NEIL Young reportedly had to use a cheat sheet during his Glastonbury headline set to remember the lyrics to some of his most famous songs.
Rock legend Neil, 79, is believed to have been seen glancing at a printed song sheet during the final 25 minutes of his 110-minute Pyramid Stage performance on Saturday night.

Audience members say they saw the musician checking the lyrics during renditions of Old Man and Name of Love as the show drew to a close.
One festivalgoer told MailOnline: 'You'd think he would know the words by now, he has been singing these songs for years.
'But maybe it's difficult to play the piano and remember the lyrics.'
Neil - one of the oldest artists ever to headline Glastonbury - performed a set packed with hits including Rockin' in the Free World and Throw Your Hatred Down.
However, the performance appeared to attract a smaller crowd than previous Saturday night headliners, with some attendees noting that the field in front of the Pyramid Stage was unusually sparse.
One wrote on social media: 'So empty at Neil Young," while another added: Pyramid stage field isn't even a quarter full by the looks of it.'
The appearance marked his first Glastonbury performance since 2009.
Neil had initially turned down this year's offer, criticising the BBC's involvement with the festival and claiming it was 'under corporate control'.
Representatives for Neil and Glastonbury have been contacted for comment.
But that wasn't Neil's only trouble during the gig.
Neil Young's Glastonbury slot 'dogged by sound issues'
The Canadian rock veteran also had difficulties with his microphone throughout the set.
He opened his show with Sugar Mountain, saying, 'Thank you folks," to the crowd as the song ended.
But those watching it were not impressed, with one person commenting: 'Someone tell Neil Young to sing into a microphone.'
A second moaned: 'Sound needs turning up like ffs, he's shredding that axe and you can hardly hear it.'
While a third said: 'Neil young with 48 microphones and none of them able to make his voice sound much beyond a grumble. Glastonbury has had a real hard time with the headliners the last couple of years…'
And a fourth added: 'Watched a few minutes of this Neil Young man, this is like the worst thing I've ever seen and heard.
'It's a no from me! Neil Young should not be headlining!Terrible!' raged another.
The star's set was shown live on the BBC after the broadcaster had previously said it would not be transmitted live "at the artist's request".
Earlier on Saturday, a BBC statement said: "We are delighted to confirm that Neil Young's headline set from Glastonbury on Saturday will be broadcast live to audiences across the UK on the BBC."
Neil's performance was not guaranteed as earlier in the year he temporarily pulled out of, claiming it is a "corporate turn-off" due to its broadcast deal with the BBC.
He said on his website: "We were told that BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot of things in a way we were not interested in.
"It seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way I remember it being."
But just days later he did a surprise U-turn, the singer confirmed his slot blaming "an error in the information I received" for him initially turning down the offer.
A statement on his website read: "Due to an error in the information received, I had decided to not play the Glastonbury Festival, which I always have loved.
"Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing. Hope to see you there."
The Sun first reported that the singer was booked to headline Glastonbury, 16 years after he last played on the Pyramid Stage.

