UK viewers escape the heat and binge legendary series free on YouTube
What better way to escape the scorching temperatures hitting the country this weekend by watching other people experiencing the same thing? Sounds perfect to us.
Hopefully it should also help to soften the devastating blow that the serial drama wrapped production today.
It really is the end of an era, and the third time in 40 years that the cameras have stopped rolling – though it looks unlikely that there will be any chance of a revival after Amazon Prime Video pulled the plug.
The streaming giant not only owns the rights to make new episodes, but also host an archive of classic episodes, as well as every instalment from 2012 onwards.
Whether or not the serial will remain on the platform after the finale on 11th December remains to be seen, but for now, grieving viewers can take some comfort in the fact distributors Fremantle Media have began daily uploads on video sharing site YouTube.
The Neighbours Classics channel is currently up to episode 595, which aired on 9th October 1987 in its home country, and on 2nd February 1989 in the UK.
A more contemporary offering is hosted by the Neighbours Ramsay St channel, which is currently on episode 7065, from 2015.
There hasn't been much fanfare about the new additions, though it hasn't took long for those dedicated to the show to track them down.
'I really wish I hadn't seen this. There goes my social life,' said one on Reddit.
'Hopefully they keep going,' said another.
A third added: 'This is great hopefully they show every old ep.'
There's some good news if you're fancying a nostalgic binge watch from the start – it's instantly familiar as the show that has gone on to become a global phenomenon.
Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) is roaming Ramsay Street, while his mate Shane Ramsay (Peter O'Brien) – who recently returned – lives next door.
Things were a lot simpler in 1985, with just three families creating the drama. There was no Lassiters Complex or hotel, as they didn't arrive until the following year.
We're first introduced to Shane's younger brother Danny (David Clencie), who is suffering intense nightmares about his brother's diving career, becoming a huge concern for parents Max (Francis Bell) and Maria (Dasha Blahova).
In No. 26, cheeky chappy Paul (yes, there were days before he was a ruthless businessman) lives with dad Jim (Alan Dale), grandmother Helen Daniels (Anne Haddy) and his siblings Julie (Vikki Blanche), Scott (Darius Perkins) and Lucy (Kylie Flinker).
It wouldn't be until episode 188 that Jason Donovan would take over the role of Scott, making him one of Neighbours' most iconic characters.

Despite that, executive producer Jason Herbsion recently ruled out his return in the next finale, following on from his much-hyped reappearance in 2022.
Viewers tuning into the classic episodes raged that Scott and Charlene's iconic wedding episode had been 'destroyed' earlier this month.
Unfortunately, due to licensing restrictions, the song 'Suddenly' by Angry Anderson has been stripped out from the YouTube upload. More Trending
Completing the early days cast is Des Clarke (Paul Keane), who is in for quite the surprise at his stag do when he meets stripper Daphne Lawrence (Elaine Smith).
And that's when good neighbours become good friends!
Vintage episodes can be watched now on the Neighbours Classics and Neighbours Ramsay St YouTube channels, with new episodes streaming Monday to Thursday from 7am on Amazon Prime Video.

Amazon Prime adds 'worst movie ever made' with a surprisingly good cast
Amazon Prime Video has added an action fantasy film to its streaming menu with a mere 8% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes—ouch. But at least now you can decide for yourself if it's worthy of the shocking reviews, with its one redeeming factor being a stellar cast of A-listers. Catwoman was released in 2004, with Halle Berry, Sharon Stone, Benjamin Bratt, Lambert Wilson, Frances Conroy, and Alex Borstein among its stars. The American superhero film is loosely based on the original Catwoman character from DC Comics, following the life of Patience Phillips (Berry), a shy graphic designer working for cosmetics giant Hedare Beauty. Ahead of the release of a groundbreaking anti-ageing product, Patience stumbles upon a huge conspiracy her employer is concealing, leading ultimately to her murder. But when she is revived by an Egyptian Mau cat, Patience returns with feline abilities to become the crime-busting superheroine Catwoman. The movie suffered an embarrassing flop upon release, making a loss by grossing $82.4million (£61m) against its $100m (£74m) budget. Not only that, critics have been anything but kind to it—'catty' is perhaps the most fitting word—branding it one of the worst films ever made. No, seriously, there's a Wikipedia page titled 'List of films considered the worst,' and Catwoman is on it. To add salt to the wound, Catwoman swept across awards season for all the wrong reasons, taking home not four Oscars, but rather four Golden Raspberries, including worst picture, worst director for Pitof, worst screenplay, and worst actress for Berry. At the time, though, Berry, now 58, took it in her stride, even attending the Razzies in person to give an acceptance speech—best actress Academy Award for Monster's Ball in hand, of course. 