This is the second consecutive time since May that the district has secured the number one rank in the monthly review of grievance redressal performance.
"The ranking is done by a state-level committee after evaluating 10 parameters, including random verification of complainant satisfaction," SP Abhishek Yadav said on Tuesday.
He added that all 17 police stations in Pilibhit scored a perfect 100 during the evaluation. The parameters also included the time taken to resolve complaints, feedback status, action taken by senior officers, data entry quality, IGRS user verification, and the status of physical verification.
Yadav credited the achievement to "prompt and diligent action by police personnel, transparent and fair investigations, and careful analysis of all received information."

Man steals exotic birds worth Rs 16 lakh to fund marriage, caught by Ahmedabad police
Ahmedabad: Social media gave him the idea, but a wedding gave him the motive. A Nadiad resident, allegedly, stole 11 exotic birds worth Rs 15.80 lakh from a pet shop in Juhapura, hoping to fund his nuptials scheduled after Diwali. He planned the theft after seeing social media posts on the shop's birds, but his criminal past and the car he used in the heist led the cops straight to his door. Tipped off, Ahmedabad Rural police arrested Bishal Yadav, a native of Bihar, for the high-value theft and recovered the birds. SP (Ahmedabad Rural) Om Prakash Jat said, "Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime. He said that he learnt about the valuable birds and shop through social media reels. Give Rs 10 lakh each ex gratia to 5 killed in building collapses: Delhi Congress
New Delhi: Seeking action against lax officials shielding unauthorised buildings, the Delhi Congress on Saturday demanded Rs 10 lakh each ex gratia for five people killed in two separate building collapses in Seelampur and Azad Market since Friday. Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Devender Yadav said that a case should be registered against those responsible for the death of the five people, and a high-level investigation should be held along with action against the guilty. Four people were killed in the collapse of a two-and-a-half-storey building in Janata Mazdoor Colony, Seelampur, early on Saturday, and another person died when a dilapidated building in Azad Market caved in due to tunnelling. Yadav said that after the tragic accident, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta did not reach the site of the incident, and this shows her sensitivity towards the people of Delhi. The Congress President demanded that the Delhi government announce a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of those who died in Seelampur and Rs 2 lakh each to the injured. He alleged that action has not been taken against those responsible for the death of 11 people when a four-storey building collapsed in Mustafabad on April 19. Yadav said that the negligence and neglect of the present BJP's triple-engine government and the corruption-ridden government of the previous Aam Aadmi Party are responsible for the collapse of houses in the congested colonies of Delhi. He said that if a 15-year-old building collapses like a pack of cards, one can imagine how strong the land mafia's concrete columns were. The Congress leader said that the BJP and AAP have played with the lives of people by colluding with builders. He said that the MCD identifies dangerous buildings every year ahead of the monsoon but does not demolish them unless the property owner pays a bribe. He said that there are dangerous buildings in the Paharganj and Chandni Chowk areas as well as in the whole of Delhi, but no action is taken against them. Yadav said that in the past 11 years, there has been rampant unauthorised construction in Seelampur and Mustafabad under the patronage of AAP and BJP MLAs, and at present, there is no control over the corruption taking place. In January, a five-storey under-construction building collapsed in Burari, killing five people and injuring 12, while in April, a four-storey building collapsed in Mustafabad, killing 11 people, he said.

Rape survivor thrashed after challengingclosure report; 5 booked after SP steps in
Pilibhit: Four months after a 29-year-old rape survivor in Pilibhit pleaded before a local SHO for an FIR, the SP stepped in on Friday evening and a case was finally registered against five members of a family, including three women, for allegedly assaulting and threatening her at home on March 14 after she challenged a police closure report of an alleged gang rape case in 2022. The survivor said that she earlier filed a gang-rape complaint at a local thana on June 20, 2022, accusing two men, one of them being her sister-in-law's husband. But earlier this year, police filed a "closure report giving her tormentors a clean chit" in that case. When she challenged the "closure" through her lawyer in court, she was attacked by the family. She then took it up with the SHO several times, but to no avail. Left with few options, the survivor approached SP Abhishek Yadav and narrated her ordeal. She also told him the local SHO "ignored her requests for an FIR and justice in the 2022 case". After SP's nudge, SHO Pawan Pandey filed a fresh FIR. "A case has been registered against two main accused and three women under BNS sections 191 (2) (rioting), 115 (2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 352 (intentional insult) and 351 (3) (criminal intimidation)," Pandey said on Saturday. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Why seniors are rushing to get this Internet box – here's why! On reaching there, she did not find her and an unidentified man was present instead. The two men then raped her and snatched her gold earrings and necklace, the woman stated in the FIR, adding they also threatened to kill her. A case was registered against the two men under IPC sections 376-D (gang rape), 342 (wrongful confinement) and 506 (criminal intimidation). However, police later closed the case.
