the original film and, in the sequel, discover that lightning may indeed strike twice. More from The Hollywood Reporter 'Parent Trap' Stars Lindsay Lohan, Lisa Ann Walter, Elaine Hendrix Reunite at 'Freakier Friday' Premiere Joseph Quinn Wants a Marvel Team-Up With Tom Holland: "He's Our Best-Ever Spider-Man" 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Stars Weigh in on Show's Bullying Ban: "People Can Take It Too Far" At Freakier Friday's L.A. premiere on Tuesday, Lohan told The Hollywood Reporter that the follow-up movie is 'bigger, we have more stories to tell. It's a four-way swap and there's more music and there's a lot more physical comedy than the first one, which I love. Any moment that I can pull a Lucile Ball, I'm down for it.' Lohan and Curtis have remained close friends since they worked together two decades ago, as Lohan explained, 'She was there for me at a time of my life when my mom was busy with my siblings, and she was kind of like another mother figure to me out here in L.A. That's kept us pretty tight-knit over time, and we've always just been in contact.' Curtis added that in working with the 15-year-old Lohan in the first film, 'I said to her from day one, 'I want nothing from you except your own peace and serenity. And I am safe, I'm a home base; I don't want anything, I'm not going to ask you to come to anything.'' She continued, 'I don't want her to feel transactional with me, I want her to feel love.' The film is a return to the big screen for Lohan, who has marked her Hollywood comeback with a series of Netflix films over the past few years. Looking forward, the star said she's 'doing a TV show with Hulu that I'm really excited about and I'd like to take on some more serious, dramatic roles. And I love doing romantic comedy because that's where my home is and I feel like where my fans want to see me, but I'd like to take on some things that are different; maybe find something that's an action-packed film. Just really show people a different side of me.' Also returning for the sequel is love interest Chad Michael Murray, who joked of Curtis and Lohan, 'I'll ride those girls' coattails anytime. I came in, and you never know what to expect, you're sitting there going, 'Oh God, let's not screw it up.' You're going to make a sequel and I hate to say it but it's as good, if not better — they delivered.' Also at the premiere, the film's fictional band Pink Slip surprised guests with a special performance prior to the screening, and Lohan was joined on the carpet by her Parent Trap co-stars Lisa Ann Walter and Elaine Hendrix.
