Ben, 50, has already filmed the high-octane show, with the format already a hit in Australia.
The programme was originally thought to be debuting on UK screens in 2025.
According to TVZone, the show's launch date has been seemingly pushed back to 2026, due to scheduling.
ITV declined to comment.
The Summit's contestants will face challenges set by the mysterious Mountain's Keeper.
As well as this, they will be experiencing toughweather and terrain conditions.
Hoping to claim the prize, the cast vote each other off along the way.
Speaking previously, Ben said: "This series really has got it all; the contestants are going to be tested in every possible way as they try and take on the mountain.
"They'll need a serious amount of grit, determination and strategy if they want to reach The Summit...
"Most people know how much I love exercise and adventure but this is taking it to another level - I'll be donning my mountain gear to check in with them as they battle up the mountain and do their best to combat the demands of the ominous Mountain's Keeper.
Awkward moment Ben Shephard is forced to step in as Nadine Dorries 'plugs weight loss drug' live on This Morning
"I can't wait to see how they get on because anyone who reaches The Summit will have seriously earned every penny of the prize fund.'
Paul Mortimer, ITV Director of Reality Commissioning and Acquisitions, added: 'Not only is this a huge and complex endurance test for the contestants, overseen by the wonderful Ben Shephard, it's going to be an absolute nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat watch for viewers at home.
"Filled with cliffhangers, shocks, twists and turns it's going to keep people guessing from the very first step of the trek to that final summit.'
Earlier this month, The Sun revealed Good Morning Britain is making a controversial change .
The show is closing its US office entirely as part of ITV's cuts to Daytime.
A source dubbed the move 'a brazen pivot away from journalism.'
They added: 'They have completely axed their American operation, with the intensity of the news cycle in the US as it is - especially now, with a president who is making headlines daily.
"How does that make any sense?
'These cuts are a disaster in the making. The way they have gone about all of this is messy and it is devastating for us all.
'Why are they trying to reinvent the 'news' instead of finding better ways to reach audiences? It is a shame they are being so shortsighted and are losing genuine, good quality people.

Woman spends £250k to become Barbie – now her ‘before' photos are shocking the internet
Scroll down to see the shocking 'before' snaps PLASTIC FANTASIC Woman spends £250k to become Barbie – now her 'before' photos are shocking the internet Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A WOMAN who forked out a whopping £250,000 on plastic surgery has left people stunned after revealing what she used to look like. Appearing on the latest episode of former Love Island star Olivia Attwood's ITV documentary series Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection, the woman revealed why she chose to change her looks so drastically. But it was when Olivia met Alicia towards the end of the latest episode that people were left stunned. Alicia's £250,000 left her looking completely unrecognisable, with large lips, breasts and long platinum blonde hair to complete the look. The surgery fan even donned a pink outfit and accessories in a bid to look more like Barbie. At one point in the episode, Olivia was taken aback by a scrapbook full of old pictures of Alicia. Inside were pictures of Alicia taken when she was around 18-years-old, in 2016, but the girl looked nothing like the Alicia standing next to Olivia. Despite having the same blonde hair, the surgery fan looked much more natural, sporting a casual outfit and nothing too attention grabbing. Olivia gasped at the before pictures: "Oh. My. God." Then, speaking about if she knew her look would change so drastically, Alicia confessed: "To people who really knew me back then, knew what I was like, it wouldn't be a big shock because I've always sort of been quite outgoing and confident and sexual and stuff like that." In complete shock, Olivia continued to flip through the pictures, pinpointing different stages of Alicia's cosmetic journey, from breast implants, to a rhinoplasty. Olivia Attwood admits it was HER who warned Ella Rae Wise about ex Chris Hughes as she breaks silence But despite what some might assume, Alicia said her surgery has never stopped her from doing anything. "I choose my health and my looks over everything so I spend a lot of money on the stuff I put into my body such as food and that kind of thing. "And I spend a lot of money on getting the right kind of filler, the best products," she explained. The surgery lover also revealed that she'd never want to go back to her old self, even as she gets older. "I just have such a fun life and I would never want it to change," she said. 5 Alicia looked totally different in the old photos she showed to Olivia Credit: ITV 5 Alicia went under the knife to achieve her dream look Credit: ITV What are the risks of getting surgery abroad? IT'S important to do your research if you're thinking about having cosmetic surgery abroad. It can cost less than in the UK, but you need to weigh up potential savings against the potential risks. Safety standards in different countries may not be as high. No surgery is risk-free. Complications can happen after surgery in the UK or abroad. If you have complications after an operation in the UK, the surgeon is responsible for providing follow-up treatment. Overseas clinics may not provide follow-up treatment, or they may not provide it to the same standard as in the UK. Also, they may not have a healthcare professional in the UK you can visit if you have any problems. Source: NHS

