Now, the actor is awaiting the special screening of the uncut version of his iconic film, Sholay, scheduled on June 27 in Bologna, Italy, as part of the Il Cinema Ritrovato Festival.
This restored version includes the original conclusion, in which Thakur kills Gabbar Singh. This was removed from the theatrical cut by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and some never-before-seen deleted scenes.
Sholay
Directed by Ramesh Sippy, the film was released in 1975 and gained the title of a cult classic and left an indelible mark. The main plot of the film revolves around Jai and Veeru, two petty criminals hired by former police officer Thakur Baldev Singh to capture the dacoit Gabbar Singh, who terrorised Thakur's village and family. The film also featured stars like Dharmendra, Hema Malini, late actors Amjad Khan and Sanjeev Kumar in the leads. It is streaming on Prime Video.
Don
It was Amitabh Bachchan who gave us the iconic dialogue 'Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, namumkin hai.' Directed by Chandra Barot, the film was released in 1978 and featured Big B in a double role – Don, who is the most wanted man, and his lookalike Vijay. ‘The Family Man 3' first glimpse: Jaideep Ahlawat, Nimrat Kaur join action thriller series
Actors Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur are the new nemesis of Manoj Bajpayee's spy Srikant Tiwary in the upcoming third season of The Family, streaming service Prime Video has announced.
