2 people taken to hospital after separate crashes involving motorcycles in Winnipeg
Two people were taken to hospital after separate crashes involving motorcycles in Winnipeg Thursday night. One person was taken to hospital in unstable condition after a crash between a motorcycle and a car at around 9:40 p.m. on Osborne Street near Don Avenue, Winnipeg police said. The person has since been upgraded to stable, a police spokesperson said in an email Friday morning. Emergency responders were on scene Thursday evening. A badly damaged car with airbags deployed was parked on the side of the road, while a motorcycle missing its front wheel sat nearby. Earlier that evening, a motorcyclist was airlifted after a collision near the westbound Perimeter Highway and Pembina Highway. Police said the single-vehicle crash happened at around 7:30 p.m. A man in his early 20 was airlifted to hospital in critical condition. A news release issued Friday around noon said he remained unstable with serious injuries.