In recent weeks, pals tell me, the issue has become a recurring argument between them - with Azuka unable to convince Alesha that marriage is the way forward for them. Alesha, 46, was previously married to rapper MC Harvey but their year-long union ended in heartbreak after his affair with singer Javine Hilton. A friend said: 'Azuka wants Alesha to be his wife and thinks marriage is the way forward for them after everything that has happened over the past six months. 'He has proposed but to no avail. 'It's becoming an argument that keeps coming up between them and Azuka is finding it hard to move past it. 'He is a proud man and wants Alesha to be his wife. His parents have said the same and think marriage is the way forward. They've applied some pressure too, which has led to rows between Alesha and Azuka. 'It's been a difficult six months but this feels like another bump in the road they can't get past.' Over a decade ago, Alesha revealed that Azuka had proposed to her multiple times but joked he wasn't serious. Speaking about their relationship on Piers Morgan's Life Stories programme, she said: 'He's asked me about five times but I won't take him seriously. Alesha Dixon SPLITS from father of her two kids after 12 years - but reveals why they're still living together 'He asks me when he's jokey and I won't take him seriously until he does it properly.' Those close to Azuka say he has since proposed properly but that Alesha has stonewalled his attempts. 'Azuka says he can't work out why Alesha won't marry him,' the friend said. 'He thinks this could be the making of them and something that would help them properly move past everything that has happened. 'It's become a bit of a stalemate again. He's leaning on his friends for support but it's difficult for him.' 6 Azuka and Alesha at Ant McPartlin's wedding but the former Mis-Teeq singer seems to be stalling on a marriage to her beau Credit: Splash Alesha previously called Azuka her 'best friend' and said she had found the love of her life in the dancer. But then in November last year, those close to Alesha said she had confided in them that their relationship had run its course. STAR'S BREAK-UP This March Alesha confirmed the pair had split but said they were living together for the sake of their children. A month later, those close to the couple confirmed they were giving their romance another try. A close source said: 'They went through a really rocky patch and decided to call it a day. It had been difficult for a long time and Alesha just couldn't see a way forward. 'AZ even moved out to a hotel for a while, despite the fact they were co-parenting. 'But there is still a huge amount of feeling between them. They've been together for 12 years and have two beautiful children. 'So they have decided to give it one last try. "They both desperately want to be a family again and are going to do all it takes to make it work.' WEDDING CONFLICT At the time, those close to Alesha admitted they 'weren't convinced' their relationship would last. And now Azuka's friends say they feel the same - with the talk of weddings driving a wedge between them. One added: 'Without a wedding on the horizon, Azuka doesn't know what to do. 'He wants Alesha to be his wife but she isn't budging. 'It's another hurdle they've come up against and it seems there isn't a way they can move past it.' Who is Alesha Dixon's partner Azuka Ononye? Azuka Ononye was born December 14, 1980 and is best known for his work as a dancer, creator director and choreographer. EXCLUSIVE This Morning star who was engaged for just 24 hours before discovering her fiancé had cheated is paired with grieving widower as First Dates returns with most tear-jerking premiere yet
A This Morning star is paired with a grieving widower in Friday's episode of Channel 4 's First Dates. Life coach Michelle Elman, 32 - who is a relationship expert who reguarly contributes to the ITV show - goes on a date with a man called Greg with a heartbreaking story himself. Michelle hit headlines last year when she revealed she had split from her fiance after discovering he cheated on the same day he proposed. She enjoys some one-on-one time with Greg and they both share an emotional moment when he explains a bit about himself and his dating past. Although he lost his girlfriend Anna in a car accident, he still manages to see some positives, as she saved lives due to the fact that she was an organ donor. He goes on to explain that he feels like he is now ready to look for love again. The TV star - who is a relationship expert who reguarly contributes to the ITV show - goes on a date with a man called Greg with a heartbreaking story himself In an exclusive sneak peek of tomorrow's instalment, Greg recalls his heartbreak and says: 'Monday morning, I got up for work, gave her a kiss, said bye, I love you, she shot up out of bed and gave me another kiss and a hug... 'That was the last time I saw her.' Then his date with Michelle appears on screen. He tells Michelle: 'She was on her way to work, drifted onto the other said and had a head on with a taxi driver...' Greg continued the story and says to the camera: 'I got a phone call [which] said Anna has been in a car accident. She'd damaged all the back of her brain that told her how to breathe. 'Your life is turned upside down... We kept her on a machine for 24 hours just in case there was a miracle.' Michelle tells him: 'I don't even know how you deal with that.' Greg recalls: 'I got a phone call said Anna has been in a car accident. She'd damaged all the back of her brain that told her how to breathe...' He replies: 'You have to, don't you? 'There's a lot of good that has come from it, to be fair. 'She was on the organ donors list. 'She saved six people's lives which is amazing.' He later tells camera: 'So life does go on, and it does go on. 'So yeah... I'm ready. I'm at that stage. It's time.' Back in April last year, Michelle tearfully opened up about how she ended her engagement with her boyfriend of nearly three years after just 24 hours. She had found out he had cheated on her. Michelle became a motivational coach after living through her own childhood experiences of life-threatening health problems, long stays in hospital and fifteen complex surgeries that left her scarred, both mentally and physically. She had a brain tumour, a punctured intestine, an obstructed bowel, a cyst in her brain and a condition called hydrocephalus - where fluid builds up in the brain, causing, dangerous pressure that can be fatal if untreated. Speaking on This Morning about the situation, Michelle said: 'I was engaged and then a woman reached out and asked if he was my fiancé. 'I ended up speaking to her for an hour on the phone. He was on a dating app, he was on a business trip and yeah…' She added of the deceit: 'I fully back myself. I am emotionally intelligent, smart, intelligent woman. I have every tool in my tool kit to notice red flags. If someone wants to lie to you they will. 'Wholeheartedly I did not see any red flags. As a red flag the second you go on their phone, the relationship is gone. The trust is gone.'
