LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 20: Randy Orton (R) celebrates after defeating Joe Hendry during WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium on April 20, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In a recent interview with WhatCulture, former TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler in WWE, said how he truly felt that the title was now in the hands of an NXT Superstar.
"I'm absolutely furious and pissed off about it, and that's not a joke or a game," Nemeth said, per Corey Brennan of Fightful. "I feel like Joe Hendry has accomplished so much and he's brought so many eyes to TNA and he's kicked so much ass.
"This isn't a world of participation medals and awards that says, 'hey, great job. You lost our world title to a different guy from a company from a different company.'
"So I don't go, hey, great job, buddy. Thanks for trying really hard and losing our title to a different company. I say, I congratulate him when he brings people in, when he defends that title, he beat me, and I said, 'damn it, you beat me. You got me.' And when you lose and you mess up, just like I do to myself, or I get on Ryan's case, when we make mistakes, we own up to it.
"He lost our world title. I am not okay with that. I feel like we might need to bring back wrestler court or something, or pull him aside with everybody in the locker room. Because if everyone's gonna pat him on the back for the good things, we need to let him know that he messed up and lost our world title.

TNA Seeking TV Rights Deal To Go Live 52 Weeks A Year

TNA Wrestling has some lofty goals for a potentially huge television deal for iMPACT. Anthem Sports President Carlos Silva recently spoke with JohnWallStreet. While discussing the current partnership between TNA and WWE, Silva revealed that Anthem is looking for a new television deal for TNA iMPACT that would see the brand go live 52 weeks a year. 'We are [regularly] being featured on every major WWE and NXT platform. PLEs as well as weekly programming on The CW and their other [broadcast] outlets like Peacock,' Carlos Silva said. 'This [has resulted in] a huge [television] audience lift for [us], along with all the social media support we get from [them]. 'A new media rights deal will help us build a more consistent fan base with larger reach. It will also provide us the opportunity to go live 52 weeks a year, and in today's world live matters [in terms of fan interest and revenues].' How much is Anthem looking to get a year for TNA iMPACT? Silva would go on to reveal that the company is currently looking for a deal within the $10 million a year range for iMPACT. 'Something in the $10mm/year range is where we [and CAA] think we should be,' Carlos Silva said. 'We're talking to [all the established] linear guys and a couple of newer platforms that need a foundational [programming] centerpiece. There are a couple of networks that look like Spike [TV] in today's world, we could be a good fit for, the same way [UFC and TNA were for that network a decade or two ago].' Finally, Silva stated that they are confident that iMPACT have a new distribution deal in place in the next two months. This would be a huge step up for the company as a majority of homes in the United States don't get AXS TV. Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more news on TNA's potential new television deal as it becomes available. TNA President Teases Slammiversary Will Be ‘PHENOMENAL'

Could it be? This weekend, TNA Wrestling will celebrate its 23rd anniversary with a stacked card at Slammiversary. Amongst the lineup is TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich vs NXT Women's Champion Jacy Jayne, with the winner taking possession of both championships. Elsewhere, TNA World Champion Trick Williams will defend his title against Mike Santana and Joe Hendry. Per an announcement from TNA President Carlos Silva, fans are also hoping to see an appearance from a popular TNA alum. Due to high demand, TNA has opened up additional seats at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, the site of Slammiversary. 'We're moving the stage back to accommodate more fans,' Silva wrote on Twitter/X. 'This event will be TNA's greatest achievement and trust me it's going to be PHENOMENAL.' The latter sentence has particularly caught the attention of fans, as it seemingly points to former TNA World Champion AJ Styles, known as 'The Phenomenal One.' While a contracted WWE talent, Styles appeared on the 2022 Slammiversary event, via a pre-taped video honoring the company's then-20-year anniversary. Given WWE's current partnership with TNA, wrestling fans have long called for Styles to physically return to his former home of 12 years. Styles' TNA run was so successful that the company considered inducting him into their Hall of Fame. Styles turned it down at the time, citing his desire to wait until after he retires from in-ring competition. As of this writing, there is no official word on whether or not AJ Styles will appear at Slammiversary 2025 in any manner. Regardless, the July 20 event already looks to be a success from a ticket standpoint, with Silva promising the show itself to also be a success. TNA President Carlos Silva Reacts To Speculation About AJ Styles' Slammiversary Status

TNA Slammiversary will be a phenomenal event. But will AJ Styles be involved? Earlier this week, TNA President Carlos Silva announced that the promotion was adding more seats at its Slammiversary pay-per-view on Long Island this weekend. Silva made the announcement on X/Twitter and said that fans should trust him when he says it will be a 'PHENOMENAL' night. Fans immediately speculated that Silva was hinting at 'Phenomenal' AJ Styles being involved in the show. Styles has used that moniker for years, and he's arguably one of the most decorated pro wrestlers to ever work in TNA. WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard recently spoke with Silva to promote Slammiversary and asked about the Tweet in question. Was the phrasing intentional, and would he like to expand on his initial statement? Carlos Silva reacts to rumors that AJ Styles could be involved with Slammiversary 'Really nothing more than what's in the Tweet. It's going to be a phenomenal night, and yeah, there's someone, as you know, 'Phenomenal' is a big part of their walkout. We think it's going to be a phenomenal night and see how it goes, but it's exciting,' Silva said. '[AJ Styles] has been such a foundational, historical wrestler that has made TNA what it is today. And now he's such a big Superstar in WWE. So, we opened up some seats, we're going to expand the floor a little bit. We're bumping up against what we could do,' he continued. 'I think we added something like 700 seats on the floor with a small change that the operational team made. So we just wanted to get that out there and let people know it's going to be a phenomenal night.' TNA would like to return to the UBS Arena Silva went on to praise the UBS Arena for their help in making sure Slammiversary is as big as possible. Tickets are selling well, and they have opened more seats. Silva was asked if TNA is looking at larger-scale arenas for bigger events like Bound For Glory. In response, he said Slammiversary will set the tone for how the promotion books venues into 2026. 'I think as we look at all of our pay-per-views and our big shows, we have to be thinking about how Slammiversary accelerates the presence and the venues that TNA goes into. We've already been in some great cities this year; LA was a great show, we just had a great show in Pittsburgh. New York is New York, it's the greatest city,' Silva said. 'The partnership with UBS Arena, John Ledecky, the owner of the Islanders has been great to work with. 'We'd love to keep going back to UBS Arena, but like anything, that's on TNA. That's on our staff and our athletes to perform great on Sunday night,' he added. 'I think if it comes off [well] and we have the biggest show we've ever had — which I think is going to happen. We really hope that we'll be coming back to UBS Arena and other arenas like it into the fall, and certainly into 2026 as we lay out that schedule.' Our full interview with Carlos Silva will be released on Thursday. Read More: Do you think AJ Styles will be involved with Slammiversary in some way?
