From Cocktail to Happy Bhag Jayegi, stream the best of Diana Penty in one place - only on OTTplay Premium
Diana Penty made her powerful debut with Cocktail. The movie is remembered for Deepika Padukone's performance, but Penty left just as much a mark on the viewers. Being the perfect desi girl (even if the popular song said 'Main Hoon Hi Nahi Iss Duniya Ki'), every Indian man could understand why Saif Ali Khan's character Gautam Kapoor left Veronica (Deepika) for Meera (Diana Penty). Happy Bhag Jayegi - Zee5
Diana Penty then found a film that was riding on her own shoulder. Despite the story being fairly good (one of Happy finding her man among potential suitors), Happy Bhag Jayegi left only a slight impression on viewers. The Mudassar Aziz directorial came as a surprise hit. Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran - Zee5
Diana Penty was cast as the female lead in John Abraham's movie Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran. She played an important role of Officer Captain Ambalika Bandyopadhyay in the movie. Her character is among the team that was responsible for testing nuclear weapons while ensuring that the US intelligence agencies do not learn about the plan. Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi - Zee5
The sequel to the 2016 film Happy Bhag Jayegi, Diana Penty returns as Happy, but this time around, there is a new Happy on the block. Sonakshi Sinha also steps in as Harpreet. This time, the movie received mixed reviews and did not meet the budget either. Salute - SonyLIV
Diana Penty made her Malayalam film debut in Rosshan Andrrews' Salute. She played the brief but powerful role of SI Aravind Karunakaran (Dulquer Salmaan)'s girlfriend Dia in the film. Although she plays a major role in his personal life, the character has no link to the primary case.

'I have a family, it's upsetting,' says Abhishek Bachchan as he reacts to all the 'misinformation' about him and social media trolling: 'People who put out negativity...'
Abhishek Bachchan has been in the business for 25 years now and knows the drill of this place. Moreover, while he belongs to a family of stars - being Amitabh Bachchan , Jaya Bachchan's son, he's quite used to the flip side of fame. However, Abhishek believes in letting his work to the talking and be known for just his work. The actor who's known for movies like 'Guru', 'Yuva', 'Bunty Aur Babli', 'Dhoom', and many more, has usually maintained a dignified silence towards anything that's written about him and his family. In recent times, there's also been a lot of misinformation and negativity around his life. During a chat with ETimes, when asked why he never chose to clarify any misinformation, here's how he reacted.' He said, "Because the person who is putting out the misinformation and the lies is not interested in clarity or in correction. Previously, things that were said about me, didn't affect me. Today, I have a family and it's very upsetting. Even if I clarify something, people will turn it around. Because negative news sells. You're not me. You don't live my life. You're not answerable to the people that I'm answerable to. People who put out such negativity, have to live with their conscience. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 2025 年最紓壓的農場遊戲!無需安裝 東加:島嶼農場 立即播放 Undo They need to deal with their conscience and answer to their maker. See, it's not just me. I don't get affected. I know what the rigmarole of this place is. There are families involved. I'll give you a very good example of this whole new fad of trolling." Opening up further on social media trolling and how his friend Sikandar Kher once took a stand for him, Abhishek said, "It's so convenient to sit anonymously behind a computer screen and write the most nasty things. You do realise you're hurting somebody. No matter how thick-skinned they are, it affects them. How would you like it if somebody did that to you? A couple of years ago, I put out some post and some troll said something very nasty about me. Sikandar, who's very close to me, a very close friend, felt hurt seeing that comment. So, he replied to the troll saying, 'I dare you to come and say this on my face'." He added, "So Sikandar put his address down and said, 'Come, I'm waiting. I dare you Mr Troll to come and tell me on my face, whatever you just wrote here. If you're going to say it on the internet, I dare you to come say it to me on my face.' That person clearly will never have the guts to come and tell me this on my face. If someone comes and tells me things on my face, then I will feel they have conviction. I will respect that." Abhishek Bachchan Gets Nostalgic About Bhopal And His ‘Nani's Kosha Mangsho'
Last Updated: Abhishek also revealed that his Nani is the real cook in the family and not his mom, Jaya Bachchan. Abhishek Bachchan is currently gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated film, Kaalidhar Laapata. Premiering on ZEE5 on July 4, the trailer of the gripping thriller has already created a stir online, building anticipation for its digital release. To keep the buzz soaring, the lead actor is leaving no stone unturned to promote the film. Now, Abhishek sat for an interview with an entertainment media portal where he opened up about his most cherished experiences and greatest learning while shooting for the film. In a candid interview with Zoom, Abhishek offered a personal insight from the shoot, which took place extensively in Bhopal, his maternal hometown. 'We shot extensively in and around Bhopal, which is my nanhiyal (maternal home). And I think the greatest learning for me during the making of this film was that you will never, ever, ever put on weight when your grandmother feeds you with love," Abhishek said with a smile. He fondly recalled returning to his grandmother's home every evening after wrap-up to eat home-cooked Kosha Mangsho. 'My Nani, by the grace of God, is 95 and still with us. She'd have Kosha Mangsho ready every night. It was all set, made with love, fed with love—and you'll never put on weight when it's like that." Abhishek also revealed that his Nani is the real cook in the family, joking, 'My mom is not a cook. So whenever I'm in Bhopal, it's a lot of fun—you get spoiled. So yes, my biggest learning is: when your Nani feeds you with love, you'll never put on weight." Beyond the film, the Guru actor also spoke about life in his star-studded joint family, which includes his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, father Amitabh Bachchan, mother Jaya Bachchan, and daughter Aaradhya. 'It's funny," he said, adding, 'We're all actors. We love hanging out together, and then suddenly everyone just goes back to their own spaces. That comes naturally because for actors it is important to spend time with yourself and get to know yourself. Self-discovery is something that we rarely do. It's essential, but I would never want to be a loner." Directed by Madhumita, Kaalidhar Laapata also stars Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub and promises an intense, emotional narrative packed with suspense. Looking ahead, Abhishek will next be seen in the action-thriller King. Set for release in 2026, the film has already generated significant buzz thanks to its star-studded cast. The film will be headlined by Shah Rukh Khan as a powerful assassin entrenched in the criminal underworld. Abhishek joins Suhana Khan and Abhay Verma, while reports suggest that Deepika Padukone, Arshad Warsi, Rani Mukerji and Anil Kapoor have also been roped in for pivotal roles. First Published:
