BTS Star RM Jumps Back Into Action Days After Military Discharge
Most of the BTS members, RM, Jin, V, Jungkook, Jimin and J-Hope, have now completed their mandatory military service, with only Suga awaiting discharge. Wasting no time, Kim Namjoon, aka RM, has already resumed work, following in the footsteps of Jin and J-Hope, who also jumped into new projects shortly after their service ended.
ARMYs now have another reason to celebrate: RM has been announced as the global ambassador for Samsung's Art TVs. For his first assignment in this new role, he travelled to Basel, Switzerland, to participate in the prestigious 2025 Art Basel event, marking an exciting post-military chapter in his career.
The event is set to take place from June 19 to 22, but the South Korean singer has already shared a sneak peek from his trip on Instagram stories. Although RM didn't post much, he did show a lovely view of the city while riding around on a bike. He also mentioned Samsung in his post, confirming his new partnership with the brand.
Speaking about the collaboration, RM said, 'As someone who finds deep inspiration and comfort in art, I'm honoured to partner with Samsung to share my journey and love for visual creativity. Through this collaboration, I hope more people can connect with art in their everyday lives, just like I do."
According to the official announcement, RM won't just be attending Art Basel in Switzerland—one of the world's most prestigious art fairs- he'll also be leading a special talk. In this session, RM will share his thoughts on modern art, the meaning behind collecting it, and how visual art can tell deeply personal and powerful stories.
While an official BTS reunion is still on the horizon, most of the members recently came together to support J-Hope at the final show of his solo tour, Hope on the Street, during the 2025 FESTA celebration. Suga, who is still completing his military service, is expected to be discharged on June 21. Meanwhile, Jin and Jungkook made a surprise appearance on stage and joined J-Hope in performing their fan-favourite track Jamais Vu, making the moment unforgettable for ARMYs.
