Eagles QB Jalen Hurts writes football-based children's book
Super Bowl-winning quarterback Jalen Hurts is releasing his first children's book.
Hurts announced the new work on social media Monday, posting a photo of the cover on X.
It's called "Better Than a Touchdown" and is set to be released March 10. Pre-orders are available now.
"It's always been a dream of mine to have my own children's book and today, that dream finally comes true," Hurts said in a video posted to X by the Philadelphia Eagles.
"... With this book, I'm excited to extend some of my lessons learned throughout my journey to the next generation and hopefully it strikes a chord of resilience and encourages our kids, the reader, whomever, to believe in themselves. I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for the lessons learned in mentorships and books just like mine."
The book was illustrated by Canadian artist Nneka Myers.
Hurts, 26, is a two-time Pro Bowl selection. He led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX in February.

The quarterback is the only player in NFL history to win multiple MVP awards without a Super Bowl. Could this be the year that changes? Bleacher Report believes the pressure is on to the tune of 9 out of 10 on their scale - which was the second-highest rating in the league, just behind the reigning champion Philadelphia Eagles. "Since Lamar Jackson took over as Baltimore's starting quarterback in 2018, the Ravens have made the playoffs in six out of seven years. Baltimore has lost by one possession in the last three playoffs, most recently last season when a dropped Mark Andrews two-point conversion would have tied the game in the waning moments. Now, looking ahead to the 2025 season, the Buccaneers are considered NFC dark horses, with some thinking that, given the talent at Baker's disposal, a Super Bowl run isn't out of the realm of possibility for this team. Other photos in the carousel show him embracing the Texas lifestyle, like jogging on his property, a pair of sneaker-infused cowboy boots, and a rainy shot of his four-wheeler. In his usual move, the caption is some throwaway lyrics, which read, ' I'm wide awake for the nights that separate the type who get to it til they get it right from the type who just …type.' Drake showing off his gym gains is something he's done before, but since the beef reignited, unfounded allegations that he underwent liposuction or a tummy tuck are back making the rounds. 'Drake fake abs look like the precut cookie dough squares omg,' another chimed in.
