Outlander Jamie Fraser's death 'sealed' in devastating season 8 clue

Outlander fans are concerned for Jamie Fraser after a first look at the eighth and final series was revealed
Outlander fans were given a surprise when the trailer for the eighth and final series of the Starz hit was shown at San Diego Comic Con.

The two and a half minute teaser focussed largely on Claire and Jamie Fraser's romance from their first meeting to their wedding and their reunion after 20 years apart.

But it was the last 30 seconds that left fans concerned as Jamie (played by Sam Heughan) reveals he had a copy of Frank Randall's (Tobias Menzies) book.

He tells Claire: "I've been reading Frank's book," and she asks what it reveals.
Jamie replies: "War is coming to the backcountry and that James Fraser dies in it."

Fans of the novels by Diana Gabaldon know that in Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, Frank's book is published posthumously and hints at Jamie's death when the Battle of King's Mountain takes place.
Many will be hoping Frank made a mistake but another shot from the teaser hints Claire could be saying goodbye to her husband.
In one moment, viewers are shown blood covering Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) hands. While she may just be covered in blood from helping injured soldiers, it could be Jamie's blood.

Unexpectedly, fans have been quick to pick up on the death clue with one writing on Reddit: "FRANK BETTER BE F**KING WRONG."
Another added: "I don't think I'll make it if they kill Jamie off in the final season."

One fan posted: "The hands with blood is throwing me. My first guess would be that it's Claire at Kings Mountain, but there's no rings."
However, many fans were mostly devastated they will have to wait until "early 2026" to see the final series.
One fan shared: "I am NOT ready to say goodbye," while another added: "I'm already grieving!!!!!"

Following the release of the teaser, Caitriona Balfe took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message about what the show has meant to her.
She penned: "Wow. I never thought we be so lucky to get this far... and now that we have I never thought we would have to say goodbye... what a journey... what a story.
"Thank you to Diana, the fans, our crew, fellow cast and our writers and producers... everyone at Sony and Starz... here is our final poster."

I bought a children's toy, but the instructions were in Chinese...can you figure out what it is supposed to be?

Doctor's kits, construction tools, and kitchen sets are often very common items in the toy aisle. But as the years go on, they seem to get more and more intricate, and without an instruction manual it can be difficult to discern what exactly your child is playing with. That's the problem a parent on Reddit ran into before uploading a photo to the site's 'What is this thing' thread. FlakyPhilosophy5103 posted the picture in hopes of getting to the bottom of a toy box mystery that had been bothering them for months. Along with a picture of two colorful children's toys, the poster wrote: 'Is anyone able to help me know what these things are supposed to be please? It has been bugging me for months. 'The kit was in Chinese so I am none the wiser.' They described the small plastic items as a 'scraper' and a 'round item' which came in a child's doctor kit. Fortunately, parents flocked to the comment section to help the parent identify exactly which fictitious procedures their child would be performing with the mysterious plastic tools. At first, there were a couple of well-meaning, but totally off-base guesses. One user commented: 'Could the blue thing be one of those reflex hammers?' Another theorized: 'Maybe the blue thing is a strange tongue depressor? Like, with a funky angle to get the large handle out of the line of sight, from before disposables?' A third said: 'The pink thing looks like the eye test where the doc switches out lenses.' One person even though the pink round object and blue plastic toy could be a dental X-ray machine and tooth guard. But the overwhelming consensus took the right answer in a different direction. Comparing the items to play doctor's kits online and toys of their own, as always, Reddit commenters were able to get to the bottom of it. 'I think the blue thing is supposed to be a scalpel,' said one answer. The commenters confirmed that the pink toy was supposed to be a doctor's light 'It's a surgery light and a scalpel, we have the same kit,' said another. People uploaded photos of similar kits which labeled the items as a scalpel and a spotlight, confirming their theories. The original asker posted a response, confirming that the solution had been found: 'Solved! Thanks all. It seems scalpel and surgery light is the answer. Maybe I can listen properly next time she is playing rather than wondering!'

"The control was taken away from me. But now everybody knows the truth about my daughter's DNA. My name is not on her birth cert. It's just my sister Aoife and Arthur."

Love Island couple ordered to leave the villa just hours before ITV final

One Love Island couple are being voted out of the villa by their former islanders. As we gear up for the semi-final of one of the most explosive Love Island seasons yet, two more islanders are set to be ruthlessly dumped from the villa, as they are voted out by their former friends and rivals, who aren't holding back. ‌ One couple won't make it to the final of the show, as the latest teaser reveals a tense moment where all the previously dumped Islanders return to the villa for one last, game changing decision. ‌ The official Love Island account took to Instagram to share the short clip from Sunday evening's episode, alongside the caption: "First look! Ex-Islanders return for a savage dumping, and they're not holding back." ‌ Host Maya Jama appears to have returned to the villa one last time before she gets ready for the final, and is seen entering the villa to announce the latest twist. After a dramatic slow-motion walk into the villa, Maya shouts: "Hello, hello, hello. Are you alright my loves? How was the dates? Are you all loved up? Well I have some very important news. Can you come and join me on the lawn?" The remaining couples in the villa are Yas and Jamie, Cach and Toni, Harry and Shakira, Ty and Angel, and Meg and Dejon, the Mirror reports. Maya delivers the news: "Well today, one more couple will be dumped from the Love Island villa and that decision will be made by some very familiar faces." ‌ Among the returning islanders is Sophie Lee, who joined at the start of the series and became the first to be dumped on day two. Viewers will also see the return of Tommy who was once considered a frontrunner to win, before being dumped by Shakira. The teaser sent fans into a frenzy as they speculated which couple the dumped islanders would be giving the boot. One viewer wrote: "Sorry, but after Thursday and Friday, it's gotta be Meg and Dejon. Their time is up", while another simply stated: "Harry & Shakira.. your time is up!" ‌ A third shared their thoughts and penned: "For all the years of watching Love Island, it's my first time feeling this nervous about the finals. I swear my anxiety level is through the roof." A forth fan stated: "Do the right thing and only let Yas, Jamie, or Cach near that money for goodness sake," while another expressed: "I swear if Shakira, Toni, or Yaz go home, I might have to have some therapy sessions" Only time will tell who the dumped Islanders will vote for and which couple will say their goodbyes just a day before the final. Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, and the final will air tomorrow (August 4) at 9pm.
