A 25-year-old YouTuber from Moradabad has been arrested after he uploaded a video for allegedly mocking Hindu saints and sages with abusive language. Identified as Mohammad Amir, the man was later released on bail after he appeared in a court. According to an official, he was arrested after he uploaded a video dressed as a priest and used objectionable language. 'In his latest upload, he dressed as a sadhu and used objectionable and vulgar language, leading to significant criticism from the local populace," Superintendent of Police (City) Ran Vijay Singh said. He was arrested Saturday for 'spreading objectionable content and hurting religious sentiments," he added. An FIR was filed against the YouTuber under BNS sections 197-1 (imputations prejudicial to national integration), 353-2 (public mischief), 352 ( breach of peace), and relevant provisions of the IT Act. Three held with cough syrup, sedatives in Odisha's Bargarh
BARGARH: In another significant crackdown on illegal drug trade, Bargarh Town police seized a massive cache of codeine-laced cough syrup bottles and sedative tablets during an early morning raid in Bisipada area on Saturday. Acting on intelligence inputs, a team led by sub-inspector Alok Kumar Mahalik raided a location and apprehended three persons allegedly involved in the illegal trade. It led to recovery of 1,970 sealed bottles of Wincerex and Eskuf cough syrup, commonly misused for intoxication besides 1,000 Nitrosun tablets, a sedative regulated under the NDPS Act. Police also seized two mobile phones, and two two-wheelers. used for transportation The three arrested were identified as Uttam Sindria (26), Ritik Gartia (22) and Rohit Gartia (26). During investigation, police found that accused Uttam is a history-sheeter with eight previous cases registered against him under Town police limits. Rohit has two prior cases, while Ritik Gartia has no past criminal antecedents. A case has been registered under sections 111/61 (2)/3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 21 (b) and 29 of the NDPS Act, said SDPO,0 P Tripathy. Police said further investigation is underway to identify the source of the contraband and bust the larger network behind the illicit supply chain. On Monday, Town Police had arrested seven individuals and seized 2,171 bottles of cough syrup during a pre-dawn raid in the same area.

Two held in Rs 5.35 lakh Motihari robbery case, cash recovered
Patna: With the arrested of two people, Motihari Police on Saturday cracked the robbery case, involving the loot of Rs 5.35 lakh from a CSP (customer service point) operator under Ramgarhwa police station area of East Champaran district, within 24 hours. Raxaul SDPO Manish Anand revealed, "Two accused, identified as Munna Pandey and Deepak Chauvey, were apprehended. The police recovered Rs 5.35 lakh in cash, two country-made pistols, and four live cartridges from them." The CSP operator was robbed by four bike-borne miscreants while returning to his centre with cash from the bank on Friday evening. "Two other perons involved in the crime are being searched for, and their arrest is expected soon," the SDPO added.
