"Sources: The Packers and Bills held trade talks this offseason centered around CB Jaire Alexander, but talks ultimately fell through and Buffalo moved on," he wrote on X.
"It's unclear if the Bills will revisit things now that Alexander has been released — especially since they spent a first-round pick on Maxwell Hairston — but they were a team that had shown real interest."
Alexander has only been able to play in seven games each of the last two years. He has seen his career completely derailed by injuries.
Last season in just seven games, Alexander showed why he's still so valued. He recorded 16 total tackles to go along with a fumble recovery, two interceptions, a defensive touchdown, and seven defended passes. Those numbers show what he's still capable of providing when healthy.
For a team like Buffalo, who is a top-tier Super Bowl contender, adding Alexander could be the final piece of the puzzle. In fact, the Bills do have a need at the cornerback position.
