Rajinikanth, Anirudh Ravichander dance win hearts in peppy song 'Chikitu' from 'Coolie'

New Delhi [India], June 26 (ANI): The makers of Rajinikanth much-awaited film 'Coolie' have released the song 'Chikitu' from the film, featuring the superstar's quirky dance moves.
Rajinikanth's highly anticipated movie 'Coolie' is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, marking the first collaboration between the 'Leo' director and Rajinikanth.
'Chikitu', a lively street-style song, was composed by Anirudh Ravichander and sung by T Rajhendherr, Anirudh Ravichander, and Arivu.
This peppy song sets the tone for 'Coolie' which is full of Rajinkanth's trademark swag reflecting the superstar's legendary demeanor and charisma on the screen.
In the music video, Anirudh is seen singing the song with a microphone in his hand, encircled by a group of background dancers who offer great additions to the overall vibe of the song.
The song has a grassroots Tamil feel thanks to the participation of renowned choreographer Sandy Master, beat master T Rajhendherr, and lyricist-singer Arivu in the music video.
In one of the scenes, Rajinikanth also appears as Coolie, stealing the show with his swaggy dance moves.
Taking to their X handle, the Sun Pictures (Official production banner of the movie) shared the video of the song.

In addition to Rajinikanth, the movie 'Coolie' also stars Upendra, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and Shruti Haasan.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth also has 'Jailer 2' in his movie pipeline.
On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the makers officially announced the film's sequel with a special promo featuring director Nelson Dilipkumar and music composer Anirudh Ravichander.
Nelson expressed his gratitude to Rajinikanth and announced the film on X with a caption that read,
'Immensely happy to announce my next film #Jailer2 with the one and only #Superstar #Thalaivar @rajinikanth sir and with my favourite @sunpictures #Kalanithimaran sir and my dearest loving friend @anirudhofficialand thanks to my team @KVijayKartik @Nirmalcuts @KiranDrk #pallavisingh #chethan @kabilanchelliah #suren (sic).'

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 30 (ANI): Actor Poonam Dhillon, famed for films like 'Trishul', 'Kaala Pathar' and 'Dard' among others, is credited with introducing a game-changing concept to the Indian movie industry- the Vanity Vans. The makeup van or artiste trailer is now considered a stape of film shoots with most Bollywood celebrities flaunting the lavish vehicles that provide a space for actors to relax, change their costumes and do so much more within its confines. However, once these luxury rooms were a rarity, compelling actors to sometimes travel back to their hotel rooms from their sets just for a costume change! In an interview with ANI, the Poonam Dhillon opened up on she launched her own company, which provided spacious mobile dressing rooms for actors and how such vehicles that were outfitted with facilties like air conditioning, makeup room, and toilet, came to be named as 'Vanities'! "Vanity was the name of my company," said the 'Teri Meherbaniyan' actor, adding, "You have to name your company something. So one of my friends who was a journalist... it was a were makeup vans. So it was a pun on the word van and vanity because you're the dressing thing.." Dhillon detailed how her friend suggested the name. "Meri ek bahut achi dost is no more, unfortunately. She was the editor of Stardust at that time. So when I was planning my whole thing, I said, I need to name my company, suggest some Prochi (Badshah)suggested vanity, besides all the other names which we were working on, and I thought that was a very good name. And today it's become a generic name for what a make-up van is aayi ki idhar laga dena..I said that was my company name. You could say make-up van idhar laga dena. But today they are called vanities." "I would say that on the set is also where you're getting to know each other or chit-chatting or comradeship happens. And if you become comfortable, then you share lunches even in makeup vans.." On the work front, Dhillon is best known for her 1979 film 'Noorie'. She also worked in 'Red Rose', 'Dard' 'Romance' , 'Sohni Mahiwal', 'Teri Meherbaniyan', 'Samundar', 'Karma', 'Naam' and 'Maalamaal'. Poonam made a special appearance in 'Judaai'. She also made a mark on TV and was seen as a contestant on Season 3 of 'Bigg Boss' aired in 2009. The veteran actor played the lead role in the serial 'Ekk Nayi Pehchaan'. (ANI)

Kannappa Day 3 Box Office: Earns ₹7.25 Crore, Telugu Version Leads in Occupancy

The movie Kannappa earned ₹7.25 crore on its third day (Sunday), which is a little more than the ₹7.15 crore it earned on Saturday, as per film tracker Sacnilk. On Sunday, the Telugu version of the film had the highest viewership. Around 40% of seats were filled overall. Morning shows were slower, with only 25% seats filled. Afternoon and evening shows were better, with over 50% seats occupied. Night shows saw about 33% occupancy. The Tamil version, which released on June 29, had about 24% of seats filled across the day. Morning shows had only 16% attendance, while the afternoon shows were the most crowded at 36%. In Hindi, the movie had about 23% occupancy on Sunday. The Malayalam version had very low attendance—only 5.8% of seats were filled on June 29. In total, Kannappa has earned ₹23.75 crore in India so far.
