Brest interested in Chelsea goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina before moving on to Nice's Maxime Dupé
Aston Villa pounced and signed Bizot, who is understood to act, for now, as Emiliano Martinez's backup. Brest then scoured the market for a goalkeeper. According to Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Eric Roy's Bretons were interested in Slonina. The 21-year-old spent the first half of the past campaign on loan at Barnsley FC before being recalled by Chelsea. He was an unused substitute during the Club World Cup.
It appears Brest have moved on from Slonina to another more experienced target in Maxime Dupé. The 32-year-old goalkeeper was Marcin Bulka's understudy in Nice. Les Aiglons have replaced the Pole by Reims' Yehvann Diouf. Talks are reportedly heating up between Nice and Brest.

Argyle 'working hard' to bring in new striker
Plymouth Argyle head coach Tom Cleverley says the club is "working hard" to bring in an experienced centre forward. With Ryan Hardie and Mustapha Bundu having left the club over the summer, the Pilgrims' attacking options are limited. Argyle have signed youngsters Bim Pepple and Owen Aseni, while wide players Jamie Paterson and Xavier Amaechi have also joined the club in the current transfer window. "We all want those deals to be done as quick as possible," Cleverley told BBC Radio Devon. "Now it's important that you don't bring the wrong one in, just because he's there to do. "There's a premium price on League One strikers and people who can score goals at this level. "We're working really hard and I'm confident we'll see one come in in the next 10 days."

Report – Inter Milan Rely On Atalanta Star's Desire To Join As They Prepare Second Bid
Undeterred by Atalanta's stubbornness, Inter Milan are ready to send an improved offer for star forward Ademola Lookman. According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri rely heavily on the player's desire to come to San Siro. That's not far from the truth. Indeed, Ademola Lookman has already accepted Inter's contract proposal. Furthermore, he has rebuffed Napoli's attempt to hijack Inter's pursuit as he only wants to join Cristian Chivu's side. Inter Milan Bank on Ademola Lookman Wish to Join as Second Bid Looms Inter's opening bid, worth around €40 million, fell short of Atalanta's request. Moreover, the Nerazzurri tried to sign Lookman on loan with an obligation to buy. However, Atalanta prefer an outright sale and have been sticking to their guns so far. Inter hope to bridge the gap by sending an enhanced offer, expecting a €42m bid could seal the deal. Additionally, Lookman may give the San Siro club a decisive helping hand. Indeed, the player could force his exit, which would significantly bolster Inter's quest to sign him.

Atletico Madrid 'emerging as favourites' to sign Manchester United player
Atletico Madrid want to complete their attack with one more signing, and the player to arrive could be a familiar face. It has already been a busy summer for Atleti, with Alex Baena, Matteo Ruggeri, Thiago Almada and Johnny Cardoso having been signed. But club bosses are not done yet, and at least a couple more players could arrive before the transfer window closes at the start of September. A new central defender is needed, but there is also a desire for another winger to arrive. Atleti have moved for Ademola Lookman, but he looks set for a move to Inter, having agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri. Because of this, alternative targets will be needed, and one of them is at Manchester United. According to The i Paper, Atleti are interested in signing Antony, who will almost certainly leave Man United before the end of the summer. The 25-year-old, who registered nine goals and five assists during his loan spell at Real Betis during the second half of last season, is reported to be available for £30m. Image via Diario AS Betis want to re-sign Antony, but they currently cannot afford the asking price set by Man United. On the other hand, Atleti would be able to, especially if they manage to secure a transfer for Samuel Lino, who is a strong candidate to leave the RiyadhAir Metropolitano. Antony would be a valuable addition to La Liga In terms of right wing options in Diego Simeone's squad, Atleti only have Giuliano Simeone and Marcos Llorente (who is preferred as a right-back), so it does make sense to consider signing someone. And in terms of targets, Antony could be on the best, especially if he can keep up the form he showed at Betis. It remains to be seen whether Atleti sign Antony, but for now, no concrete efforts have been made to do a deal with Man United.
