Ryan Gosling's "Project Hail Mary" Drops Trailer
Ryan Gosling is heading to space in the first trailer for the comedic sci-fi adventure "Project Hail Mary".
The film from Amazon MGM Studios stars Gosling as Ryland Grace who makes a leap from an unassuming teacher to an astronaut assigned to a risky space mission.
The 'Barbie' star appears opposite Sandra Hüller ('Anatomy of a Fall'), who convinces Gosling's character to launch himself into space to save humanity.
The official synopsis reads, "Set in the near future, it centers on school-teacher-turned-astronaut Ryland Grace, who wakes up from a coma afflicted with amnesia. He gradually remembers that he was sent to the Tau Ceti solar system, 12 light-years from Earth, to find a means of reversing a solar dimming event that could cause the extinction of humanity."
'It's an insanely ambitious story that's massive in scope, and it seemed really hard to make, and that's kind of our bag,' Gosling said about the film at CinemaCon. 'This is why we go to the movies. And I'm not just saying it because I'm in it. I'm also saying it because I'm a producer on the film.'
Based on the
Andy Weir
novel of the same name, the film was directed by 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
Drew Goddard, who penned the film adaption of Weir's 'The Martian,' wrote the script.
'The Martian,' which was directed by Ridley Scott and starred Matt Damon and Jessica Chastain, went on to garner seven Oscar nominations and was a box office smash.
Besides 'Barbie,' Gosling recently appeared in 'The Fall Guy.' He also played astronaut Neil Armstrong in 'First Man,' which saw him reunite with 'La La Land' filmmaker Damien Chazelle.
Hüller earned an Oscar nomination for 'Anatomy of a Fall' and also appeared in 'The Zone of Interest.'
Lord and Miller won an Oscar for 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' and previously helmed '21 Jump Street' and 'The Lego Movie.'
"Project Hail Mary" is set to debut in theaters and IMAX on March 20, 2026.

Justin Bieber Releases Surprise Album "Swag"
Yara Sameh Justin Bieber has surprise-released a new album called "Swag". The album consists of 21 tracks, featuring guest appearances from a slew of artists including Dijon, Lil B, Sexyy Red, the comedian Druski, Gunna, Cash Cobain, 2 Chainz, and others. Production comes from Dijon, Knox Fortune, Daniel Caesar, and more, and a key songwriter across the album is Tobias Jesso Jr. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Bieber had been hosting 'jam sessions' at his Los Angeles home in recent months. The publication also reported that the singer decamped to Iceland to jam, 'vibe out,' and finish his album. One of the new album's collaborators, had previously spoken about his work with Bieber for a New York Times feature. 'He's searching,' the guitarist told The Times' Joe Coscarelli last year. 'Anything that comes out of his mouth: That's pop music,' he continued. 'You can really do pretty wild stuff behind that, just because it represents something.' "Swag" is Bieber's seventh studio album and first since 2021's "Justice". He launched his Justice World Tour the next year, but he had to cancel it early due to health issues. The cancellation apparently led to financial issues with his then-manager Scooter Braun, who allegedly helped Bieber cover the more than $20 million that the singer owed to the tour's promoter, AEG Presents. Bieber and Braun recently settled their dispute, according to The Hollywood Reporter and TMZ . In 2023, Bieber sold his catalog to Recognition Music Group (then known as Hipgnosis) for a reported $200 million. It marked the company's largest catalog acquisition at the time. Bieber has limited his musical output in the time since "Justice". He teamed up with SZA on 'Snooze (Acoustic),' Kehlani on 'Up at Night,' and Omah Lay on 'Attention,' to name a few of his collaborative efforts. Bieber also shared the songs 'Honest,' 'I Feel Funny,' and 'Beautiful Love (Free Fire).' The pop superstar soundtracked one of his promotional posts for "Swag" with Florida rapper Bossman Dlow's Mr Beat the Road standout 'Talk My Shit.' Hailee Steinfeld Teams Up with Miles Teller in Olympics Pic "Winter Games"
Yara Sameh After battling vampirism in the box office smash "Sinners", Hailee Steinfeld has found her follow-up project in Paramount's Olympics film "Winter Games", starring opposite Miles Teller. Paul Downs Colaizzo is directing the movie from a script he co-wrote alongside Pat Cunnane. Set in the high-stakes arena of the Winter Olympics, the movie follows a perpetually overlooked skier (Steinfeld) and a self-sabotaging hockey legend (Teller) who collide at their breaking points. Their unexpected connection threatens her chance for a medal and his shot at a comeback as they navigate romance and redemption in the Olympic Village. Tim and Trevor White are producing on behalf of Star Thrower alongside Teller. Steinfeld is coming off one of the year's biggest hits with the Warner Bros horror thriller "Sinners", where she stars opposite Michael B. Jordan. The pic blew past expectations with $365 million to date at the global box office — which includes an astounding $278 million domestic — making it the top-grossing original movie of the past 15 years and the fifth-highest-grossing horror movie of all time. Following an almost two-year break, Steinfeld made her much anticipated return to music on the Sinners soundtrack with 'Dangerous.' The song amassed over 4.7 million streams on Spotify in its first month. The movie also earned rave reviews, putting it, Steinfeld and her co-stars in the mix for consideration this awards season. Following the film's success, Steinfeld saw a slew of offers come in but, after taking her time, she ultimately landed on "Winter Games" as her follow-up pic. In 2023, Steinfeld reprised her voice role as Spider-Gwen in "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse". The second film in the popular trilogy grossed over $690 million globally and received rave reviews. The first film, "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2019. Spider-Gwen will make her return in "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" on June 4, 2027. In 2021, Steinfeld made her Marvel debut as Kate Bishop in Disney+'s "Hawkeye", starring alongside Jeremy Renner. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language
