Kolkata: The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) issued a notice on Friday stating that OBC category details will be included in the application portal for the second State Level Selection Test (SLST).

The notice was issued in adherence to high court and Supreme Court orders on OBC reservation, indicating a 7% reservation to be given to the 66 OBC communities notified in the state before 2010. The form submission process started on June 17.
The OBC-related rules were framed by the Left Front govt in 1993. After 2010, over 100 OBC communities were included, and an additional 10% reservation was added to the existing 7%. Now, applicants can submit their certificates again. An official stated, "The notice was issued following the court's directive. If there are any further changes, we will consider them."

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has officially announced the Round 4 seat allotment results on its website. Candidates can now log in at to view their allotted institute and branch using their credentials. All students who receive a seat in Round 4 must pay the seat acceptance fee (SAF) by July 9 to confirm their admission. As per the latest guidelines: The SAF is ₹1,500 for candidates belonging to categories such as SC, ST, GEN-PwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD, and ST-PwD. For all other categories, the fee is ₹30,000. Out of this amount, ₹5,000 is the non-refundable JoSAA processing charge , while the rest will be adjusted against the final admission fee. Missed the March deadline? The Directorate of Education (DoE) in Delhi has opened the second round of Delhi government school admissions for Classes 10 and 12 . Starting July 9, eligible students living in Delhi can apply by submitting the form directly to the schools they're interested remember, this round does not include special institutions like RPVVs or Schools of CAN APPLY?Only students who live in Delhi can apply for these Delhi government school admissions 2024-25. The second round is for those who missed the earlier cycle held in March.
