GTA 6 second trailer smashes records, but fans fear another delay; are you worried? Check details
GTA 6, or Grand Theft Auto VI, finally released its second trailer in May after a year-long wait. The second trailer is the biggest video launch in history, with over 475 million views in its first 24 hours across all platforms. Amid this, fans are eagerly waiting for the game to launch, but they can't stop predicting the release date.
Recently, the fans on social media shared their concerns over another delay coming in after the game was initially delayed to 2026. When the second trailer of the game was released last month, Rockstar announced that GTA 6 is delayed to 26th May, 2026.
According to the studio, they released a ton of new screenshots and artwork from the game, and it has also been updated on its website with extra information.
Fans are concerned over the further delay of the game
Even while it appears that this date is now final and won't be altered, GTA 6 fans are concerned that Rockstar might cause the game to be delayed once again.
A recent Reddit post that went viral said, "How would you feel if GTA 6 got delayed AGAIN?" This sparked discussions online among users, and one wrote, "What's more pain is that fact that people who are looking forward to the 2026 release will make that but will die before a 2027 release"
"I'm expecting a second delay, TBH," another noted. It's happened for both GTAV and Red Dead 2."
While one said, "Both were slated to release in the spring of the respective years they came out. They were both delayed twice. My advice to you younger folks. Just don't even think about it. I obsessed over GTAV for the two years in between the release date and the launch. Same with Red Dead. They both exceeded my expectations. It will be worth the wait."
Why is there a possibility that GTA 6 will be delayed further?
Rockstar Games usually only delays a game when they don't have a concrete release date to be announced. However, the game could be delayed multiple times if it has not been given a specific date, but there is still a chance that 26th May 2026 is going to be the release date, as per Gaming Bible.

Everything we know about the alleged development of the GTA 6 companion App
Image via Rockstar Games. At this moment, fans just need the slightest of hints from any way possible to speculate a new theory about GTA 6, and the recent rumor about a dedicated companion app is just the latest addition to that. Since GTA 6 Trailer 2 dropped, there has been nothing but new theories and speculations everyday as fans are leaving no opportunity to entice the game. For example: fans were seen building the same house as Jason's in various other games, on the other hand, many fans found uncanny resemblance with GTA: Vice City. GTA 6 rumored to feature a companion app The trend of companion apps is slowly fading day by day. Not only does it keep a note of all your in-game possessions, like cosmetics, stats, quests, and more, it also gives an enhanced experience outside the game itself. Many major franchises feature this aspect like Destiny 2, Call of Duty, and many more. Now it seems GTA 6 will be following the same path as well. This round of speculation began when Rockstar North posted a job listing on its website seeking employees for the role of Mobile Engineer. According to the listing, the role demands the understanding of iOS and Android app development to maintain Rockstar's mobile platform. GTA VI Companion App by u/Gerald19901 in GTA6 There are companion apps for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, and official mobile ports of various Rockstar titles like GTA: San Andreas, Max Payne, Bully, and many more. But none of them needs any sudden update. So, the job listing for a mobile app developer points straight towards a potential GTA 6 companion app. And as we are less than a year away from the launch of this highly anticipated title, this speculation finds a more solid base. However, nothing is official and Rockstar is yet to announce if there will be any companion app for the game. But having a dedicated companion app with enhanced features than the contemporaries would be actually great. Players will be able to stay connected with the game even when they are not on their main system by picking virtual calls and messages from the NPCs through the app. Or maybe players will be able to sync their music library via this app to listen to their favorite song in the rumored Spotify-like music streaming service in the game . RDR2 also had one in 2018, which I think was better than the GTA 5 companion app, as it had an interactive live map of your current player position and surrounding activities (both story mode and online, but it was disabled for online later), useable story/online catalogue and the full strategy guide." What to expect from the GTA 6 companion app? Many assumed the companion app trend was fading with time after Blizzard shut down its WoW app. However, major developers still look interested in the same space. As per Game Rant, one of the recent examples was the Zelda Notes feature that was added to the Nintendo Switch app, mimicking a companion app, after which, now, Rockstar seems to be following the league. Since the release of the first trailer of the game, the companion app highlighted a TikTok-style social media platform that showed off the many bizarreness of Leonida. Moreover, the app could have some useful functions that are reflected in the game, depending on the level of integration. India or Germany? Techie's 45 LPA vs 80,000 euros offer sparks fierce online debate
An Indian software engineer earning ₹ 45 lakh per annum posed a question to the developers community in India about a job offer in a Berlin startup, which has triggered heated opinions online. In a Reddit post titled 'India or Germany? FinTech Startup offer in Berlin,' the senior software engineer wrote that he was recently laid off but received a job offer in Germany paying 80,000 euros a year. Techies joined the conversation, with an overwhelming majority asking him to stay in India, citing lifestyle changes.(Representational image/Unsplash) "I am a senior software engineer with 8 years of experience, drawing a 45+ LPA salary(in hand, perks are also provided separately). I was laidoff recently and started giving interviews, even to companies hiring outside India. Got a chance to give interviews for a Fintech startup in Berlin, but I am in doubt whether it is a good decision to relocate to Germany. It is proper startup and also they are providing 80,000 EUR per annum. How should I compare and make this decision?" he wrote. Techies joined the conversation, with an overwhelming majority asking him to stay in India, citing lifestyle changes. India vs Germany "80,000 euros per annum. Living costs are high in Germany, especially when you have a family. Other than that, you get good perks. And even taxes are around 35-50%," said one of them. Others offered a detailed breakdown of real take-home income and monthly expenses in Germany: "Assuming you are single, after taxes, you will make approximately 3,800 per month. Rent will take away 1200-1500. Food, groceries, utilities, transportation, internet etc will easily set you back by another 1200-1500 EUR. At the end you can save 500-1000 EUR per month depending on your lifestyle," wrote one of them. Some advised shifting focus from salary to lifestyle: "More than salary, if you're interested in work-life balance and standard of living, then go for Germany." "Close to 50% taxes and a yearly increment of 1-2%. 80k yearly is not that much, honestly and not worth it. Racism is on the rise and Germany today is comparatively unsafe compared to pre-2016," said another user
