Murder of Russian general: FSB announces detention of "Ukrainian special services agent"

Details: According to the FSB, Kuzin placed a bomb in a Volkswagen Golf in Balashikha, near Moscow, resulting in Moskalik being killed in the explosion.
It is claimed that the Ukrainian agent bought the car and installed an improvised explosive device in it, taking the components for the explosive from a cache the special services had set up in Moscow Oblast.
The FSB says the explosive device was remotely activated from Ukraine as Moskalik was leaving the entrance of a residential building.
The suspect was brought to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation as part of a criminal case under Articles 205.2 (terrorist act) and 222.1.1 (illegal possession of explosives or explosive devices) of the Russian Criminal Code.

On the morning of 25 April, a car exploded in the town of Balashikha, which borders Moscow, killing Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik of the Russian Defence Ministry.

"The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces," it said in a statement on Telegram. The attack came as Trump is set to meet with Rutte, the NATO secretary general, on Monday. Rutte is in Washington, D.C., for a two-day trip ending Tuesday. Trump told a press gaggle at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Sunday that he will send Ukraine Patriot air defense system munitions, with the bill to be covered by the European Union. He also mentioned his upcoming meeting with Rutte, stating they will be sending "various pieces of very sophisticated" military equipment to Ukraine "and they're going to pay us 100% for them." Trump's announcement comes as he has grown publicly frustrated with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump campaigned on ending the war in 24 hours, but since returning to the White House in January has failed to bring about a cease-fire. He has pursued a cease-fire plan, but has been unable to get a commitment from the Russian leader. Earlier this month, Trump and Putin spoke over the phone, after which the American president told reporters that he "didn't make any progress" toward securing a cease-fire. To reporters on Sunday, he said, "Putin really surprised a lot of people. He talks nice and then he bombs everyone in the evening. There's a bit of a problem there. I don't like it."

A new Rasmussen poll to be published Monday morning shows a majority of Democrats still believe the Russia collusion hoax, even though it has been debunked repeatedly. Astonishingly, 60% of Democratic voters still think 'the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government to win the 2016 election', according to the poll of 1,014 Likely Voters conducted on July 6-7. A whopping 69 percent of liberal voters still cling to the Russia collusion hoax, compared to 27 percent of conservatives, and 45 percent of moderates. Among all voters, more believe it unlikely (49 percent) than likely (42 percent). The fact that liberals and Democrats still believe in the hoax is likely a reflection of their preferred media outlets, such as the New York Times, which refuses to hand back its ill-gotten Pulitzers, and MSNBC, which pays discredited plotters such as former CIA director John Brennan and former Mueller prosecutor Andrew Weissman to act out their Trump derangement on air. Young people are almost as deluded, with 56 percent of 18-29 year olds, believing Trump-Russia collusion was likely and 35 percent who think it was unlikely, while the rest aren't sure. The numbers are about even for 40-49 year olds and flip to the rational for 50-64 year olds, just 31 percent of whom believe the hoax while 60 percent don't. On the recent CIA review that revealed that Obama administration officials, including then-CIA Director, John Brennan, 'manipulated intelligence' about Russia to 'get Trump,' Rasmussen found that 49 percent of voters agreed with the findings, while 35 percent did not. Nevertheless, 57 percent of voters said officials who were involved in the manipulation of intelligence to 'get Trump' should be criminally prosecuted, while 26 percent disagreed, and 17 percent weren't sure. Finally, 53 percent agreed that 'What the intelligence community did to Donald Trump is a bigger scandal than Watergate', while 38 percent disagreed and 9 percent were not sure. The stubborn persistence of the Russia hoax goes to prove the adage: 'A lie can travel halfway around the world before the truth has got its boots on.'

Ukraine Says It Killed Russian Agents Who Assassinated Officer
The Security Service of Ukraine said that two people allegedly responsible for assassinating a key domestic intelligence official in a Kyiv parking lot were killed in a firefight last week. Security Service Colonel Ivan Voronych was killed on July 10 by the pair — a man and a woman — hired by Russian special services, or FSB, Ukraine's SBU said Sunday on Telegram.
