Bryce Hall claims 50 Cent tried to block ‘Skill House' release with $5M legal dispute
The TikTok influencer told The US Sun, 'He was essentially trying to hold us hostage for $5 million before the movie could come out.'
50 Cent reportedly filed a lawsuit alleging unauthorised use of his name, image and voice without compensation. A judge denied the request for a preliminary injunction, allowing the film's July 11 release to proceed. The case itself remains ongoing.
Hall, who stars in the film alongside 50 Cent, expressed surprise at the situation. 'We beat him in court a few days ago and now I can promote the movie and everything's fine,' he said, adding that the rapper had been 'extremely nice' on set.
Directed by creators behind the Saw franchise, Skill House depicts influencers trapped in a competition for views—where the lowest-ranking participant meets a gruesome end. 'I feel like people will do really demoralising things for views… this kind of highlights that, except obviously exaggerated,' said Hall.
Despite the dispute, Hall said he hopes to continue working in film, combining his influencer presence with acting roles. 'Obviously we had some bumps in the road with 50, but it was a really fun experience and I'd love to continue.'

Taylor Swift secretly films music video in Los Angeles amid speculation of new album release
Taylor Swift may be preparing for her next musical chapter after being spotted secretly filming a new music video in Los Angeles, according to an insider who spoke exclusively to The US Sun. Despite taking time off with boyfriend Travis Kelce following the massive success of her Eras Tour, Swift appears to be back in creative mode. "Taylor was in Los Angeles on Thursday filming a new music video," the source revealed. "It was so top secret that those working on set were not even allowed to hear the song, only the beat." The development comes as fans speculate a countdown is underway on Swift's Instagram account, believed to end in early August. Swift's last studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, dropped in April 2024, marking her eleventh release. She has maintained a pattern of unveiling new music annually since 2016, intensifying anticipation that a fresh release could be imminent. This would follow her recent acquisition of the masters for her first six albums, a deal reportedly worth $360 million. Speaking about the buyback, Swift confirmed: 'All of the music I've ever made now belongs to me… My entire life's work.' While enjoying downtime with Kelce, Swift's return to work suggests that her twelfth studio album may be closer than fans expected. Justin Timberlake's tour falling apart in real time
Justin Timberlake is under fire after a series of live performances on his latest tour left fans disappointed, confused, and even concerned. A viral video from a Paris show triggered the wave of criticism, with viewers accusing the pop star of barely participating in his own concert. In the clip, Timberlake can be seen standing almost motionless while the crowd sings most of the lyrics. Social media erupted, with Reddit threads and TikTok comments mocking the singer's apparent detachment. One user quipped, 'This performance could have been an email,' while another compared it to Airbnb: 'You pay a cleaning fee and still do the cleaning, same here, you buy a ticket and do the singing.' Critics labelled the tour the 'Justin Timberlake karaoke experience,' suggesting his backup singers were carrying the show. Others questioned whether he was even singing live at all, with comments noting the microphone was often on the floor or appeared to be off entirely. What started as jokes has escalated into speculation about Timberlake's health. Some users questioned whether he might be on vocal rest or dealing with undisclosed medical issues. One fan urged honesty, saying, 'If he can't perform, he should cancel the tour, this is manipulative.' Fans who have followed Timberlake since the early 2000s expressed heartbreak over the change. 'In 2014, he was electric on stage. Now it feels like he's just fulfilling a contract. The spark is gone,' one longtime fan wrote. Even casual observers seemed alarmed, with some admitting they were 'genuinely worried.' Despite a lone defence that crowd sing-alongs are common, the consensus online is clear: these performances feel empty, staged, and insincere. Timberlake has yet to respond publicly, but the backlash continues to mount, and so do questions about whether he's up to the demands of this tour.
