Love Island winner Sanam Harrinanan gives an insight into wedding dress shopping as she prepares to marry fiancé Kai Fagan

Daily Mail24-06-2025
Love Island winner Sanam Harrinanan gave an insight into wedding dress shopping on Tuesday as she prepares to marry her fiancé Kai Fagan.
The couple, who met on the 2023 ITV series, won by a landslide, receiving a whopping 44 percent of viewer votes and clinching the £50,000 prize fund.
Trying on a number of dresses at Lotte Rose Bridal, in Bedford, Sanam, 26, shared some of her favourites in an Instagram update.
Firstly, she tried on an off-the-shoulder lace gown before changing into an A-line dress with a corset top.
She captioned the update: 'Part two of trying to find a wedding dress.
'This shop was absolutely stunninnnggg! Let me know in the comments which style/shape you think suits me best!'
In December, the couple revealed that they haven't been swept up by the trappings of fame, having returned to their day jobs and turning down big money brand deals.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Sanam and Kai explained why they chose to return to their jobs as a social worker and PE teacher respectively.
Sanam shared: 'I went to uni for five years to do something I'm very, very passionate about.
'It didn't feel right giving up what I'd learned, what I'd gained a passion for. Also knowing that you're making a difference in very many young children and adopted parents' lives is a massive sense of fulfillment.
'I love my job and it just didn't feel right to just walk away from it all when I work so hard. I wasn't ready to give up.'
Sanam added: 'There's a perception that if you go on Love Island and then go back to work, you've been unsuccessful but that's really not the case with us because we both felt so strong about our careers and our passions. It's a case of living the best of both worlds.
'I'm really grateful for the opportunities and experiences that Love Island has brought our way but also waking up every single morning and feeling like you're actually being impactful in some way.
'We both work directly with children and the fact we can do that makes us feel like we're making a difference in our world. That's what's important to me.'
Kai revealed he felt the same about teaching, explaining: 'I really enjoyed it and even before I went in the villa and was doing all the interviews and discussing my work I was always adamant that I really like teaching.
'I wasn't on the show for a career change. I was going on there for the experience and for the opportunity to meet somebody.
'You come out and you have all these opportunities. The opportunities are still amazing. But what I really wanted to do is go back into education in some sort of capacity.
'Working in education is something that made me happy going in - speaking to the students, helping and guiding them through their lives.
'Having a direct impact and knowing that every single day you're waking up and looking at somebody and thinking, I'm actually making a little bit of a difference here.
'That's what gets me up in the morning. That's what makes me happy.'

We're excited to take that with us into an exciting new season."Juergen Rank, senior design director at Adidas, added: "We wanted to create something nostalgic, leaning on the lightning bolt graphic and reinterpreting it in a fresh and contemporary way for the modern era of Arsenal supporters."

