A warning was in place for people to stay hydrated, and many people were lying in the shade wherever they could.

Before the gates opened, news broke that a main stage act had pulled out due to 'illness'.
English rock band Wunderhorse will no longer play at TRNSMT, and were due to perform at 2.10pm until 2.50pm on Saturday.
The gates were opened at midday, and fans flooded into the site. Many headed straight for the stage, others straight to the bar.

Singer James Bay then told his Scottish fans, 'when you sing, it sounds beautiful,' during his storming set.
We also got to some serious reporting and asked the people of TRNSMT for some fashion advice.
And the responses we received were bold!
Back at the main stage Glasgow rockers, Twin Atlantic, were 'truly everything you want at a festival - good fun and great music.'

Liverpudlian singer Jamie Webster admitted he can't believe he is sharing the same stage as rapper 50 Cent as he delighted the crowds.
We also hunted for the cheapest pint at this year's festival and put it to the test, and found the ice-cold beer to quench a heatwave-induced thirst.
Kicking off their set with Catch These Fists, Wet Leg immediately commanded the main stage, giving a 'memorable' show.

Celtic daft rapper Bemz brought immense energy as he headlined the BBC Introducing stage.
The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue told his fans at the Glasgow Green it was good to be back on the festival stage.
Before defying festival organisers, the cheeky star then declared: 'I was told not to do this,' before he jumped into the festival crowd to perform Nothing.
Confidence Man stormed the King Tut's stage with a blistering set that put some energy into a sun-induced, sweat-soaked audience.
The electro-pop, synth-laden sound coupled with energetic choreography was perfect for the sunset crowd.
It felt like as the day cooled off, the TRNSMT crowd finally heated up. ]

Rapper 50 Cent then headlined Friday on the main stage.
The In da Club global icon drew a huge crowd to top off a stacked bill of superstars.
Kicking off his set with What Up Gangsta? - there was no chit chat as Fiddy belted out hit after hit, including PIMP, I Get Money, and Candy Shop. Addressing the crowd, he then said: 'I have been doing this s**t a long time.'
And with that, he went back to the beginning for 21 Questions which attracted a sing-along from the packed out TRNSMT crowd as backing dancers pulled off sultry moves.
He brought the nightclub to the Glasgow Green.
Smiling from ear to ear, he then declared: 'God damn, this weather is amazing.
'Isn't this the best weather for an outdoor festival?'

Snow Patrol shout out iconic Glasgow venue at TRNSMT
Dedicating Chasing Cars to Glasgow, Gary Lightbody (lead singer) of Snow Patrol, thanked King Tut's Wah Wah Hut for helping them when they were first starting out and living in the city. Gary told the crowd: "When we first moved to Glasgow in 1998, we would rock up to the front of King Tut's with our guitars and ask if we could play on the stage after the doors opened. "Every time they would let us play, they would also feed us. When you're a new band who are just starting out, stuff like that means the world. So, I would like to thank every place in Glasgow that helped us like Tut's and Nice N Sleazy. "I also want to shout out all the amazing bands from Glasgow too. There are too many to name." (Image: Picture credit: Lesley Martin/PA Wire) The Northern Irish–Scottish rock band, who formed in Dundee back in 1994, declared that playing in Glasgow felt like coming home. Speaking on the importance of the city to the band, Gary said: "This city was a big part of our life and is a really important part of our journey as a band." During their hour and a bit set, the group played their big hits as well as a song from their new album as Gary humorously told the crowd: "It was going to happen at some point. I couldn't help but smile as a huge grin spread across Gary's face every time the crowd sung the lyrics back to him. He was buzzing, thrilled and any other positive word you could think of. But most of all, there was a look of thankfulness and gratitude to be in Glasgow, to be on that main stage and to be headlining this festival. You could see Gary taking it all in, as if he was having his own 'I made it' moment. There's something beautiful about seeing a globally renowned band feeling so appreciated by our city. But, it's what we do best, isn't it? Making people feel at home, appreciating what they have to offer to us and of course, enjoying live music. I can't say I was particularly a fan of the band before the show, nor had I ever really listened to them, but Snow Patrol's set made me want to devour their albums and immerse myself in their sound. Though I said I wasn't particularly a fan of the band before the show, I certainly am now.

‘Most amazing experience you'll ever have': Fans react as TRNSMT comes to an end
The band received a warm welcome from thousands of fans at TRNSMT who braved a weekend of temperatures of up to 30C. Lead singer Gary Lightbody told the audience that Glasgow was a 'big part of our life' and a 'big part of our story'. He said playing in the city 'always feels like coming home' as he played the band's hits, some of which were written in Scotland, and some newer tunes. Gracie Abrams, the second last act, shared her love for Glasgow during her set, which saw thousands singing along to some of her viral hits from the past few years. 'My name is Gracie Abrams and I've missed you so much,' she told a hyped crowd, some of whom had waited all weekend to see her. 'We love being in your city so much. All of these songs are love letters with you. 'Glasgow I love you so much.' The singer said the response from the fans had given her 'chills'. Her song I Love You, Sorry got some of the biggest responses of the entire festival. Abrams said her festival slot in Glasgow was her last one in Europe 'for a long time', adding: 'I wanna say thank you for everything. 'Getting to come and tour is one of the best experiences of my life.' Eleanora, 17, and her two friends came to Sunday's show to see Abrams. She described TRNSMT as 'the most amazing experience you'll ever have', while her friend Lauren Wilkie, 17, said it was 'a pure blast'. Niamh, 17, said: 'Fontaines DC have been the best so far, I have to say. 'Just the general atmosphere, it's so fun seeing people dressed up. 'Fontaines were actually insane. Our group was just jumping around getting pushed about but it was so good, we loved it.' Kira McCaffery, 20, said the atmosphere this weekend was 'absolutely electric', adding: 'I have loved it this year. The sun has been splitting the sky.' Her friend, Mia Moohan, 22, said she was 'buzzing' to see Abrams. She praised this year's line-up, saying there was 'more going on' for festival-goers. Ms McCaffery said there was 'something for everyone'. Friends Matthew Turner, 17, Mitchell Mure, 18, and Liam, 16, were less impressed with the line-up. Asked if they were sad the festival was coming to an end, they all said: 'Not really, no.' 'My legs are sore,' Liam said. Mitchell added: 'It was so much better last year.' Asked why, he pointed to the stage and said: 'Look at it.' She said the festival was '10 out of 10' and said 50 Cent was the best act, echoing the opinion of lots of fans the PA news agency spoke to. 'It was unreal,' she said. 'Just phenomenal. It was better than I thought it would have been. The atmosphere was good. I'm here today to see Snow Patrol. I'm so excited. 'The vibe has been good, the atmosphere has been good and it's cooler today so more enjoyable.'

