Young Windsor director's film debut to star Sir Ian McKellen
Jacob said he had been working with Windsor-based youth-led film project Notice Productions for about a year when he suggested to one of the coordinators, Brad Day, that they should make a film about gay issues."He [Mr Day], as a joke, tells me that I have to have a synopsis ready by the next day - and I take him seriously," said the young director."So I write this whole two-page thing, hand it in, it gets approved and I'm in utter shock."Exploring LGBTG+ history was "really important" to him, said Jacob, adding: "While we have great films and TV shows now that focus on the present, I really think it's an important thing to focus on the past."Dragged Through Time goes as far back as ancient Greece, he said. "It was quite an accepting place back then."Most of the Greek gods, while they may be fictional, had male lovers."He described the genre of the film as "drama, in a way", explaining: "We have these dream sequences... that are different forms of theatre with drag queens played by me, which we had to make costumes for."Sir Ian plays the role of Great Uncle Peter, a semi-closeted older relative of the film's main protagonist.Jacob said they managed to secure the Hollywood star's involvement via Eton College's main film director Scott Handy.The actor described the project as "a really inspiring thing to look at", said Jacob, adding that Sir Ian was very easy to work with".Looking ahead to Windsor and Eton Pride, he said it would feel like "my community is moving closer to home".

The Coral customer from Huddersfield put four of the trainer's runners in a £1 Lucky 15 which all won, including a 28-1 winner at Goodwood A fan of Yorkshire trainer Ruth Carr has collected £96,000 after pulling off an extraordinary accumulator bet featuring four of her horses. Stillington-based Carr sent five runners to the races on Tuesday, three to Beverley and two to Sussex for the opening day of the Glorious Goodwood Festival. Not only did four of them win, including Brazen Bolt at odds of 28-1 in the valuable Shaker Handicap, but a Coral customer from Huddersfield had included the horses in a £1 Lucky 15. Star Start got the bet under way by dead-heating in the first leg at Beverley, then Brazen Bolt scored under Warren Fentiman, before Joanna Mason rode a double for the stable on Jojo Rabbit and King Sharja at Beverley. The betting shop punter's total winnings came to £96,052.50. 'Our punter from Huddersfield is clearly a big Ruth Carr fan, and their confidence in the Yorkshire-based trainer paid dividends on Tuesday, as they scooped just over 96k after including all four winners in a Lucky 15,' said Coral's John Hill. 'Carr's biggest-priced winner came at Glorious Goodwood, with Brazen Bolt struck in the sprint handicap at odds of 28-1. It was a day to remember for the trainer, and arguably an even bigger day for the Huddersfield-based customer.' Carr said: 'Well done that person. I'm pretty sure we haven't had a four-timer before. It takes some doing. You never go down into a big sprint handicap down south at a Festival meeting full of confidence. 'But the horse had been in good form, his back form was there as well. We took a valuable 5lb off, he got a straightforward ride and the old boy got the job done.' 'It's a long way and there are 40 other horses at home to train,' she said. 'I rode out and then went to Beverley which is just up the road. 'The horses are healthy and we appear to be getting in the right races. Luck is going our way and sometimes somebody else's bad luck is your good luck and we seem to be getting plenty of the good luck at the moment.'
