Facing Attempted Murder, Antonio Brown Remains in the Middle East
The day after the incident, Brown said in a post on X that he was 'jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me.'

Since the warrant was issued on June 11, the former NFL star has been traveling in the Middle East and remains overseas. He is not considered 'on the run, as Brown's trip began before the warrant was issued, according to the Miami Herald.
The warrant calls for Brown to post a $10,000 bond and he will be subject to house arrest until the trial.
Miami Police Chief Manny Morales on Monday afternoon told the Herald that detectives believe Brown is still in Dubai, have been in contact with his attorney and expect him to be taken into custody once he returns to South Florida.
'We're not going to be sending anybody there,' the chief said.

On Sunday, Brown claimed on X that he's been racially profiled by the media, fans and the NFL.
'How TF [the f—] You go from being victimized unto a attempt to murder you see they control the media,' Brown said in the post, which included a screenshot from ChatGPT. 'Took a month to change the narrative…'
Two days after his warrant was issued, Brown posted a clip of him pedaling a two-wheeler, all with a huge smile on his face. The post was captioned, '#lovefromthemiddleeast.'
Brown spent nine years with the Steelers from 2010-18 and then spent three more seasons in the NFL before quitting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers mid-game in 2021. He has been embroiled in numerous legal battles over the years, including sexual assault allegations, physical violence, failing to pay child support, and stiffing several vendors and contractors, including during his time as the owner of the Albany Empire indoor football team.

Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio placed on injured list with strained right hamstring
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers placed outfielder Jackson Chourio on the 10-day injured list Friday after evaluations of his strained right hamstring revealed more significant issues than expected. Chourio was injured Tuesday while running the bases on a triple in the fifth inning. The move to the IL was made retroactive to Wednesday. Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy said the 21-year-old Chourio will likely require more than a minimum stay on the injured list. 'It won't be anytime soon,' Murphy said before the Brewers' series opener against Washington. 'He was diagnosed a little more severely than we initially thought. To what extent, I'm not exactly sure. Nor are they. We're just going to have to rehab it.' Murphy said Chourio will receive a platelet-rich plasma injection. Chourio is hitting .276 with 17 homers, 67 RBIs and 18 steals for Milwaukee, which entered Friday with the best record in the majors at 64-44. He was replaced on the active roster by outfielder Brandon Lockridge, who the Brewers acquired Thursday from San Diego for pitcher Nestor Cortes, infielder Jorge Quintana and cash. Ghislaine Maxwell moved from Florida to minimum-security prison in Texas
Ghislaine Maxwell has reportedly been moved from a low-security federal prison in Florida to the minimum-security Federal Prison Camp Bryan in southeast Texas. The move, first reported by The New York Sun on Friday, comes a week after Maxwell's meetings with U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche — President Donald Trump's former personal attorney — regarding dozens of people allegedly connected to Jeffrey Epstein. The pair spoke over a period of two days, during which Maxwell indicated she would testify before Congress if granted full immunity from future prosecution, among other conditions including a presidential pardon. It's not clear why the 63-year-old convict was transferred, though the 'sweetheart' deal places Maxwell in a prison that puts her much closer to her family, according to the Daily Beast. The Bureau of Prisons couldn't immediately be reached for comment. Its online inmate tracker didn't list a location for Maxwell as of Friday afternoon. Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 'for her role in a scheme to sexually exploit and abuse multiple minor girls with Jeffrey Epstein over the course of a decade,' according to the Justice Department. She's appealing her conviction. The president's association with the pair has been under heavy scrutiny amid public demands for the DOJ to release the so-called 'Epstein files,' as well as reports that Trump was once close friends with the billionaire, who died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. Trump told New York magazine in 2002 that he enjoyed spending time with Epstein. 'It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side,' he told the magazine. Trump has since called Epstein a 'creep' and distanced himself from the sex offender, who pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting prostitutes including a minor. Earlier this week, the president claimed he and Epstein had a falling out many years ago after the disgraced financier 'stole' teenage employee Virginia Giuffre from his Mar-a-Lago club, where she worked in the spa in 2000. Giuffre later became one of Epstein's most vocal sex abuse accusers. She died by suicide in April, according to her family, who believe Trump may know more about Epstein's alleged activities than he's telling. Giuffre is not known to have accused Trump of wrongdoing, and he's denied any impropriety involving Epstein and Maxwell. Giuffre's family members and two other alleged Epstein victims sent a statement to media outlets condemning Maxwell's prison transfer. 'President Trump has sent a clear message today: Pedophiles deserve preferential treatment and their victims do not matter,' the statement said. A Trump administration official told one NBC News reporter the any assertion Maxwell is getting preferential treatment is 'absurd,' saying prisoners are often moved for a multitude of reasons including safety concerns. FPC Bryan offers the lowest level of restrictions in the federal prison system — a step down from the low-security FCI Tallahassee that Maxwell was previously in.