Maura Higgins shares first glimpse inside incredible new £3,200,000 home

Maura Higgins has finally moved into her 'dream' £3.2million Essex mansion, giving fans a first look at its sleek kitchen and sprawling garden. The Love Island star, 34, revealed to her Instagram followers in October that she was swapping her one-bedroom property for a luxury new mansion. On Sunday, the reality TV personality posted some pictures from inside the home after moving in over the weekend. Posting a snap inside the sleek grey kitchen with views through large French doors into a manicured garden, she wrote: 'After the busiest few months…. she's finally in.' On the kitchen counter, she showed a large bouquet of flowers, a bottle of sparkling wine, and a candle to celebrate the occasion. A second picture on her Instagram Stories showed celebrity hairdresser friend Carl Bembridge sitting on a kitchen surface, adding: 'No chairs yet but he always finds something to sit on.' Last year, Maura shared a similar snap of the modern-style kitchen announcing that she had bought a new home, writing alongside the picture: 'Bought my dream home.' The I'm A Celebrity star has been relatively out of the spotlight following her kiss with Danny Jones at the Brit Awards. Maura has remained silent on the kissing scandal, but the McFly singer issued a public apology to his wife, model Georgia Horsley. In an Instagram Story, he wrote: 'Sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me. 'I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately. 'I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.' More Trending Danny skipped the Baftas in May with a source telling Metro it was in a bid to avoid Maura following the fallout of the scandal. 'Danny wasn't ready to bump into Maura after everything that happened. He's ready to move on from the situation entirely and put it in the past,' they said. 'Although a lot of his I'm A Celebrity co-stars were there last night and it would have been great to see them again, he didn't feel coming face-to-face with Maura at such a big event would have been appropriate.' Maura is next set to appear on our screens on the US spin-off of The Traitors alongside the likes of Lisa Rinna, Michael Rapaport, and Porsha Williams. Got a story? Anton, 30, took to his Instagram page to share a reflective post about his "body count" and why he used to be obsessed over the number of people he'd slept with. The Scottish hunk first appeared on Love Island in 2019 when he was coupled up with Belle Hassan and returned for the 2024 All Stars season. He returned to the Love Island villa earlier last year as part of the All Stars cast, where he was famed for some iconic moments including facing off against love rat Mitch Taylor when he told him "be a man, not a boy". In All Stars he coupled up with Georgia Harrison and they placed fifth on the series and continued to date after the show ended before they relationship fizzled out a few weeks later. The couple placed fifth on the All Stars edition of the show earlier in the year. Anton has been linked to many attractive women over the years including new Love Islander Sophie Lee and also Ouzy See, 30, who appeared on the show's tenth series. Since leaving the villa, Anton, has been an open book with fans including experiencing depression after leaving the Love Island villa and losing money in Dubai where he worked as a fitness coach. Anton has now turned his attention to bodybuilding and earlier this year fronted a BBC documentary that explored the growing issue of young men being unhappy with their body shape and whether TV and social media are part of the problem. Last month, Anton explained why he wasn't currently in a relationship. He said on Instagram he wanted to focus on himself and his career. Love Island star strips off completely 'Yes, I went on Love Island. Twice. No, I didn't find love. And no, I'm not crying about it — I'm too busy building an empire and smashing PBs," he wrote. 'Any time I've dated, they've needed more attention than I can give." Anton added: 'They didn't understand the mission. They weren't truly supportive of my journey.' He said: I've been on a few dates but nothing's really come to anything if I'm honest. Georgia and Anton's post-split swipes Just a day after their split was revealed and a source blamed it on the 400 miles between them, Anton shared a quote that said: "If someone truly loves you, distance is not a problem. "It's just the power of making love grow each day." While travelling with his mum in Pisa, Italy, Anton appeared to be looking for the positives in the relationship breakdown. Sharing snaps by the Leaning Tower of Pisa, he wrote: "When things appear to be falling over, step back and see the beauty in it." Most brutally of all, Anton voiced his regret at ever taking part in All Stars. He told fans: "I hated every minute of it. Part of me wishes I had never done it again just because 'cause it kind of ruined my Love Island experience. There were times I just questioned what am I actually doing." Meanwhile, Georgia took to Instagram to share a montage about 'marrying her best friend'. The video showed a couple messing around together, with clips of them singing at a concert, splashing about in a swimming pool and dancing together. The caption said: "Proof you should marry your best friend." Georgia then said: "If it ain't this I don't want it," with laughing emojis, suggesting her latest romance most certainly wasn't that. Days after the relationship ended, Georgia shared a tongue-in-cheek video on TikTok showing her desperately trying to escape any reference to it. Georgia nervously looked over her shoulder and ran through the complex as she was 'chased' by the question "Are you still together?" "It's always difficult dating in the public eye as you never really know people's true intentions. "When it comes, it comes, but there's nothing in the pipeline just yet." 4 Anton said he wants to focus on his career before getting into a relationship Credit: Instagram/@anton_danyluk
