Collector asks quarry, crusher units to apply for transit pass to transport M-sand, gravel
As per the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Illegal Mining Transportation and Storage of Minerals and Mineral Dealers Rules, 2011, quarry and crusher units required appropriate permission from the district administration for storing M-sand and gravel and also for selling them in market.
Further, as the transit pass system for transporting M-sand and gravel comes into effect from June 14, quarry and crusher units have been instructed to furnish the required details on www.mimas.tn.gov.in .
Following the registration, a free transit pass would be issued which could be used for transporting M-sand and gravel materials.

Gadwall: District Collector B.M. Santosh has unveiled the District Annual Credit Plan for 2025–26, setting a comprehensive loan target of ₹6,472.29 crores, and instructed banks to ensure prompt and wide-ranging loan disbursement, especially to farmers under crop and allied sector schemes. The announcement came during the District Consultative Committee (DCC) / District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting held on Thursday at the Conference Hall of the Collectorate. The session brought together key banking officials and representatives from various departments to coordinate credit deployment in alignment with district-level priorities. Speaking at the meeting, Collector Santosh emphasized the importance of adhering to the stipulated loan targets and urged banks to actively extend crop loans, employment unit loans, loans to micro and small enterprises (MSMEs), educational loans, housing loans, and other priority sector advances to eligible underprivileged populations. He particularly stressed on accelerating the sanctioning of crop loans and agricultural infrastructure loans, such as those for food processing units, warehouses, and cold storage facilities—all vital to strengthening the agri economy. To boost farmers' awareness about available credit options, the Collector proposed that awareness campaigns be held in all village-level Rythu Vedikas (Farmer Platforms) in collaboration with agricultural officers and bank staff. He also announced that a district-level awareness program on bank loans for farmers would be conducted at the Collectorate in the first week of July. PMFME Subsidy Disbursement & Loan Clearance for Small Businesses Under the Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme, the Collector directed bankers to immediately release the 35% subsidy amounting to ₹27.60 lakhs for 18 sanctioned units in the district. He also called for the speedy verification and resolution of pending loan applications from small business units, ensuring entrepreneurs are not held up due to delays. Educational & Housing Loan Focus Highlighting the need for balanced development, the Collector urged banks to demonstrate significant progress in the sanctioning of education and housing loans, areas where he felt more work needed to be done. He directed all banks to take necessary action to ensure at least 75% of overall targets across all sectors are achieved. Sector-wise Allocation in the 2025–26 Credit Plan Unveiling the district's credit plan for the year, Collector Santosh detailed the sectoral allocations as follows: Agriculture and Allied Activities: ₹4,945.14 crores Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs): ₹606 crores Other Priority Sectors: ₹192.84 crores Education Loans: ₹16.80 crores Housing Loans: ₹124.22 crores He mentioned that this year's target marks an increase of ₹1,221.21 crores over the previous year, signaling a strong push for inclusive credit growth. Annual credit plan with Rs 21,262 cr released
Eluru: District collector K Vetriselvi released the annual credit plan for Eluru district for the financial year 2025-26 with an outlay of Rs 21,262 crore at the district level bankers' meeting at the Collectorate here on Tuesday. She said the annual credit plan for the year 2025-26 was Rs 3,000 crore more than the previous year. In the annual plan, Rs 18,243 crore was allocated for priority sectors. Out of this, Rs 8,396 crore was allocated for agricultural short-term loans, Rs 4,338 crore for agricultural term loans (agricultural allied sectors), Rs 1,111 crore for agricultural infrastructure, Rs 3,343 crore for micro, small and medium enterprises, and Rs 1,055 crore for other priority sectors. Last year, Rs 18,256 crore was allocated for other priority sectors. As against the target, Rs 21,816 crores, constituting 119 per cent of the target has been achieved. Bankers should work towards achieving 100 per cent of the targets set for the respective sectors. The Collector suggested that bankers should take the initiative in providing loans to tenant farmers in large quantities. YSRCP youth wing flays govt's indifference towards students
Chittoor: Protesting the State government's 'indifference' towards students and unemployed youth, the YSRCP youth wing held a protest rally (Poru Bata) from Amul Dairy to the Collectorate in Chittoor and submitted a memorandum to district in-charge Collector G Vidyadhari on Monday. The leaders criticised the NDA government for failing to create new jobs and not delivering on its promise of unemployment allowance among other things. Speaking on the occasion, Regional Coordinator Hemant Reddy criticised the coalition government for failing to create new jobs, not delivering on its promise of unemployment allowance, and even removing existing jobs, thereby jeopardising the livelihoods of lakhs. He alleged that vital schemes like Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena, which supported lakhs of students from poor families, have been neglected, pushing families into debt. He stated that Rs 3,900 crore is required for fee reimbursement and hostel maintenance for 2024–25, but only Rs 2,600 crore has been allocated in the budget for 2025–26, leaving a shortfall. The protestors demanded immediate release of the pending Rs 7,800 crore funds. The leaders also condemned mass layoffs including 2.66 lakh village volunteers, 18,000 AP Beverages employees, 2,000 AP FiberNet workers, and field assistants under the employment guarantee scheme. They decried the halting of recruitment of medical specialists and the cancellation of mobile dispensing vehicles, affecting 20,000 families. Chittoor youth president DC Manoj Reddy demanded the release of a Job Calendar and immediate notifications for government posts. He pointed out that despite a promise of Rs 3,000 monthly unemployment allowance, the government has not allocated a single rupee over two budgets. Several youth wing state and constituency leaders including Chenga Reddy, Kishore, Dorababu among others participated in the demonstration.
