Hum Paanch Fame Actress Vandana Pathak Set For Her TV Comeback: All You Need To Know

India.com25-06-2025
New Delhi: In a society where relationships are often shaped by tradition and societal norms, where age, financial status, and social standing play pivotal roles, Zee TV is set to challenge conventions with its latest fiction show, Tumm Se Tumm Tak. The channel, known for its progressive storytelling and emotionally resonant narratives, introduces an unconventional love story that dares to ask: can love transcend societal expectations?
At the heart of Tumm Se Tumm Tak lies the striking connection between two individuals from vastly different worlds, Anu, a spirited 19-year-old from a humble background, and Aryavardhan, a 46-year-old disciplined, self-made business tycoon. Their evolving bond pushes against traditional barriers, raising questions about love, age differences, and acceptance in modern India.
Niharika Chouksey and Sharad Kelkar take on the lead roles of Anu and Aryavardhan, bringing emotional depth and authenticity to the layered narrative. Adding further gravitas to the series is the much-anticipated return of veteran actor Vandana Pathak, who joins the cast after a five-year break from television. She will portray Gayatri Devi, a graceful yet strong-willed matriarch devoted to her family and especially to Aryavardhan's happiness.
Reflecting on her return, Vandana Pathak shared, "Zee TV feels like an extension of my home and heart — it's where my journey on television began with Hum Paanch nearly three decades ago. That show gave me not just recognition, but also memories that have stayed with me even today. Coming back to the same channel after all these years of my acting journey feels deeply emotional. In fact, before a five-year hiatus from television, my last show was on Zee Tv!! So for me to come back after five years, I was waiting for something meaningful, and Tumm Se Tumm Tak felt just right. The story is beautiful, layered, and full of heart, and the character of Gayatri Devi spoke to me the moment I read about her. I see her strength, her grace, her quiet power, and I feel privileged to bring her to life. I'm truly looking forward to stepping onto the sets, reconnecting with the audience, and creating something special once again. I just hope the viewers welcome me back with the same warmth and love they've given me throughout my career, it means everything to me."

'Father Refused To Go To Pakistan': Naseeruddin Shah After Standing Up For Diljit Dosanjh

Last Updated: Amid backlash over his support for Diljit Dosanjh in the Sardaar Ji 3 row, Naseeruddin Shah says he doesn't need to prove his patriotism to anyone. Naseeruddin Shah has been in the headlines after coming out in support of Diljit Dosanjh over Sardaar Ji 3, which stars Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Naseer, who had posted on Facebook in support of Dosanjh, has now stated that he doesn't have to prove his love for this country to anyone. In a heartfelt opinion piece for The Indian Express, Naseeruddin Shah shared that his father refused to go to Pakistan with his brother and was quite certain about staying back. He wrote, 'I was born in India into the fifth generation of a Muslim family, my wife into an even older Hindu one, and we hope our children can be a combination of the best of both. My father refused to go to Pakistan when his brothers left; he was certain India had a future for us, just as I feel it does for my offspring. This is a dream that cannot be abandoned." Earlier, Naseeruddin had come forward to back Diljit, who has been receiving flak for his association with a Pakistani co-star. 'I STAND FIRMLY WITH DILJIT," Naseeruddin had written. 'The dirty tricks deptt of Jumla Party has been awaiting a chance to attack him. They think they've got it at last. He was not responsible for the casting of the film — the director was." He continued, 'But no one knows who he is, whereas Diljit is known the world over, and he agreed to the cast because his mind is not poisoned. What these goons want is to put an end to personal interaction between the people of India and Pakistan. I have close relatives and some dear friends there, and no one can stop me from meeting them or sending them love whenever I feel like it. And my response to those who will say 'Go to Pakistan' is 'GO TO KAILASA'." Later, when his post was taken down and netizens believed he had indeed removed it, the actor clarified, 'I have NOT deleted my post about Diljit Dosanjh. I don't care a fiddler's fart for backlash." Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit also reacted to Naseeruddin's remarks. Speaking to ANI, he said, 'We are not surprised, not shocked, by Naseeruddin Shah's response to Diljit Dosanjh's entire episode. The educated, versatile actor, senior person in the industry, calling us goons proves the frustration and kind of restlessness of Naseeruddin Shah." First Published:

Despite the social media backlash, he remains firm in his stance. In the Facebook post, Naseeruddin had written: 'What these goons want is to put an end to personal interaction between the people of India and Pakistan. I have close relatives and some dear friends there and no one can stop me from meeting them or sending them love whenever I feel like it. And my response to those who will say 'Go to Pakistan' is 'GO TO KAILASA'.' His comments supporting Diljit comes amidst the rising tensions in the Indian Film Industry regarding the participation of Pakistani actors. With the exception of India, Sardaar Ji 3, which stars Diljit and Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, is being released worldwide. The producers of the movie, Diljit among them, made the decision, which sparked discussion about the unofficial ban on Pakistani talent in the wake of the Pahalgam incident. Concurrently, there was growing speculation that Diljit would be dropped from future projects, such as Border 2. After careful consideration, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has permitted T-Series producer Bhushan Kumar to finish the remaining filming with the actor, despite Bhushan's public declaration that he will not collaborate with Dosanjh on any upcoming projects.
