The Ambassador was welcomed by CSS Director, Prof. Hasan Al Momani, along with members of the diplomatic delegation including Max Emanuel Manfeller, First Secretary for Political Affairs at the Embassy, and Lina Graziano, Head of the Culture and Media Department.
The meeting focused on prospects for strengthening collaboration between the Center and prominent German research institutions. Discussions explored potential joint research initiatives, structured partnerships, and opportunities for mutual exchange of expertise in support of evidence-based policymaking and long-term strategic dialogue.
Al Momani reviewed the Center's ongoing efforts to establish a comprehensive institutional platform dedicated to soft power and public diplomacy. As part of this initiative, the Center plans to launch an annual international conference addressing themes of regional and global significance, including regional security, geopolitics, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
The two sides exchanged views on recent regional and global developments, highlighting Jordan's diplomatic role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in promoting peace, de-escalation, and constructive approaches to regional crises.
Al Momani emphasized Jordan's inclusive and strategic outlook in addressing regional challenges, reaffirming the Kingdom's enduring commitment to Arab and Islamic causes, its humanitarian leadership, and its pursuit of regional stability through strategic foresight and scientifically informed policymaking.
For his part, Ambassador von Moltke commended the Center's pivotal role in producing policy-relevant research and its contribution to advancing interdisciplinary analysis of complex issues. He expressed his country's keen interest in expanding cooperation with CSS, particularly in areas at the intersection of diplomacy, research, and strategic planning.

At least 20 Palestinian civilians killed in Gaza amid worsening humanitarian crisis
Ammon News - At least 20 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in a series of Israeli air and artillery strikes targeting multiple areas across the Gaza Strip since early Tuesday morning, according to medical sources. The sources reported widespread destruction of residential buildings and homes, as emergency crews continued efforts to retrieve victims and provide medical assistance under increasingly dire humanitarian conditions and severe shortages of medical and relief supplies. Seven civilians were reportedly shot dead by Israeli forces while waiting for humanitarian aid in central Gaza — a tragic incident that underscores the growing desperation and danger faced by residents under blockade. In Gaza City's al-Zaytoun neighborhood, one person was killed and others injured in a targeted shelling, while another civilian was killed in a separate strike in central Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Israeli forces also destroyed an entire residential block in the town of al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis, causing massive devastation and displacing numerous families. Heavy artillery shelling continued in eastern Gaza City, particularly along al-Sikka Street in the al-Zaytoun area, accompanied by gunfire from Israeli military vehicles.

Thai court suspends PM from duty pending case seeking her dismissal
Ammon News - Thailand's Constitutional Court on Tuesday suspended Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra from duty pending a case seeking her dismissal, adding to mounting pressure on a government under fire on multiple fronts. The court in a statement said it had accepted a petition from 36 senators that accuses Paetongtarn of dishonesty and breaching ethnical standards in violation of the constitution over the leak of a politically sensitive telephone conversation with Cambodia's influential former leader Hun Sen. The government is expected to be led by a deputy prime minister in a caretaker capacity while the court decides the case against Paetongtarn, who will remain in the cabinet as the new culture minister following a reshuffle. The government did not immediately respond to a request for comment on her suspension. The leaked call with the veteran Cambodian politician triggered domestic outrage and has left Paetongtarn's coalition with a razer-thin majority, with a key party abandoning the alliance and expected to soon seek a no confidence vote in parliament, as protest groups demand the premier resigns. During a June 15 call intended to defuse escalating border tensions with Cambodia, Paetongtarn, 38, kowtowed before Hun Sen and criticised a Thai army commander, a red line in a country where the military has significant clout. She has apologised and said her remarks were a negotiating tactic. Reuters