Harry Hill wants TV Burp to return - but with one major change
Harry Hill wants TV Burp to return - but with one major change The 60-year-old comedian fronted the ITV comedy clip series - which saw Harry make jokes relating to the previous week's hottest TV shows, with episodes also featuring sketches and parodied scenes - from 2001 until it ended in 2012 (Image: BBC ) Harry Hill wants TV Burp to come back – but with a new presenter. The 60-year-old comedian fronted the ITV comedy clip series - which saw Harry make jokes relating to the previous week's hottest TV shows, with episodes also featuring sketches and parodied scenes - from 2001 until it ended in 2012. And whilst Harry thinks he would not succeed in re-creating the award-winning show, the star is open for someone to replace him in reviving the programme. In an interview with the new issue of Radio Times magazine, he said: "I don't have any plans [to bring back Harry Hill's TV Burp]. "These things are best left undone. We did all the jokes. Trying to re-create that, I'd be on a hiding to nothing, but I'd love someone else to do it. "There's a space for that sort of show and I'm surprised no one's filled it." Article continues below The Knitted Character was a recurring character in many series of Harry Hill's TV Burp until it was replaced with Mr. Fluffy in series 11. And Harry said the Knitted Character does not want the "weekly stress" of the show either if it came back. Speaking about the Knitted Character - who appears in Harry's new live show New Bits and Greatest Hits - he said: "He's in my live show. He comes on at the end as part of the badger parade, riding on the back of a heron. "Blink and you'll miss him because he's only tiny, but he's still working. "Knitted Character is older and wiser now. He doesn't necessarily want the stress of a weekly show, either." The comic - who married artist Magda Archer in 1996 - binged-watched property shows, such as Homes Under the Hammer and EastEnders, for Harry Hill's TV Burp, and now he gets annoyed by them if he tries to tune in. He quipped: "I used to watch them all for TV Burp, so they're a bit triggering, which is unfortunate because they're the only shows my wife watches." Harry - whose real name is Matthew Hall - said the sketch comedy series Monty Python's Flying Circus is what inspired him as a child to become a comedian. He explained: "Brucey [Forsyth], Eric [Morecambe] and Ernie [Wise] and The Two Ronnies [Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett] were big in our house, but what really got me was Monty Python's Flying Circus. Article continues below "The problem was, my dad decided what was on, and at 9pm, he wanted to watch the news on BBC One. "I wanted to watch Not the Nine O'Clock News on BBC Two. We'd sneak it on, turn the sound down and hope he wouldn't realise what the time was."

Rod Stewart's 'hilarious blunder' at Glastonbury that fans failed to spot
Sir Rod Stewart took to the stage in the legends slot on the Pyramid Stage on the last day of Glastonbury, but many fans failed to spot the "hilarious" blunder he experienced Glastonbury Festival goers and Sir Rod Stewart fans have been left in stitches after spotting a "hilarious" gaffe the singer made during his performance, which has only just come to light. The amusing incident was highlighted by comedian Harry Hill, who took to Instagram to share a clip of Sir Rod's on-stage antics. The footage has since gone viral, with many finding humour in the cheeky "blunder" that occurred during Sir Rod's set. In a fit of giggles while watching Glastonbury Festival, Harry captioned the post: "I think my Glasto highlight has been Sir Rod blowing his nose." Accompanying the video, Harry poked fun at the 80-year-old rock legend for seemingly fishing out a handkerchief before nonchalantly blowing his nose in full view of the audience. Prior to the humorous episode, Sir Rod can be seen rummaging in his pocket for the tissue before heading over to the side of the stage to get one. The post has racked up over 15,000 likes and sparked a flurry of comments from amused viewers. One user simply stated: "Hilarious." Another chimed in with: "TV highlight of the week." A witty third remarked: "Do you think I'm snotty?" Others praised the star's showmanship, with one saying: "He was brill. Loved him going off stage for a cuppa. Good on him. True entertainer." Sir Rod graced the Pyramid Stage for the legends slot on the final day of the Worthy Farm festival. Accompanied by back-up vocalists and his band, the singer delighted fans with renditions of his beloved classics. Ahead of his much-anticipated Glastonbury performance, Sir Rod encountered a string of challenges. He was forced to cancel a handful of US gigs in early June as he battled the flu before the festival. He has previously revealed his intention to cease "large-scale world tours" after 2025, favouring more personal venues instead. Yet, as he took the stage at Glastonbury, the crowd's reaction suggested he still possesses the flair for an electrifying performance. On social media platform X, one admirer posted: "Massive crowd for Rod fair play." Another chimed in with: "Bigger turnout for Rod than Neil Young last night." A third commented: "All those eyes on Rod. He looks fabulous for his age." Another fan expressed: "He deserves that crowd after all these years." The Maggie May crooner stepped into the legendary tea-time slot at the prestigious festival, following in the footsteps of icons like James Brown, Diana Ross and Shania Twain. In anticipation of the event, Sir Rod shared his excitement with Radio Times: "I'm really looking forward to it, and it is a different gig. It's like when you're playing a cup final you're trying to treat it like another game. "But, of course, it's not. It's special. It'll be glamorous, it'll be sexy. And we've got a little orchestra coming on to play with us. And we may have some bagpipes." Fans were beside themselves with excitement on Sunday when the artist was accompanied onstage by his former Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood.
