X Factor legend ‘Big Tony' tragically dies age 64
Mr Adkins was best known for working as Simon Cowell's personal bodyguard for eight years during his time on The X Factor, where he became a familiar face to fans of the show.
Often seen stepping in to de-escalate tense moments, viewers will remember him calmly escorting emotional or unruly contestants out of the audition room when things didn't go to plan.
After his time on the hit talent show, Mr Adkins gave fans a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of life with Cowell during an interview with The Mirror.
'He's a very private person. He doesn't give much away. You never see him drunk or out of control,' Mr Adkins said of Cowell.
'Simon is vain, he does his hair all the time. If there are five breaks in filming, then Simon will do his hair five times.
'And I think he has about 20 identical T-shirts. I remember once he had a hole-in-one, so he just reached into a bag and pulled out another from a big pile.'
Beyond the glitz of television, Mr Adkins was also remembered as a dedicated clubman and friend. Hammersmith and Fulham RFC, where he was a beloved member, confirmed he passed away while on tour with the club in Poland on Easter Sunday. Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon played disgusting pranks after rows
Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon would play gross pranks on each other after an argument, according to Lita Ford. The Runaways star was managed by Sharon when she embarked on her solo career so the musician became good friends with her as well as her Black Sabbath rocker husband - and Lita has recalled the disgusting lengths the couple would go to get revenge after they'd had a falling out. She told the Guardian newspaper: "With Sharon being my manager, Ozzy was always there. They were crazy. The stuff they did to each other – it wasn't like any other relationship I've ever known. "They were perfect for each other, that's for sure, because he could dish it out and she could dish it out even bigger. "She and Ozzy would play games with each other to let the other know they've p***** them off. You'd walk through a hotel and you'd see a pair of shoes out in the hallway, and you'd think: I wonder why Ozzy's shoes are there? "Well, Sharon had had enough of him, and she'd c****** in his shoes. And then of course he would c*** in her shoes at a later date. He'd get her back." Lita also recalled a time when she introduced Sharon and Ozzy to her parents over an Easter meal - revealing the rocker downed a whole bottle of wine and then accidentally threw the roast lamb on the floor. She explained: "They came to my parents' house one day for Easter dinner, and my mom had roasted a leg of lamb. Sharon and Ozzy come in, and Ozzy chugs a bottle of wine. "He doesn't drink the wine in a glass, he just drinks it out of the bottle, like it's the last little bit of fluid he's ever going to taste. "And he starts sinking lower and lower into the chair until the wine's gone. And then my father asks Ozzy to cut the lamb. Ozzy starts, but it slips off the plate and goes underneath the table. Ozzy says: 'I'm sorry, I don't eat meat!' My dad laughed his a** off." Ozzy died on Tuesday (22.07.25) at the age of 76 just two weeks after he reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates for their big Back To The Beginning concert in their hometown of Birmingham, England - and Lita says the rocker went out "like a king". She added: "Whether he could stand up and walk or not, he still delivered the songs, and the band killed it. I hate to say it, but it's kind of the way to go: like a king. They call him the Prince of Darkness, but maybe he's a bit bigger than that now."

Brisbane grandfather scores big with $31 million lotto win
A Brisbane grandfather has become an overnight multi-millionaire after winning the entire Powerball jackpot. The Wynnum man has had an ectatic start to his weekend after he was informed on Friday that he had scored an eye watering $31,140,405.47. The man was left in disbelief after being told he held the only division one winning entry. 'Holy sh**! Wow. Unbelievable!' he said. 'Oh, my goodness. Words can't explain how I'm feeling right now. Dear, dear, dear.' After discovering the scope of his winnings, the man said the sum will do 'so much' for his family. 'It'll set up my kids and grandkids,' he said. 'Never in a million years did I think I would get this call. 'I'm retired myself. I've lived a happy life, and I've been lucky enough to tick most things off my bucket list, so this will be used more for helping others.' Speaking to The Lott over the phone, the man said he just 'couldn't believe it' and that the most he had ever won was a chocolate Easter basket. 'These are my numbers I've played for years,' he said. 'I chose them a long time ago now. I usually play Saturday Gold Lotto, but sometimes I play Powerball when it has a higher jackpot. 'It's funny because I also bought a Set for Life ticket and thought, 'Wow, it'd be nice to get that', but this is even better! 'You've made my day. You've made my week. You've made my kids' lifetime! 'Now, I'm going to have a quiet day, letting reality set in.' His winning marked PowerHit entry was purchased online on the Lott website.

Charli XCX quietly marries musical star in London
Charli XCX has married the drummer of The 1975 in London in front of a small group of family and friends with sources saying it was a 'secluded, no expense spared' celebration. The 32-year-old Brit tied the knot with George Daniel at the weekend with a video of the couple on their special day going viral. The Apple singer wowed in a low-cut white mini-dress, wore her hair down with a lengthy veil and even donned her trademark Brat sunglasses at the intimate ceremony at the Hackney Town Hall. According to The Mirror, there were only 20 friends and family in attendance, including Daniel's bandmates Ross MacDonald and Adam Hann. Frontman Matty Healy wasn't said to be there. Credit: AKMG / BACKGRID As for the 35-year-old sticksman's attire, the groom opted for a casual black suit with an off-grey shirt underneath, plus a white flower in his jacket to match his wife's bouquet. There had been reports that the pair were planning a lavish Sicily wedding later this year. An insider told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: 'Charli and George fell in love with Sicily and knew they wanted to get married there. 'It's incredibly secluded and romantic. There will be no expense spared. It's costing tens of thousands of pounds and visually it will be mesmerising. 'Charli and George said they wanted a massive party and there are no restrictions on when the bar has to close, so it can go on all night.' The source added: 'They have both had such a busy summer with massive shows, but from mid-August they're able to slow down and focus on their big day. 'It's going to be pretty star-studded too, with plenty of their celeb mates making the journey over to Sicily to watch them say 'I do'. Charli and George are so excited to become man and wife.' However, Charli revealed earlier this year that she was feeling relaxed about her wedding plans and that she and Daniel 'just want to have a party'. The 360 singer said: 'We're both very chill and we kind of just want to have a party. 'Neither of us are particularly formal about marriage or care about the formalities of the ceremony or whatever. 'We just want to be together forever and have a party with our friends.' The pair got engaged in November 2023 after one year of dating.
