Daily Mirror6 hours ago
After waving goodbye to many fashion trends from the 90's and noughties, shoppers were left horrified to see the return of a nostalgic belt - which has left some 'screaming'
The nineties and noughties fashion trends are making a comeback, but the revival of one certain accessory has left millennials screaming in fear over it's return.
Jelly shoes and pedal pusher trousers have made a comeback in recent years without causing too much of a stir, however it's the return of the disc belts which have pushed people over the edge - with some saying it's bringing back "trauma" and "PTSD".

The large chunky belts made up of discs was a total fashion staple in it's heyday - but many hoped it would just stay in the past. So when shoppers spotted it on the shelves in Primark, people were in disbelief.

Including mum Nina Dixon, who shared a TikTok of her daughter trying one on, and sharing her horror at the return of the accessory. "They were not lying when they said fashions come back around. I need to find a photo of me in one of these," Nina captioned the post to her account @ ninadixon28.
The post has racked up over 2.5 million views and 113k likes as her daughter said she wanted her to buy it for her. Nina, who looked mortified said to her: "You do realise that when I was about 14 that is what we used to wear.

"We thought we were really cool and then we bullied them ever since. Now they've made this comeback and you're saying it's nice?!" She joked, and as their opinion on the belt different, fellow TikTokers agreed with Nina in the comments.

PTSD hahaha," and a third simply wrote: "The trauma from the disk belt."

Similarly, pedal pushers, or capri pants have also returned this year, with celebs like Frankie Bridge and Gigi Hadid spotted wearing the trending trousers So it's safe to say the vintage-style cropped leggings are making a major fashion comebacks.
They might have first arrive in fashion history back in the 1950s, but the 90s was when capri pants really came into their own, and now they're being given a seriously chic makeover ready for 2024. Gigi first donned a pair of the calf-skimming pants back in 2023 and since then they've been slowly creeping back onto our fashion radars.