Gracie, 25, who supported Taylor Swift on her record-breaking Eras tour, has emerged as a star in her own right. Abrams, who is dating Gladiator 2 star Paul Mescal, 29, also expressed her love for the city. Her movie director dad JJ was spotted filming next film Ghostwriter in the city last month. And she told fans: 'Glasgow it's so nice to see you. I've missed you so much. I can't believe you're all here. This is so crazy. We love being in your city so much. Pals Leah Harrower-Cassells and Lia Winchcole, travelled from Stirling and Falkirk to watch their hero. Leah said: 'We've been fans for years.' Still Game star spotted at TRNSMT and reveals excitement to see his pals headlining Boyfriend Paul's sister singer-songwriter Nell, 22, was also among the performers. Meanwhile it didn't all go to plan for ex Little Mix star Jade — as she had to pause her performance due to a costume mishap. She laughed: 'Oh my god it is hot. 'I know we've just got going but if you don't mind I'm going to take myself stage right as my t**s are literally out.' Advertisement Singer Myles Smith, 27, took to the main stage in a kilt and Scotland footie top from 1998. And he looked right at home after preparing for the festival by supporting Ed Sheeran on his world tour. KOOKS HOOKED ON CITY THE Kooks reckon a Glasgow crowd is worlds apart from anywhere else on the planet. Lead singer Luke Pritchard, 40, hailed fans after they rocked the main stage on Saturday. And they revealed they'll be back soon for a special Scottish date. He said: 'It was really good to be back. 'We always feel like we're home when we play Glasgow. You can't shut the fans up.' The Brighton band have just released seventh album Never/Know. Luke added: 'For the summer, we're basically away every weekend. 'We are part of the festival woodwork now. 'It feels like we've found our sweet spot. It's like the summer of rock and roll. Rock and roll's back!' But it was headliners Snow Patrol who brought the three brilliant days to a euphoric close with anthems such as Chasing Cars and Signal Fire. Now in their 30th year, and having lived in Glasgow for a decade, they viewed TRNSMT as a perfect homecoming. Advertisement And fans who revelled in the final-day fun went away buzzing. Gracie Abrams fan Emma Kooij, 22, from The Netherlands, flew over especially to see the superstar — the 30th time she has saw her perform. NATHAN LANDS GIG AT HYDRO NATHAN Evans sprang a surprise after getting the main stage jumping. The singer, who made his name with viral sea shanties, announced his biggest show to date — a gig at Glasgow's Hydro arena on October 25. Speaking after performing alongside The Saint Phnx Band, he said: 'To be able to announce I'm playing the Hydro in front of the fans who've helped make it happen, is the stuff dreams are made of. 'Everything these days is about social media, so there's something special about telling folk about it live during a show.' Nathan's announcement follows the release of Arabella — his first new single since the success of his sophomore album 1994. Emma said: 'She's amazing, I absolutely love her music and I couldn't pass up the chance to see her. She never disappoints'. Mag, 47, travelled from Osaka, Japan, to see former The View frontman Kyle Falconer — the third time she's come over for TRNSMT. She said: 'I'm a huge fan of Scottish music. ELLIS TIPS ACTS TO STEP UP TRNSMT boss Geoff Ellis tipped several acts to graduate to the main stage in future years after being wowed by their performances. The DF Concerts & Events CEO was happy with the eighth instalment of the Glasgow Green festival and is already looking ahead to 2026. He said: 'We're talking to potential headliners more than a year in advance. 'They won't necessarily be locked in yet but we're talking to people. 'It's always based on what the fans want to see.' The former T in the Park supremo pointed out Lucia and the Best Boys and Wet Leg as acts that he felt levelled up this year. Bride-to-be Louise McGregor, 31, from Perth, was the centre of attention after getting dressed up in wedding clobber. She said: 'About three months ago we planned to come for the day. My fiancé is at home building wardrobes so we had rather different days.' Advertisement Amy Paterson, 21, from Glasgow, had a ball with friend Jack Spooner, 24. She said: 'We came to see Nathan Evans and have been trying to get tickets for years. I was buzzing to see Tom Walker as well.' Sharon Fraser, 46, from Speyside, with hubby Callum, 56, said: 'Chasing Cars was our wedding song so we loved seeing Snow Patrol.' Fans now eagerly await next year's line-up — with dates for TRNSMT 2026 to be released in weeks. Police confirmed six arrests on day two, bringing the total to ten.
