Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor's Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan released in theatres on July 11. Prior to the film's premiere, the creators hosted a private screening attended by some of the most popular Bollywood stars. Among others, Raveena Tandon was seen at the screening and the paparazzi caught the actress having a candid chat with Vikrant at the event. The duo were seen discussing something and the actor also thanked her for attending the screening.
Raveena Tandon was seen in a semi formal yellow dress while Vikrant was seen in a beige suit with a white shirt. Another video from the event showed Vikrant making his grand entry with wife Sheetal by his side. The couple posed for the cameras, and people were quite impressed by Vikrant's kind gesture. Before smiling for the camera, he was seen straightening his wife's hair.

In Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, Shanaya Kapoor plays a theatrical artist, while Vikrant plays a blind musician. Santosh Singh directed the film, which is based on Ruskin Bond's short tale The Eyes Have It. The film, produced by Zed Studios, Mini Films, and Open Window Films, competes at the box office with Maalik, a gangster drama starring Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chhillar.
Moving on, Vikrant Massey is reported to have joined the cast of White, an ambitious biopic based on the life and humanitarian activity of spiritual guru Shri Ravi Shankar. The film is expected to begin production in August 2025 with an international group that previously worked on the critically acclaimed series Narcos.
As per a Pinkvilla report, White will be shot in Colombia from start to finish, with around 90 percent of the film taking place on international land. The remaining scenes are set to be shot at a Mumbai studio. According to reports, Vikrant has commenced intense reading sessions and workshops with the writing and direction teams in order to play Shri Shri Ravi Shankar with nuance and sincerity.
On the other hand, after her debut movie, Shanaya will also be part of Bejoy Nambiar's directorial survival thriller titled Tu Yaa Main, where she will star alongside Adarsh Gourav.

‘I Have No Words': Honey Trehan Frustrated As Diljit's Punjab '95 Remains Stuck With CBFC
Last Updated: Honey Trehan, the director of Diljit Dosanjh starrer Punjab '95 said that CBFC objected to the mention of Indira Gandhi's name in the film, and questioned the logic behind this. Honey Trehan's film 'Punjab '95', starring Diljit Dosanjh as human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, has been stuck with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) since December 2022. The CBFC demanded 127 cuts, but there has been no further update, filmmaker Honey Trehan told NDTV. He stated that if the 127 cuts were made, only the trailer would remain. He disagreed with the cuts and said that he would remove his name from the film if they were enforced. He said that he understood the pressure on producers to make these cuts but felt the film would no longer reflect his direction. While speaking with NDTV, Honey Trehan pointed out some demands by the CBFC, such as removing 'Punjab' from the film's title despite it being set in Punjab. 'The story is set in Punjab. Why would any sensible person remove 'Punjab' from the title itself? They are Punjabi cops wearing a turban, and they tell me to call them 'Police' and not 'Punjab Police'. Where is the logic?" he questioned. He also added, 'They also said don't take Indira Gandhi's name. Okay, so then what should I call her? There's a film called Emergency that has been made on her whole life, and I can't even have one person take her name in the film? Why such partiality?" Trehan clarified that his film focuses on history and Jaswant Singh Khalra's human rights struggle, not on any political party. Having waited two and a half years, Trehan expressed his frustration over the lack of artistic freedom. 'I have waited and been patient for two and a half years. If you can't express through your art, then where is the democracy? I have no words. This is how it is right now. Beyond a point, it's in nobody's control," he said. Earlier, Jaswant Singh Khalra's wife, Paramjit Kaur Khalra, had fiercely opposed the censor board's demand for cuts, stating that the film, which was created with the family's consent, should be released unaltered. Box Office: Maalik sees a nominal jump on Saturday; Rajkummar Rao starrer collects Rs 4.85 crore on Day 2
Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chhillar's Maalik, directed by Pulkit, added Rs 4.75 - 5 crore net in India on day 2, after a low Rs 3.50 crore net on day 1. The growth in collections from Friday is a mediocre 35 percent. With a better day 1, this growth percentage would not be judged as critically as it is being judged in this scenario. The two day collections of Maalik stand at Rs 8.35 crore and the weekend numbers should be around Rs 13.50 crore net or so. In our analysis of Maalik's Economics, we came to a deduction that the movie requires Rs 23 crore as theatrical share to ensure no one loses money. Given the film's current trajectory, the producers are staring at a Rs 8-10 crore loss.
