‘Was sleeping when mom told about results': NEET UG 2025 AIR 2 Utkarsh Awadhiya
NEET UG Results 2025: Utkarsh Awadhiya, who has secured All India Rank (AIR) 2 in the NEET UG 2025, said, 'My grandfather wanted my father to become a doctor; he couldn't, so I tried to fulfill his wish.' Awadhiya is now eyeing a seat at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, and is eager to become the first doctor in the Awadhiya family.
The results for the national level medical exam was announced today (June 14) by the National Testing Agency. Candidates who appeared for the exam can access their NEET UG results on the official website — neet.nta.nic.in.
NEET UG 2025 Result Live: Where to check
A general category candidate from Madhya Pradesh, Utkarsh Awadhiya achieved an impressive percentile of 99.9999095, and that too in his first attempt at cracking NEET UG. Sharing his reaction on the achievement, he said, 'I was sleeping when the NEET UG results were announced. My parents checked my scorecard, and my mother woke me up and said that I got AIR 2. At first, I was like 'you are lying, that's not happening at all,' but when I saw it myself, I was like 'Oh my god! what has happened.' The realisation took time to sink in.
NEET UG 2025 Cut off
Awadhiya said this year's paper was difficult compared to last year's. 'Biology was a little bit difficult, Chemistry was more difficult, but then Physics was deadly. I was bowled over, and I was not able to do one-third of the questions, and this is coming from a student who used to regularly score 720 in the mock tests,' he said.

The topper shared that there was a power outage at his centre in Indore. 'In my centre, electricity was gone, and it was all black. I was very terrified, but then I just closed my eyes for two minutes and calmed down, and then did all the remaining questions in a way that I had planned,' said Awadhiya.
Having enrolled in Aakash Institute's foundational NEET course in Class 10, Awadhiya started to prepare for the exam from Class 11.
'There was a fear of missing out (FOMO) to some extent, but it was very short-lived. I used to live in a hostel, and there I had many friends who had started preparing for NEET. We used to enjoy that process together,' said Awadhiya.
Awadhiya claimed that success can be achieved only when a candidate remembers his or her mistakes and avoids repeating them. 'The best success mantra I would give to fellow and future NEET aspirants is not to repeat the mistakes. Analysing what you did wrong in the last exam or mock test is essential. Making the same mistake can just flip your whole NEET UG journey,' he added.
Awadhiya has kept AIIMS, New Delhi, as his first choice and AIIMS, Bhopal, as his second option.
