Aamir revealed that he never received threats from the underworld but was instead invited to a party in Dubai. I told them, 'You've been meeting me for over a month now and I've told you from the start that I won't come. I still won't come. Lekin aap bahut takatwar log hain, aap jis din chahe aa sakte hain, chahe mujhe peetiye ya sar pe maariye, haath pair bandh ke kahin bhi le jaaiye (But you are very powerful people. If you want, you can come anytime — beat me up, hit me on the head, tie me up and take me wherever you want). You can take me forcibly, but I will not willingly go.'" Aamir Khan says he was afraid

When asked if he was afraid, Aamir said, "Haan darr laga, mere do chhote bacche the, Ammi-Abba jaan bahut pareshan ho gaye the ki yeh bahut khatarnak log hain, aap kya kar rahe hain? Lekin maine unhe ek hi jawab diya tha ki main apni zindagi jaise jee raha hoon waise hi jeena chahta hoon aur main nahin jaa raha hoon wahan pe (Yes, I was afraid. I had two young children. My parents were very worried — they asked me why I was doing this when these are such dangerous people. But I gave them only one answer: 'I want to live my life on my own terms, the way I always have — and I'm not going there')." Aamir Khan's recent and upcoming films

Aamir Khan revisits Bollywood's underworld era: When he got an invite from someone dangerous
Aamir Khan has opened up about a disturbing chapter from the peak of his early stardom, when the Bollywood industry was grappling with underworld influence during the 1990s. In a recent interview with The Lallantop, the actor shared how he was approached multiple times by individuals linked to the underworld, who insisted he attend a party in the Middle East — likely in Dubai. Despite repeated offers of money and assistance, Khan stood firm in his refusal. Back then, Aamir had established himself as a major name in Hindi cinema following the success of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988. But his rising fame also attracted the attention of some dangerous individuals. Without naming anyone, he said that some men approached him on a film set and later tried several times to convince him to attend the overseas gathering. Firm Refusal Despite Pressure Khan recalled that these individuals first offered financial incentives, along with promises to help with any professional need. When that didn't work, the tone shifted. According to the actor, the group eventually told him that his appearance had already been announced, making it a matter of prestige. However, Khan continued to decline. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Tiger reunites with the zookeeper after 5 years. He had two young children then, and his parents were deeply concerned for his well-being. Still, he remained steadfast in his decision, telling them that he simply wanted to live life on his own terms. At the time, he was married to Reena Dutta, with whom he had two children — Junaid and Ira. Their safety weighed heavily on his mind, but he did not allow fear to dictate his choices. Career Then and Now Aamir Khan also reflected briefly on his career, addressing a common debate around his 2007 directorial debut Taare Zameen Par. While Amol Gupte was the creative director who developed the concept, Khan explained that he eventually took over the direction himself after being dissatisfied with some of the filmed footage. He affirmed that he fully helmed the final version of the film. Currently, Aamir is enjoying the success of Sitaare Zameen Par, which has crossed ₹100 crore in India and earned over ₹160 crore globally. It has become one of the year's highest-grossing Hindi films. He is also producing Lahore 1947, a period drama directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, starring Sunny Deol and others. Additionally, he will make a cameo appearance in Coolie, a film led by Rajinikanth, which he agreed to join purely out of admiration for the legendary actor.

Shah Rukh Khan was unhappy with me: Aamir Khan recalls their ‘childish behaviour' of calling each other ‘chichora'
Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan were pitted against each other when they started their careers in Bollywood. When their films My Name Is Khan and 3 Idiots released within a gap of two months, the actors were seen taking jibes at each other. In a recent interview with Lallantop, Aamir opened up on he and SRK calling each other "chichora". Aamir Khan opens up about Shah Rukh Khan calling him chichora. Aamir once revealed that he had a pet dog named Shah Rukh but later clarified his statement. Talking about the same, the actor said, "Shah Rukh aksar mujhpe mazak karta rehta hain naa har saal jab award function hota hai, main toh jaata nahi hun. Toh har saal mazak voh mujhpe karte rehte hain (Shah Rukh often jokes about me, you know, every year during award functions. I don't attend them, so every year he cracks jokes at my expense)." Aamir then opened up on he and SRK calling each other "chichora" and said, "Actually ek period tha jab Shah Rukh aur main ek dusre ke liye kaafi kuch bol rahe the. Shayad vo naa khush the mujhse (Actually, there was a time when Shah Rukh and I were saying quite a few things about each other. Maybe he was unhappy with me), because I don't talk about others in my interviews. Anyway, let's leave all that behind. Shah Rukh is a good friend of mine. When our careers started, there was natural competition between us. But that faded away 10–15 years ago — at least from my side, and I think from his side as well. It was childish behaviour." All about the war of words For the unversed, Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots released in December 2009 and Shah Rukh's My Name Is Khan released in February 2010. To promote his film, Aamir travelled to different regions of India. When Shah Rukh was questioned about Aamir's promotional strategy by a reporter, he said, "I apologise for using such word, but 'yeh ek kism ka chichorapan lagta hai (It comes across as a bit tacky). I would never go to such lengths to promote my film. There's a way to promote every film and we have a unique strategy to promote this film (My Name Is Khan)." In an interview with ABP News, Aamir hit back at Shah Rukh and said, "Shah Rukh is a wise man. If I am going to different regions in our country and he thinks it's chichorapan (tackiness), then what can I say, this is his thinking. Jaha tak baat hai chhichhorapan ki, toh woh (Shah Rukh) jyada jaante honge iss chiz ke baare mein kyuki woh khud kaafi chhichhorapan karte hai apni zindagi mein. Woh expert hai inn sab mein (As far as being crass is concerned, Shah Rukh would know more about it because he himself behaves quite crassly in his life. He's an expert at all this).' But the two superstars seem to have sorted their differences now. Shah Rukh, along with Salman, was seen visiting Aamir Khan's house to celebrate his 60th birthday. Not only this, Shah Rukh also paid a visit to the Sitaare Zameen Par cast at Aamir's request, and they were both seen hugging and clicking pictures together.