'First of all, I want to thank Warner Bros,' she said on the mic. 'Thank you for putting me in a piece of s**t, god-awful movie … It was just what my career needed.' Also in the aftermath of its release, Catwoman made Roger Ebert's 'most hated' list, was declared 'arguably the worst superhero film ever made' by the Orlando Sentinel, and called 'quite possibly' one of the worst films 'of all time' by Jean Lowerison of the San Diego Metropolitan. But it's been over two decades, so let's see what film critics in recent years have had to say… On review aggregator RT, James Vance of Tulsa World wrote in 2014: 'Halle Berry is a lovely woman with charisma to burn and definite acting ability — but even the best actors sometimes need to be told when they're making fools of themselves.' OK, perhaps not the best start. 'Another hundred million dollars down the drain,' stated Bruce Diones of The New Yorker. 'A soulless amalgamation of quick edits, computer images and swooping, nausea-inducing dolly shots,' said Associated Press journo Christy Lemire. 'Catwoman is worse than bad — it's boring. So boring it's not even laughable,' penned Matt Soergel of Florida Times-Union. So, the consensus is that it's a universally deplorable film, but there's got to be something good about it? While they may be in the minority, Film4's Daniel Etherington argues it's 'not as bad' as you might expect, calling it 'daft and moderately entertaining.' 'This hilarious, sexy, exciting farce is instead so consistently surprising and dazzling that I'm still not sure if it's a good-bad movie or a good-good movie,' mused Jeffrey M. Anderson of Combustible Celluloid. 'Much better than it had to be and a lot better than many Internet critics, eager to hate it, wanted it to be,' added Rob Gonsalves from Rob's Movie Vault in perhaps the most glowing review available. Basically, it's a film that people love to hate, and it's so bad you want to watch it to see what all the criticism is about. It's also not the only low-rated film from Berry's career, whose 2003 horror Gothika also has a 15% RT score. Although it seems she looks back on her panned projects more fondly these days, posting a nude snap on Insta when Catwoman celebrated its 20th anniversary. More Trending Her caption read: 'It's been 20 years today since I had the honor of bringing this iconic character to life. She will always be close to my heart and I will forever be Patience Phillips aka CATWOMAN! 'Thank you @missjee79! When these black beauties showed up in my yard searching for their mother, Jee helped us through the rescue process. Forever grateful!' Well, stream it for free with your Prime membership and let us know your verdict. Catwoman is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. Got a story? Influencer couple brutally mocked over newborn son's obscure name: 'He's going to be teased'
An influencer couple has been brutally mocked online over their newborn son's obscure name. Clarissa Caleb and Shaquan Roberts, known as Riss & Quan, have gained more than three million subscribers on YouTube by documenting their day-to-day endeavors as parents to three young boys. But when they recently revealed their youngest son's moniker to the world, they faced immense backlash over what they decided to name him. In a video shared to TikTok earlier this week, Clarissa and Shaquan were seen holding up a heart-shaped glass case that was filled with little balls. 'Baby boy's name is...' Clarissa said before trailing off. 'Three, two, one,' Shaquan said as he opened up a small hole at the bottom of the glass case. The balls then fell out one by one, eventually revealing their newborn's moniker written underneath: Secure Arris Roberts. The clip got nearly three million views, and many people took to the comment section to slam the unusual baby name. 'Who names they baby Secure?' asked one user. 'What's wrong with parents these days?' wondered another. 'Sometimes I think y'all forget you are naming future adults,' someone else wrote. 'Secure? You parents in this generation really don't get it. "Secure" is a word that describes a feeling. It's not a name. But to each his own,' read a fourth comment. A fifth said, 'They be calling anything as names to kids these days.' 'You guys owe him an apology,' a different user scathed. 'Poor baby when he starts school he's going to be teased,' added another person. The couple also share sons Shine Anthony Roberts and Saviour Azaire Roberts. The clip got nearly three million views, and many people took to the comment section to slam the unusual baby name In a follow-up video, they explained, 'As you guys can see we decided to keep the theme of the [initials] SAR.' 'Shaquan came up with the first name and I came up with the middle name,' Clarissa dished. Clarissa also pointed out that his middle name 'has a little piece of her' in it, explaining, 'Arris actually means "best" or "superior." But it also has "ris" in there. 'It's Greek and my first name, Clarissa, is Greek as well. I just thought it was cute, I don't know.' 'We put a ton of thought into his name, like we always do,' Shaquan added. 'We definitely wanted to go with something unique, a name that pretty much not many people in this world have.
